Fantastic hotel would stay again”
It was the first time we had stayed at this hotel. We loved it so much we came back and stayed at it again later in our trip. The staff were very friendly and would do anything and everything for you, they even taught us how to make the decorations that they hung in their restaurant during their live music that they have a couple of times a week for their diners. We had breakfast included in our package which we had three choices Continental, American or Balinese. We didn't go hungry! The hotel even offers pool side service which we ordered a couple of times which is delivered to your pool lounge with a smile. The rooms were massive and very clean they are serviced daily with clean sheets and towels provided. The room had a balcony that over looked the pool. The bathroom was huge with two showers. The hotel is within walking distance to the beach a minute walk if that. Its also close to the beach markets and the other little stalls along the road side are great to have a look through for that special little souviner. So if you and your family are looking for a clean, friendly quiet Hotel to stay in whilst on holidays in Sanur Bali then we would recommened Tamukami Hotel. Were looking forward to staying again real soon.

Lovely stay at Tamukami Hotel, Sanur”
The Tamukami Hotel is a small boutique hotel located at heart of Sanur. The hotel is quiet and well maintained. Very close to the beach, shops and eating places. Breakfast is good despite limited choices. My only disappointment with Tamukami Hotel was the room 405 that we stayed for the first night which was extremely hot during the night as it was the last unit that facing the west. We were sweating during our sleep, but at last after complaint to the front desk at midnight we were moved to room 408. We would choose to stay at Tamukami Hotel again when we go back to Sanur.

Best Part of Sanur was staying at Tamukami”
We stayed at Tamukami for 5 nights and we were happy with our stay here. Boutique style hotel in the middle of Sanur. Breakfast was plentiful and the pool area superb. Lovely to laze the afternoon away. We didn't go to the beach (mainly due to the persistant vendors and the fact that, let's face it, the beach isn't that great...but we are spoilt as we are from Australia and normally go to Phuket) but prefered to swim in the pool at Tamukami. This made our holiday very relaxing. Our room was huge and comfortable. The only gripe I would have is that the bed (which is HUGE) is a tad hard for our tastes (as are most beds in SE Asia), but as it was only 5 nights we were able to get by....they should probably provide 4 pillows as standard instead of the 2 provided. Our bungalow suite was probably the quietest room we have ever stayed in.

A great place to stay”
We really enjoyed our stay at Tamukami. The owners are Belgian and as the name suggests, we felt like their guests when we swam in the pool and had a chat, were greeted in the morning at breakfast and saw them dining in the restaurant. Nothing was ever too much trouble for the staff, to the point where they took the initiative to call our next accommodation place to collect us and when told they had no pick up service they took us to the new hotel themselves! Everything was very well maintained in the hotel, perhaps because the owners live on the premises and they see what we see. We have been to Bali many times and are often unable to stay at the same hotel twice because they are not well maintained and look run down after a couple of years. Tamukami is well located on Jl. Tamblingan since it is walking distance to some good quality restaurants and cafe's, close to internet access and only a short walk to the beach. This hotel is suitable for all age groups, particularly for those 40+ who like to have a chat with the guests in a peaceful environment and nice surroundings.

A hidden gem”
Having been to Sanur many times this was my first in The Tamukami Hotel. My sister,brother in law and I have found an absolute gem. Location was fantastic,the driveway is situated on the main road however the hotel is located approx 100metres in. Which gives one a feeling of serenity,away from the hustle and bustle of busy Sanur. The restaurant is situated next to the pool,we enjoyed a very adequate American breakfast daily. My room was large, comfortable and the bathroom was suitable for the disabled.

a lovely home away from home”
our 5 days 4 nights stay in Bali was made even more wonderful because we are staying at Tamukami hotel. This is a place where you'll feel really at home because the rooms are so big, the hotel staff are so hospitable, the ambiance is really relaxing since the hotel are surrounded by beautiful gardens with chirping birds, the pool is also big & it's temperature is always warm which is perfect for a dip anytime. We felt special too because we we're given a free wedding anniversary cake on our 1st breakfast together with all the staff singing. That indeed was a great feeling. The hotel owner is also friendly & nice.

beautiful hotel with wonderful service & surrounds”
tamukami was wonderful from the start- 2 staff members met us at about midnight with chilled cocktails and escorted us to our room past the breathtakingly beautiful pool. the air con was much appreciated on this first night. room was fine- bathroom in particular was large and well-appointed. we had breakfast there as it was part of the deal- large and plenty of choice. also expresso available on request! we had some other meals and snacks which were tasty overall. tamukami is a great base for any type of holiday in bali really- the staff were as genuine and friendly as they could be, and loaded with local knowledge, which was great.

Tamukami Hotel Sanur”
We stayed at the Tamukami from 22 to 26 Sept 2008. The hotel isn't on the beach its across the road but it takes less than 5 minutes to get there. From the moment we arrived the staff were great. The hotel is owned by a Belgian couple who have been in Sanur for 20 years. There's a real family feel about the place with Mr and Mrs de Groot being around constantly and they've managed to achieve a real family feel to the place combined with excellent service. The pool area is beautiful and the pool itself quite large given that the hotel is fairly small. We had a superior room which was spacious, really nice with a veranda and sparkling clean. The restaurant was really good with excellent choice and service of a high standard. Not only do people staying in the hotel dine there at night but people from outside come in too which is testament to its reputation. All in all we thought it was a lovely place and would go there again without hesitation.

