Tranquil and peaceful”
Luku Villa was exactly what we were looking for for a quiet getaway. Our villa was the lowest villa, right in front of the river which was great as the sound of the flowing water was very calming. The villas are surrounded by trees which set the tranquility of the surroundings. The villa itself was very spacious and well designed. Not many TV channels, but they also have a DVD player (with DVDs available at the reception). Breakfast was served right on time everyday at the villa (so was room service), and very quietly too. By the time you leave your villa, the food is all set and ready in the outdoor kitchenette/dining area (all covered to avoid any bugs). We had massages at the gazebos right next to the river too which was totally relaxing. Luku Villas is perfect for couples who want a romantic and quiet time together. However, before you decide to book, you must remember that the villa is in the midst of greenery and trees i.e. there will be bugs. The pool will also have leaves, flowers etc, tho will be cleaned by staff. The "hike" up and down to your villa is a little work, but not a big price to pay for staying there. It is far from the main areas of Bali i.e. Seminyak (40 mins), Kuta, but the staff can help arrange for taxies and restaurant appointments for you. The staff were great and even helped get a piece of cake (for free!) as I informed them that it was my partner's birthday. Personally, Luku Villa was a little piece of heaven and we will definitely make a trip back!

My husband and I stayed for three nights, at the end of our three - week - vacation on Bali, at the Luku Villa. We loved our stay there in the middle of nowhere and would´ve liked to stay longer, but couldn´t, because our flight back was already booked. The staff was very friendly, the whole hotel was in great shape. It was clean, you had a lot of space. A perfect place for newlyweds. When they realized, that it´s our honeymoon, they decorated the room in a special way with lots of flowers, even the bathtub and we got a small honeymooncake. They were very attentive. The hotel has two bicycles for guests. The bikes don´t cost you anything and you can ride them to get to Tanah Lot, which is only 3 km away. Food is a little bit more difficult, if you don´t want the food the hotel offers you. You can either drive to Tanah Lot or you have to walk a while, but then you´ll find small places, where you can eat and you´ll find some small shops as well. If you don´t want to leave the hotel, because you want to relax in private, it is perfect, but if you want to get around you need a bike, car or motorbike. And Transport to the airport costs you 250 000 IDR. When we left, we also got a small present from the hotel, a beach sarong. I thought that it was a very nice gesture. We loved it, can recommend it and would come back anytime.

A peaceful and luxurious hideaway”
We really enjoyed our stay at the Luku Villa. It was amazing value for the money (we had a 50% off deal). The Villa is huge, beautiful and very private. We were located by the river with lush vegetation and lots of birds and butterflies flitting around, a huge bedroom, luggage room, bathroom (enormous stone bath), private pool and outdoor kitchen dining. It was quite a way down to our villa but the steps are small and easy to navigate and the peace is incredible. If you want less steps maybe ask for a villa closer to the top of the hill. The staff were really lovely, very helpful and always available to help you with any request. You are a little out of the way here but local drivers will take you anywhere you want to go and you get to see village life, farming and local beaches. The proximity to the famous Tanah Lot temple is fantastic, we were there when a big festival was occurring and it was a highlight of our trip.

This is the sanctuary you're looking for”
We had the most amazing time in The Luku Villa mostly due to the service we received from the staff. Though not located near the beaches like Seminyak or Kuta (40-60mins away by taxi), it was a true sanctuary where you would be able to take a breather and enjoy the incredible setting of the villa. It was a totally stress free process and the staff took great initiative in making sure we were comfortable from day to night. They were very generous with their service and even took us out on their scooters to Tanah Lot (5mins away) and for dinner nearby! The villa does not have its own restaurant but room service can be arranged by the crew who would take away food from nearby restaurants. They can also hire an external spa team who can come in for your balinese massage in a gazebo by the river (yes, you wake up to the sounds of singing birds and a running river!) There were definitely a lot less bugs than we expected given that we were in the midst of such lush greenery. In all, we had a great stay with them and I would recommend that you not hesitate in booking a place with the villa if you're looking for a place to spend quality time with your loved ones.

Perfect ”
Highly recommend if you just want to get away for a while and enjoy each others company in a very lovely room with a lot of space and light. I have stayed in many hotels and being in the industry I highly recommend this hotel to be very good. Fantastic for honeymooners or just a week away from the stresses of today's society . The staff could not do enough for you they were all very lovely. We enjoyed our stay at The Luku Villa and will defiantly go there again when we touch down in Bali.

