Un petit coin de paradis - A heavenly place”
We were warmly welcomed by a smiling staff who led us to our spacious and bright air-conditioned room bungalow with a tiled terrace overlooking the surrounding mountains, torrent and amazing landscape. The tropical garden , the gorgeous pool and ponds are beautifully taken care of. We particularly enjoyed our breakfast, lunchees and dinners in the restaurant on stilts enabling us to have even a better view of our surroundings. the The hotel is located in the middle of the Sidemen mountainous countryside, so we went for a 4h amazing walk accompanied by the hotel's extremely friendly guide .The atmosphere at Tepi Sungai is extremely special, you just feel as if you were in paradise Nous avons été chaleureusement accueillis par toute l'équipe souriante de Notre cottage tout en bois était spacieux, clair et nous avons apprécié la beauté de la déco . De la terrasse, nous avions une vue imprenable sur la piscine et sur les montagnes et le torrent en contrebas L'hôtel est niché au milieu d'un jardin tropical paysagé dont se dégagent de belles senteurs. C'était le plus beau jardin de notre séjour de 15 jours! Nous y avons mangé d'excellents plats indonésiens, là encore sur une terrasse dont la vue est à couper le souffle. Evidemment, nous étions au calme , ce que nous recherchions. Bravo Tepi Sungai!

Relaxing and Peaceful”
Lovely place to relax and recharge, especially after a hiking trip to Mt. Agung. Falling asleep to the sound of the river water was a bonus. The room was fan-cooled, which was enough to help us feel comfortable during the hot day (with the option to dip in the pool if we felt a bit too warm) and at night it even felt chilly. The young staff are very friendly and attentive. For those driving to the guesthouse: The bridge that takes you over the river from Sidemen area to the guesthouse collapsed recently, and it will be sometime before any repair is made. Therefore, to reach the guesthouse, one needs to go past Sidemen, past Muncan to Sanggem, and approach the guesthouse from the north. Using Google Map and just old-fashioned asking the locals helped us find the way. Despite this minor inconvenience, we would definitely consider returning to this quiet spot in Bali on our next visit.

Fantastic views/location, simple but nice cottages”
Perfect place for a quiet and peaceful weekend escape. We enjoyed the view and the sound of the river while sitting on the veranda of our wooden bungalow. Food options are limited but the indonesian items we tried were tasty and with lots of really fresh vegetables. Breakfast on the other hand was a bit too simplistic. The room is basic but at this price better than expected. Comnfortable bed with mosquito net. Only fan, no aircon (though we didn't miss it at all). There is no wifi. Important note if arriving by car: the bridge which collapsed many months ago still isn't fixed (and i doubt Indonesian government will do so any time soon ...) and if coming from the sidemen village side it's not possible to reach the hotel by car. You either need to arrive from the other side of the valley or park the car on the other side near the bridge and cross the (collapsed) bridge by foot. The hotel staff arrived very quickly to help us carry our bags.

Best stay in Indonesia! ”
Our stay at Tepi Sungai was the best we‘ve had on our 3 week trip in Indonesia! The stop it absolutely idyllic, the rooms are great and the staff is very attentive. All in all I’d recommend staying here to any couple or good friends.

A quiet place to chill out”
We stayed there two nights it was a really nice change from Legian, no traffic no people no noise, just the sound of the magnificent river below the guesthouse. The room we stayed in was perched over a large pond full of many types and sizes of fish some were quite large especially the Pacau which were 3kg plus there were six large ones that we saw (Pacau are a member of the Piranyah family but are vegetarian and grow to 40kg and 1.2m in length) We fed the fish on many occasions on left over cooked plain rice and Prawn crackers we had purchased across the road at the small shop. The room was comfortable with a large bed it came with a with mosquito net and huge shower/ bathroom. Outside was a balcony overlooking the pond it had a table and chairs to sit and relax. There is a good menu and the food is very nice, ( if you like spirits or wine take a bottle with you ) the kitchen is quite a distance from the restaurant so things take a little longer than normal to arrive but who was in a hurry anyways. The staff are very friendly and always trying to please you with a big smile. My advise take a good book, a computer full of movies, a deck of cards with you or lots of music to listen to as there is nothing to do but relax by the pool, or in your room or watch the river from the Restaurant. Eating, talking, drinking and soaking in the pool are the only other activities. If you like walking head back along the road over the bridge toward the main road there are a few other shops, Restaurants and Warungs nearer to the main road. This is a place to unwind for a few days, there are many guest houses and homestays in the area but the view from this Restaurant I don't think could be matched by any of them. We will stay there again for sure but will make sure we are prepared the next time well worth a stay.

