Exceptional”
The hotel is near the St Ives station but on a slope so you have to pull up your luggage. It has a garage for guests to park cars and it was free which is really helpful. The view of the ocean from the room is also really nice.

Convenient and decent for a short St. Ives getaway”
The hotel is on a road overlooking the train station and a short walk from the high street. Staff were helpful. The hotel itself looks very dated and the room could have been cleaner and less worn. The lift is quite rickety, but if you are on a low floor and can manage staircases, it is still a functional spot for quick and easy access to the beach and waterfronts

Superb location, superb view”
Rooms with uninterrupted blue ocean views, very clean, functional & spacious rooms.. Very short walk to the beach and bus stop. The hotel was great, and St Ives is much more quaint and nice to be in Cornwall than Penzance.

Very good”
It's perfect location to stay in St. Ives. Rooms have nice sea views. Railway station and bus station are on 1 minutes of walking distance and main market is on 3-5 minutes of walking distance. Highly recommended...

Above average”
The hotel is very old. Rooms are dirty. Lots of hair found on the bed. No soap or shampoo in the bathroom. The car park is very dirty. However, the lady at the reception is very helpful and friendly.

Great View of the Sea ”
The rooms facing the sea have a wonderful view and the location of the hotel is perfect. Just a little walk away from the city center which avoids the noise.

Great location”
We stayed for 1 night for our wedding anniversary. The hotel was easy to find, there's a parking garage behind the hotel. Was very tight on space but luckily I have a small car. We checked in easy, the lady on reception was lovely. Our room was a bit tired looking- door handle hanging off, dirty carpets, damp in corner of room. Bits were quite dirty. The bathroom had a strong smell of urine, under the bathroom sink was filthy and dusty. Pubes in the corner of the bathroom. Ignoring the bathroom, we were relatively happy, we didn't plan to spend much time in the room. The hotel was 5 min walk to the town centre and the bay. The main beach and train station were a 2 min walk if that. The only issue we had was in the morning we came out for our breakfast to find it ended at 9am. No one had told us when we checked in that it was 7.30-9. Luckily the chef offered to give us some food that was left over. We'd definitely come back, for the location and we were happy with price we paid.

One night stop ”
Booked at the last minute to join friends for a day for my son and myself. Lovely big clean family room. We added on breakfast which was decent and no charge for my son. Shower flow was too weak but wasn’t worried for one night. The fire doors in the corridor could do with some new dampeners as the noise of people returning to rooms late woke us in the night. Overall good value for a cheap room in st ives in half term.

Great Location, Ok Room”
The view we got was great, direct view of the beach. However the room and the cleanliness wasn’t that great. There was a used razor and dirty socks left in the room, probably from previous guests. There weren’t any outlets close to the bed to charge your phone. The TV worked but the smart function did not. The phone in the room didn’t work either. The ceiling had cracks and looked like it had a leakage problem that may not have been fixed, it made the room look dirty. The shower glass in our room was broken off like half was removed. The room we got was only worth it for the location from the hustle and bustle of St. Ives and the view. For the room itself the money was not worth it.

Pigeon excrement”
As other reviews have indicated previously, the parking facility is likely to leave your car plastered in pigeon poo. Probably why they don't tell you where it is until you turn up (it's on the other side of the the street behind, in an open garage/car port thingy). Not sure how they solve this, but looks like they've given up trying.

Good location but photos looked a lot better than the room in real life. Room smelt musty and mouldy. Car parking space was dirty with loads of pigeons and pigeon poo.

Dissapointed ”
The hotel was no lift and they gave us the third floor room which is a double bed for us couple 🤦♀️The bathroom was not seem cleaned and so narrow that even 1 person will have a hard time taking a shower. We are a couple and they gave as double room, the receptionist didn’t even bother to look for a double room for us. Although the location of the hotel is breathtaking as it has an overlooking view of the sea and the breakfast is good, but sa staff and customer service is very dissapointing. It needs an inprovement as well as the renovation coz it seemed so dirty and old.

The worst hotel I've ever seen. No room's cleaning at all for the 4 days we stayed not even clean towels provided,we had a cup of tea on our arrivel and the dirty mugs still there when we left after 4 days even having given us a paper at the check in saying the room would be cleaned dayli unless we put the do nit distub sign on the door,One of the beds was so bad that my husband end up sleeping on the floor for 3 nights. The shower handles full of rust. The breakfast taste horrible. When we reported that to reception they not even apologise and said that's because of covid.

Quite disappointed”
We met some kind and helpful staff at the hotel, but unfortunately, we were really disappointed with our experience. Reasons are as follows: 1) We sent emails to secure a car park prior to arriving. They were never answered so we stressed about parking. 2) We tried numerous times to call the hotel and couldn’t get through. Once we checked in, we often dialled O to contact reception. The phones were never answered. We got through once out of 10 or so tries. 3) The welcome letter says that rooms are serviced daily. We were told on arrival that that wouldn’t be the case. We forgot about that and after a long day out needed towels to shower. We were told the hotel has completely ran out of towels. To one lady’s credit, she rusted some up and delivered them quickly. 4) As I couldn’t reach reception by phone, I went down in person. I found a note on the desk saying ‘desk unattended. Please go to the bar.’ I went to the bar and found a note saying ‘bar unattended. Please go to reception.’ I didn’t find this funny. 5) The building doesn’t have easy access. You need to haul luggage and prams up and down internal and external stairs. There is only 1 elevator inside the very centre of the hotel (after stairs) and it fits 2 adults tightly. On a positive note, the man who helped us che k out was absolutely wonderful and we appreciated his service.
