"My partner and I originally booked 2 nights at verde view villas. Upon arriving and seeing the beautiful view, and rooms as well as interacting with the wonderful staff, we decided to extend our stay another night. The staff are all so welcoming, friendly and eager to help with anything. The owners are very generous and welcoming people, they have a house close by and invited us to eat meals on their verandah as it has a great view. During our stay we enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinner at the restaurant (especially the soups). Some of the ingredients are even grown on the grounds of Verde View. The rooms were nice, modern and comfortable and feature Apple TV with a few thousand movies. Last but not least they have a nice pool and private beach access :) If we are ever in Puerto Galera again we will be staying at Verde View Villas. "

"My wife and I stayed here from November 1 to November 5. From the moment we arrived we were warmly greeted by the staff with a mango shake and cool towel to refresh us from our walk to the resort. The resort is immaculately kept and every encounter we had we the staff was pleasant. Our spa suite was very clean and having a hot tub in the room really made it special. Our view was also great looking out into the ocean. What really sets this place apart is The Verandah restaurant attached to the resort. They have a nicely varied menu with everything cooked to perfection. The food was so good on day my wife and I decided to eat every meal there rather than venture out. They have everything from traditional Filipino dishes like sinagang to wagyu steak to homemade pasta. I'm not kidding when I say every meal we had was great. By the way they use filtered water so no worries about stomach problems. I highly recommend Out of the Blue Resort if you are in the Puerto Galera area.Thank you again to Rhendo and his staff for a memorable stay. "

"I occupied the garden view room located at the ground floor of the building It was very humid and not pleasant to stay inside; Because of the rain plants attracted mosquitoes at night Excepted the lady in charge of the cleaning, the welcome of the staff was not warm. "I had been to White Beach a few times a decade ago and had always found it to be too crowded and noisy. Therefore, I had long shunned Puerto Galera as a vacation destination. However, this weekend trip to Monkey Beach Dive Resort was a revelation - that I was basically ignorant of the best that Puerto Galera had to offer. Found on Sabang, MBDR (along with sister propert Verde View Villas) sits on a hill with a commanding view of the coast of Batangas and islands in between. It is isolated from the pier and town proper, but made convenient with the free transport provided by the resort. MBDR has 5 rooms. Though basic in design, what stands out are the extremely beautiful views and the high quality creature comforts inside the rooms (Apple TV, good wifi, large comfy bed, large bathroom, etc.). The pool is so scenic and perfect for a dip! Food quality is above average, but I think slightly expensive. This is not a place for budget travelers, so be warned. "

"It is a great location and the staff / owners are super friendly. Close to a remote beach and great view from the house. We had a good time overall. But honest is honest the quality of the interior is not up to standard when you pay 300 USD per night. No proper showers, beds and pillows are basic, towels cheap. No proper TV and sound installation. Kitchen is suitable but old. There are no airco’s in the house. For the living room this is no problem it catches lovely winds from the open ocean in front of you. For bedrooms I would have licked to have one. Funiture is old and could get update. Don’t let this stop you to book the place there the location is fantastic. "
