Perfect for a night in the city ”
A small group of us stayed in YHA Cardiff for the night. Hotel was in prime location and it was easy to get a taxi into town. The staff were fantastic and gave us all the information we needed. I would highly recommend for others to stay here. Great value for money.

Hostel Price, Hotel Quality ”
We paid £45 a night for a premium quadruple room, which is much larger than we expected. Spacious, comfortable bed, towels and hair dryer are provided, and there’s even a television. 20 mins walk from Cardiff Central Station (not difficult to find; the hostel sent an email with clear directions), 10-15 mins walk to city centre. Very pleasant stay, could not ask for a better recommendation.

Excellent hostel”
The hostel is very clean and tidy, it occupied the whole building similar to a motel or hotel. My 4 people room has its own shower and toilet, just likes a hotel room. It requires 15 min walk from the station, 15-20 min walk to Cardiff castle and city centre. Very comfortable and you won't regret to stay at this place.

Hotel quality”
My friends and i arrived at this hostel with our expectations very very low after our experience with YHA Liverpool. But this hostel left us speechless. The room was hotel quality. Soft beds, TV, study desk, clean and sparkly bathroom. We wished we stayed a few more nights!

Smelly dirty kitchen. Ventilation system not sufficient Refrigerator s unhygienic and filthy for whole week of my stay. So sorry to have to leave such a review. Not up yha self catering standards .

Nice room, good location ”
We stayed for one night for a concert in Cardiff centre, it was a clean, large room and the location was just a short taxi ride from the centre. 3 of us stayed in one room which was plenty of space, would recommend, and happily stay again.

Great for the price I booked for ! Couldn’t complain!”
It was a fab location and only a £4taxi ride into the centre. The facility is a hostel but I had a family room which was a great size ! There is no tea or coffee facilities in the room but a bar downstairs so you can go down to get refreshments there. Only point I’d say is as the hotel is cheap there was a lot of noise thru the night of people who’d been out drinking returning back quite loud. But all in all I’d stay again!

Best Hostel I have ever stayed at!”
Rooms and bathroom look like a hotel room but only with bunk beds but it was very spacious! All the facilities are really nice. I am completely amazed with this hostel. The only bad side would be the location. There are no convenience stores nearby but it was worth it.

Great place to stay ”
Everything was great! Only cons were there was one random piece of litter in the room on arrival and check out time was rather early at 10am. That was only an issue for us as one of our group had their birthday and wanted to stay out later on the evening. Highly recommend this hostel !

The price was half the days that I was there. So! A fair one. Nice room as in an hotel with good tv, full nice washroom (but only liquid soap and no towels) but as many as 4 persons at the time. I didn't eat there or use the Wifi. Some garbage at the entrance(near the street). I forgot an important item. 2 weeks after Carly did spend 15 minutes to listen me then finally found it. Thanks Carly!

At first i was a little unsure with it being a Hostel, But on my arrival i was amazed. The hostel is modern and clean and the staff are very friendly. Breakfast was brilliant and will defo stay there again.

Affordable accommodation ”
The youth hostel was clean and presentable. It had everything I needed for the night. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I liked that the dormantry had ensuite facilities. You do need to bring id with you when checking in. It is ideally situated for the town and train station.

Good value hotel, it's not central but £6 taxi is not too bad. I would ask for a room on the top floor, not by the railway line, one of the party in our group unfortunately had an early morning wake up !!!

I'm glad you enjoyed your stay with us, the railway behind the building is the end of the line so there are no trains that pass through, although there are sometimes trailers that get moved there. Sorry that this disturbed your stay. We hope you will come back and visit us again when your next in Cardiff!

I really enjoyed my stay there, really nice staff,so friendly and helpful all the time with a big smile in their mouth and lovely kindness. I stayed there to stay 3 days in a 4 bed room, actually it was like a Hotel, with lcd tv and sofa inside of that, so lovely, but there are something i don't really dare with it: Wifi, completely bad in the whole place, room and common areas. I highly recommend this place, but please guys, change the wifi, is absolutely terrible.

Pleasantly surprised by the modern facilities and rooms”
We had a room with 2 queen beds for the 4 of us. It has attached bath and toilet. Beds were old and spring a bit squeaky. Two of the 4 bedside lights were not working. But consider the price we paid, we were really pleased with the accommodation. Wouldn’t mind going back at all.

It not city centre but you you can walk it, or get a taxi. For the price you can not go wrong, but would like a kettle in the room and a safe that you can use ! . The 10am checkout is also a bit too early .....11am PLEASE ON A SUNDAY!!!