Awesome Private Villas”
Spent an awesome night at The Luku Villa. From the huge rooms, private swimming pool to room service, these villas can't be beat! A little off the beaten path (which makes the setting peaceful), highly recommended. A short 15 minute bike ride to Tanah Lot is a great way to see the temple and be able to stop at shops along the way. Yes the rooms are priced higher than cheap accommodation, but totally worth every penny.

Absolutely fantastic!”
We can't say enough good things about The Luku Villa. The location was away from any hustle but not too far away from the beaches or points of interest. You needed a motorbike to get around and the staff were more than happy to arrange that for us at a very reasonable rate. The villa itself is done up really well and very spacious. Breakfast was fair and we ordered dinner once at the Villa, which was pretty good. Can't recommend this enough!

Peace and Serenity”
It was a wonderful experience, we totally loved it! Waking up in the fresh morning mist and cool mountain air was simply a luxury, coming from a hectic city. Given this, the location though not on the tourist beaten track, was exactly the reason I chose the Luku. Prepare a car and driver to get to anywhere once done cocooning in the well appointed villas. If there was anything I'd like see improved, it would probably be the food served. It was adequate, but not as tasty as many local places I have tried during this trip. But overall, highly recommended if you know what you are looking for.

Great service, good privacy”
It was a very pleasant stay at The Luku. The staff was patient and courteous and explained to us about the room. Also, they automatically upgraded my villa to a better bedroom villa with a bigger private swimming pool upon knowing that it was my birthday. They also prepared a cake that was delivered to my room. Very pleased with the service standards. No other facilities like gym, lounge available.

We love the stay in the villa. Excellent services! Everyday when we were back from outside, the room was already nicely prepared. The aircon was on, we never suffered from insects. The breakfast was served in the dinning room of our villa. The staff came in and serve the breakfast at our chosen time, and leave quietly. We even didn't notice they were there to bring the breakfast. The staffs are very friendly and attentive. The checkout was very fast, and we even got a nice scarf as souvenir from the villa. Must try: echo beach seafood BBQ dinner. The only one drawback is: the location is a bit far from the busy ubud area (1 hour drive), where you can get nice paintings and souvenir at a cheap price.but if you have visited bali before, you may want to stay at this hotel for relaxed vocation. You can enjoy the villa itself and have no need to go out.

Very relaxing”
The villas are fantastic, just as they're shown in the pictures. Great for getting away from it all in Bali. Only downside is the lack of restaurants nearby, you can order excellent take away which the staff will collect for you and serve on proper plates. Staff are extremely friendly.

Lovely private pool villas & AMAZING staff”
Each apartment has its own pool. This is for people who are looking for privacy with a luxury feeling. You can see that the apartments are not the newest ones.. but it‘s not disturbing and could be fixed easily. Especially the kitchen in our villa was rundown unfortunately. But after telling the staff they immediately called someone and tried to fix it. The staff is AMAZING!! The lovely ladies of the villa fulfilling every wish and whim. Also if you ask for anything special, they do everything to arrange for you. This is a real hidden gem. Highly recommended!!

Stay was nice, villa's are fine with private pool. Only the staf informed us a little late about the beaches close to the villa's which are nice, such as Echo Beach. Food we ordered the first night in the luku villa was very poor, not to advice.

Highly recommend ”
We couldn’t have asked for a better last nights stay while in bali! The private plunge pool was warm and relaxing, the service was outstanding, everybody was so kind! Massage services were very affordable and all in the comfort of your room. There are insects but we were unfazed by this as we were in the jungle! Highly recommend!

Great villa at affordable price”
The location is a bit far, but the villa is well-maintained. The price is great for a room with your own pool. Do note that the design of villa is some-what open style, so your neighbors could see your pool if they really want to. It wasn't a problem for us though. Staffs are great, I would definitely come back and stay again.

heart of Bali”
We had the main high suit. It was just amazing. The swimming pool was so big, just for us. The view is surrounded by luxurious plants, birds and butterfly. The staff is kind, smiling and will do all their best to make you enjoy the stay. We had a lovely stay with lovely staff in a lovely place. Ps: massages ordered were so greats. Souksma to the owner and her team. We tried several meals and the food was always fine. When we asked for a taxi to the owner she checked the price with us to avoid over pricing (lovely behavior)
