Very friendly and very very helpful staff. Very good location for airport transit( near to airport+ free airport shuttle every hour) Free breakfast (not very fresh) Remember its an islam hotel so men and women are at seperate floor and cannot be in the same room.

City view room without windows ”
So I booked a city view room, but it turned out to be without any windows. The room was dirty, WiFi didn’t work, toilet can’t be flushed. The plus is Staffs were very friendly and gave breads for breakfast on the go. Glad only stayed here for one day to catch an early international flight.

EXCELLENT LOCATION with a FREE airport SHUTTLE”
The door lock to the room was "iffy," so I got a different room. The sheets were freshly laundered, tho with faintly visible stains --yet clean !! The bathroom was clean, with hot water. The bed was comfortable, for a good sleep. The FREE Airport SHUTTLE was great, as my flight was leaving at 6:20am. I was unable to try the breakfast. I was able to find a SIM card for my i phone in a small street-side shop. There was excellent street food for a late dinner directly across the street. There are numerous vendors and convenience stores along the street. I definitely recommend Walan Syariah for convenience re the airport !

Transit hotel ”
Good for transit. Have free airport shuttle (5 min away) every hour even in midnight. Staff was extremely kind. Obviously u have to realized its a syariah hotel so no mixing of guys n girls. Have to separate rooms n floors. Breakfast was given two rice option with fruits,tea,bread up for grab. If u have a long waiting hour, this is a good hotel for transit. Room isn't exactly clean.bed is a bit sinking. But it's ok for a night. Toilet is OK clean. Toiletry was given and free drinking water refill in corridor.

The airport transfer was easy to arrange. We arrived at the international terminal and asked the nice ladies at the Information to call the hotel for us. And the pickup from Walan Syariah Hotel arrived in just 10 min.

Superb service throughout”
In my lapse in checking, I didn't realize my booked room came with breakfast and free airport transfer. From check in to out, Walan Syariah has provided unparalleled service. Being situated right across two gas stations and a clutter of food stalls made our stay all the smoother. Excellent uncovered gem.

Near airport, free shuttle from to airport juanda”
A very good choice for our big family (2 adult, 2toddlers and 2babies), we were arrived at Surabaya 11pm, it very helpful bcoz they have free shuttle from to juanda airport.. We choose the hotel because they have a family room (with 2 bedroom), the breakfast only have a limited choices but the taste is not so bad, its actually OK. The staff are friendly. The hot water cannot the set to the right temperature (too hot or cold) *but they provide a bucket, so we just contain the hot water first, than add them cold water.

This was the 1st time for our family stay in hotel during transit. Booked thru agoda 3 days in advance. During check-in, the receptionist could not find any notification from agoda in their system about my booking. Took more than 15 minutes until she asked me to forward my booking ticket as evidence. She's nice enough to comfort me & wife by telling it's not a big deal & nothing to be worried while she & friend working clarifying my booking. We booked for family room but it's full. They offered 2 rooms without charge but we say no. Finally they upgrade us to VIP & extra bed for 4 of us with no additional charge She, the recepsionist, ask us about flight detail next morning. She told there will be "morning call" by phone which i found out later that phone line is not connected. Only 1 towel provided for 4 of us, it makes my wife open the luggage again. Anyway... room is clean & nice. It's syariah hotel that make us chose it compared to other options. Free shuttle also helps us without any hassle in the morning. There's still room for improvement for this hotel. It's good enough if you just want to stay short night during transit.

Clean and comfortable for a night's rest”
We were there during the fasting month and being a Syariah hotel, both our pre-dawn and break-fast meals were provided free. In fact, both were delivered personally to our room. Amenities are simple, but clean. There are plenty of street food near the hotel. The only downside is the location of the hotel which is along a narrow, crowded and busy street. So it could get noisy and dusty during the day.

it was so so for 1 night stay”
i got room at 3rd floor, the room was okay but the sink's broken (no water come out), the shower handle too so i need to use my hand and the blanket is too short, only up to my waist. Since i was only stay for 1 night and really exhausted so i just enjoy it as it is. i didn't try their breakfast, this is another good point beside location, price and free airport shuttle, even you booked for room only, the hotel gives you breakfast. i should try another room so i can give my opinion whether it is recommended or not.

Convenient airport location, good value. ”
We arrived around 8pm and were radiantly greeted. We left very early the next morning as this was a lay over in Surabaya. Our rate included breakfast but our flight time meant we would miss it. The reception staff offered us dinner instead which was much appreciated and quite nice. The room itself was tidy and clean as well as spacious. We were driven to the airport the next morning free of charge. The staff were very friendly and we would recommend staying here for a cheap layover in Surabaya.

Great for airport convenience”
The hotel is nice. Good bed, no hot water. There was little bugs all over the place. If you are planning to explore surabaya its not in a great location, its on a very busy road.

Stayed one night only before getting on the shuttle to Mt. Bromo the next day from the airport. Hotel provides a free shuttle to the airport (10 mins). Contact the hotel directly for airport-hotel transfer. Nice clean and comfortable room. Many local travelers.

Really pleasant stay. Stuff was really helpful. Although the hotel is situated rather far from centre they organized transport with a driver for a small city tour. It was amazing! Rooms are clean and well equipped. Breakfast is served with Indonesian food.

Good choice near airport”
It is a good choice if you have your flight in the morning on the next day because of the very close distance like 5 mins ride away and the hotel offers free airport transfer. The neighbourhood has plenty of cheap but delicious local food plus some convenient store. The downside is that they do not provide Wifi in guestrooms, only in lobby area. Also there is only one socket in room where you can charge all of your electronic gadgets -- mobile, notebook, camera and that means you have to unplug TV.

simple, close to airport”
Lulu was very helpful. The hotel provided someone to pick us up from the hotel and also dropped us off when we needed to leave. After a long day of work, Lulu made us an orange drink. In the morning, the Rawon (traditional East Indonesian food) was very tasty.
