The best thing is the great view you get from the open space on the cliff and the sunset from there! The hostel is nice, very chill with a cosy open space, the staff is great (locals & volunteers). We got great recomendations from the staff here. Beds are comfy. You can do snorkelling right bellow the hostel. Food is good here if you don't fancy a walk down to the town. We really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely come back!

We had a private room. If I stayed again I would opt for a room with AC. The bar/restaurant is really comfortable and the view is amazing. You do have to walk up a rocky dirt road to get to this property.

Lovely and relaxing ”
I stayed at the double room. The room is clean and quiet. There’s no sink, which was ok enough. There’s a kettle in the room, but no coffee, tea or water. But the bed and pillows is comfortable. The common room is super chill, with beautiful views! The food at the restaurant is also good! Definitely gonna stay here again!

Located a bit aside of the main beach and up the hill it has everything you need. Reception/bar has a pretty comfortable terrace with cool spots for good photos. As you walk downstairs there’s an access to water - you can also rent snorkeling equipment for just 1$. Beds are singles(which is a great advantage) with lockers attached. There’s plenty of bathroom/toilet cabins, all clean. Staff is friendly and helpful.

I could not recommend more. This is a beautiful location. It can get a little bit toasty if you’re not right under a fan. And the beds are all but outdoors so the bugs got me. But any negative was overpowered by the positive aspects of this location. I would stay at Cliff hostel again in a heartbeat. Good wifi.

Perfect stay, extended twice :)”
I loved my stay here! It’s about a 10 minute walk from town, up a pretty brutal hill (when it’s hot) but it’s worth it for me and take it as getting a little exercise ;) The hostel is very basic, basically an open plan wooden structure set up with no doors and windows. It has a super rustic feel and that’s what I loved about it. There are mosquito nets and fans which keep the mosquitos away. There are also lockers to keep your stuff. The common area is my favorite part, the best place to watch the sunset and enjoy happy hour. There’s plenty of space so it never felt crowded. You can also go down to the water and snorkel, they have great quality snorkels to rent for $1. This was a perfect oasis to relax on this amazing island, highly recommend.

Go for the view”
By far the best part of this hostel is the bar and clifftop hangout area. It is absolutely gorgeous, and there are plenty of places to sit, including some very picturesque swings. Sitting out here at nighttime is one of my favorite memories of Cambodia. Everything else is really basic. I slept in the dorm, which is basically just a big open space with beds placed one after another. The mosquito nets had holes, so I spent my nights in the company of many bugs, slathered in mosquito repellent. My biggest complaint is that the whole space is just open—there is no door to enter. So anybody on the island could just walk up while you are sleeping. If it rains and there is a lot of wind, it sweeps through the dorm. In any case, I would still stay again for the view.

Great Value for Money!”
This place is great value for money with a super chilled vibe. Located just a short walk from the centre of town. Very peaceful. Superb view out across the ocean and great snorkelling. Spacious dorms. Nice restaurant with friendly staff. Good WiFi in bar. Slight con: shower block could be cleaner and floors of dorm could be swept more often. Other than that I’d definitely recommend it.

Nice but not what I expected”
The room was so simple and has few intimacy with the other rooms, because the wall is so thin and is not separated enough one of the others. The bathroom is so basic too, and there are a lot of bugs in and out the room, but the can enter without problem bc is opened in the top of the walls. Despite of this, the bar is so nice place, and there is a cliff in front of them and you can go down (there are stairs) and dive or see the sunset. Its so beautiful. Is located at the end of the town, but its ok, only at 5 minutes from the beach. Near there are a lot of restaurants and bars.

Wasted potential. Read below, before you go.”
Nov 2022: Good music, chill place at sunset. Nice coral reef just off the rocks doen a path. BUUUT... Average food, no draft beer. They don't even bother to replenish the big water bottle (which is not free). Even for hostel guests. The dorms have curtains at the end of the beds. i.e. You're practically sleeping outdoors. The private rooms upstairs feature tiny bathrooms, with showers almost directly over the toilets, and they don't even have sinks (wtf?), let alone mirrors. I couldn't shave. This place has so much potential but they're not living up to it. Go for a snorkel + sunset + a can of beer. Be prepared to walk up a rocky dirt road. Flip flops are ok.

Basic accommodation- we liked it just fine. There was a lot of miscommunication with staff and it is common for them to overbook. Also the bug nets did not fully cover the bed in the second room they moved us too. deff book if you are a chill person and if you get a good deal on Agoda:)
