Hotel is a bit old fashioned and run down but rooms were clean and tidy. The food was excellent although choice was limited. The outstanding thing was the staff, so pleasant, friendly and could not do enough for you. This just made my stay perfect.

Great food, great staff, great location and great value!”
Spent two nights at Linton Hotel, staff couldn’t do enough for us, room very clean and comfortable. Had fantastic meals and enjoyed sitting out in beer garden in evening. Great value for money, would definitely return.

Overnight stay for a local wedding ”
Clean, comfortable, perfectly functional. What more do you need? Staff were absolutely fantastic and a lovely breakfast in the morning. Will be my first choice if I need to stay in the area again.

Lovely”
Really helpful staff, doggie friendly and super comfortable. Was in a great location for what we needed and all made even better by the snow that fell, making everything look so picturesque. Would happily stay here again x x

We stayed at the Linton hotel so we could attend our friends wedding nearby. The room was spacious, the bed huge - everything clean. The rooms are in need of a refresh but still recommended. Breakfast was traditional fried with tea/coffee - no complaints.

Well established Hotel & Steakhouse”
Well established hotel & Steakhouse and being an older property has been converted to provide ensuite toilet/shower facilities within existing bedrooms which are not spacious but more than adequate for our short 3 day stay. Room 2 has a view out over the back garden and was clean and comfortable with large (almost super size bed). The staff were very friendly and approachable with nothing too much trouble for them. Breakfast was cooked to order, very tasty and hot with local produce and well presented by the chef (Joe). We were lucky to dine in on the Thursday evening which is "Steak night" and during a chat with Joe after breakfast on that morning gave us an insight on the steak provided by local butchers. The owner of hotel Pat is a butcher to trade and very particular with regards his suppliers which made the steak a meal to remember. The public bar is very cosy with a real fire and friendly local clientele that were easy to chat and spend time with. It seemed every customer was on first name terms which made for a very pleasant and interesting evening. The paintings of the hotel hanging in the bar were done by a local retired art teacher and it was interesting to hear the story behind the paintings. (you'll need to go and hear about them first hand)..... you won't be disappointed with either the story or your stay at the hotel.

Very disappointing”
The bedroom was dirty, marks on wall and carpet not hoovered. The bathroom was a disgrace, cracked sink not properly attached to wall, silicone around w.c. pedestal missing and dirty floor. The bed was too big for the room and only one chair for a couple, ridiculous !

Oh Dear!!”
Think of an old village pub with rooms upstairs. Fail to understand how it has 4* and 8.2 ratingI would rate poor 3*. Staff were very pleasant but environment poor

Down-to-earth good value”
Our two nights here were great. The dinners were both generous and very tasty, really good quality food. The interior and fittings have seen better days, but were more than made up for by the staff (especially Sarah), who were charming, attentive and efficient. Definitely good value.