Excellent bungalow hotel room stay thing.. very nice location, great surroundings, the best place I’ve seen in Bali so far. My goal was to calm down and drive around a little before going home-home.. this was an ideal location for that. I will come back here if I can!

A mixed bag”
Rooms are comfortabke and basic, pool good but unfiltered, restricted number of sun beds. Staff friendly and helpful despite limited english. Food is basic and very variable in quality, sometimes only just warm, and different meals indistinguishable from eachother although one twice the price of the other. Motor bike rental ridiculous price at Rp92k per day and one bike totally unsafe with faulty brakes and steering. Location difficult now as vehicle access bridge has collapsed making even motor bike access to Sidemen potentially dangerous, so hotel is quite isolated

Quite place by The river”
The location is perfect if you want to relax and away from hustle bustle. All you Can hear is The sound of The river Which is very soothing. But since The location is away from The Center of sidemen (just because they are still fixing The bridge that supposed to be connecting The center) so when you stay here you only Can depend on The restaurant at this hotel for meals. I wasnt really impressed with The food though. I Ordered twice something with chicken but they were not Made it well done. So since then i just ordered The vegetarian food, and Its OK.

The room are beautiful, bathroom open on the outside, it's in the middle of the forest and next to the river, it's really exotic. The only bad thing is, if you are a room next to little waterfall it's really noisy. The food is nice too, highly recommend

lovely serene location”
The location of this guesthouse is beautiful with nice views of the flowing Creek complete with ducks. Most of the cottages are on stilts above fish filled ponds, a beautiful setting, the rooms are lacking storage for belongings though there is no wardrobe or drawers or luggage bench so you have to keep everything in your suitcase on the floor so for that reason a short stay is OK but a longer stay I would find this inconvenient it's also a good 30 - 35 min walk into town, but we did enjoy our 3 day stay.

Beautiful setting on and around running water”
In the middle of nowhere overlooking a beautiful rocky river which you could listen to as you went to sleep. Staff were friendly and sitting eating breakfast looking over river was perfect. Loved the bathroom and bed and pillows very comfy.

Very good”
The place is gorgeous and it's lovely to get away from a busy town and relax here. The very negative part about this place was the staff. They were not helpful at all and when we asked them questions I felt as though we were a burden on them. It's really too bad because it's a beautiful setting and it could be a very special place but it was ruined for us because of the guy at the front desk.

Beautiful location”
Like everyone here has said, it's a beautiful location by the river. You can hear the running water and canals and it is very peaceful and serene. I stayed in a basic fan only bungalow, closest to the river. There is another hidden room closer to the river beneath the pool area that is very nice and better value for your money. The staff is fine, and there is room for improvement. They do not make your room up everyday or provide any extras except for a small bar of soap. The small warung on the the property has a decent menu. I had the nasi campur, which was about average in quality. Overall, pretty good and the location is fantastic, with the only drawback being that it is far from the small city center.

It's a bugs life ”
The check in process was the most unusual and awkward I have ever had. They seemed angry we had booked with Agoda and it seemed we hadn't got a room. After 5 mins of silence we were so confused we asked to go to our room as they had just left us- very odd and wasn't a great start. The room is as in the pictures but they don't show the open to the elements sections I.e. Massive Holes in the walls and roofs so bugs and geckos were in the room. The setting is glorious- overlooking a river which is beautiful. Not much to do here except explore the beauty which we loved. The staffs English was very limited so communication was difficult. The room was never serviced as said it would be in the description. The breakfast was bad the evening meals were great! Stay if you don't mind bugs and enjoy beautiful secluded areas.