Comfy beds, great breakfast and staff - friendly.”
would recommend the tamukami hotel. stayed there only on our first night in bali. room smelt a little musty on arrival but was not a problem once we got the air con going. beds were very comfy and clean they put an extra bed in our room for our daughter and it too was very comfy. bathroom had 2 showers - 1 big walk-in shower and 1 over the bath, it had shampoo/conditioner, shower gel & shower cap etc. the breakfast was quite big, having choice of a few different combinations off the menu for an american breakfast with fruit platter for starters with freshly squeezed juice. hot meal of your choice and finishing with a danish pastry etc plus tea or coffee.

A little piece of paradise”
the tamukami is a well designed little hotel across the road from the beach in sanur. it is well back from the street offering peace and quiet. all the rooms centre around the pool with a nice restaurant beside it. the food and service were both exceptional and the owner came around to ensure everything was to our satisfaction. i would highly recommend this hotel for anyone coming for the quiet side of bali.

Best in this Sanur location”
Everything about this beautifully architected and constructed venue says Bali'. The staff are exceptionally gracious, the gardens and pool are beautifully maintained. The rooms are very spacious and accommodating for both the leisure and business traveler. The only downside is the pedestrian food...modest menu, nice staff, good service, but the food is just not what one would expect from a kitchen in Bali. I find it rather bland and lacking character. However, that said, there are several good restaurants with more impressive variety and western, eastern and Balinese cuisine offered. The beach walk of several kilometers is a 5 minute walk from Tamukami and there are several restaurants/pubs along the walkway they serve very good food. This was my second stay at Tamukami, and that in itself, I think, speaks volumes about my affection for this place and their hospitality.

The Tamukami Hotel was like being in Paradise.”
I would recommend Tamukami to anyone we were there for the Nepyi and were catered for wonderfully. It is such a beautiful setting with the authentic taste of Bali. The Menu is extensive and cateres to a variety of tastes. Myself and my friend were made to feel like family. It is in an ideal part of Sanur easy walking to shops and loads of other resturanst. Not that you need to eat elsewhere as Alice's Resturant has quite an extensive menu and the food is just fantastic coud not fault one thing. You can understand why they have such a great repeat business happening. I cannot wait to go back there.

Peaceful and quiet”
Our Superior room was very spacious with a huge bathroom -incl separate tub- and a highpressure hot shower. We didn't have any view onto the pool since we were tucked away at the very back of the property (very quiet). They would have moved us, but since they were fully booked it would have been quite an excercise in moving us around a few times. But they would have organised it for us. The staff was always very friendly and helpful, anything we needed was immediately taken care off. From the 4 hotels we stayed at in Bali the breakfast at the Tamukami was the most filling and the best. The rooms are rather tightly packed around the pool with tropical plants everywhere. It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the beach (the beachfront hotel opposite doesn't allow access to the beach for the other hotels, and nobody thought of leaving a little access path for locals and alike). The beach in Sanur is beautiful and wide, with lots of restaurants alongside. The constant offers for massages, taxis and come see my stall are getting on your nervs pretty quickly.

Beautiful hotel, wonderful service”
We stayed 3 nights and highly recommend the Tamukami. It's a small hotel set in from the busy road. The grounds are quiet, peaceful, and beautifully kept. The wonderful staff are very friendly and helpful. They were kind enough to prepare an early (0630) breakfast for us before our flight out! We were very pleased with our very large 2nd floor room. In fact, the photos of the rooms, hotel, and restaurant do not do the Tamukami justice. It was much nicer than we expected.

Blissful Peace & Serenity in Sanur”
My husband and I recently spent 3 nights at the Tamukami in a poolside bungalow. We booked based on reviews here and were more than pleasantly surprised. The hotel is set right back from the busy street outside and extremely quiet once you venture in from the street. The bungalow was very big with armchairs, table, TV, desk & a huge bed which is two king singles pushed together, not ideal but comfy enough. It could have done with more than the two pillows provided but this wasn't really an issue. Very clean too, huge bathroom. Separate dressing area with handbasin & plenty of wardrobe space. There was a gorgeous little patio right outside with a pair of comfy wicker chairs and table and only a few steps into the pool. We always managed to get a sunbed but mostly sat on our patio reading and using our iPads. Wifi was excellent. Breakfast was a choice of American, English or continental. Loved my omelette cooked to perfection. Staff are friendly and discreet. Eugene, the owner, introduced himself to us on day one then kept to himself. He seemed like a lovely man. Clientele appeared to be mostly Europeans and older Australians. The pool is quite deep at both ends with the middle coming almost up to my shoulders (I'm 5.2") so it isn't suitable for small children, in fact the hotel is a real getaway for adults and kids would probably find it boring. I would definitely recommend the Tamukami for a peaceful holiday with lots of cafes just outside and the beach a walk thru the grounds of the hotel across the road. Great value for money.

We stayed at Tamukami for 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed out time there. It was situated off the main street in Sanur which ensured a quiet and peaceful time. The staff were wonderful and made us feel very much at home. The gardens and pool area were immacualte and the food was fantastic. We will definitely be returning when next in Bali

Tamukami, calm oasis and great value”
The Tamukami was a really relaxing oasis in the midst of Sanur's hectic traffic and touts. The pool and surrounding gardens are quite lovely, and quite a good size for a small boutique hotel. The restaurant was quite nice, and the service was extremely friendly and thoughtful. The only small gripe was that it is in a section of Sanur that is a bit removed from the best restaurants and the best stretches of beaches. But you can ignore the constant touts by the entrance and grab a bemo for 5K IDR to take you anywhere in Sanur you want to go. The place is fair value at double the rates it's going for on Agoda.

we stayed here for four nights and would have stayed for a fifth except that sanur was a little quiet for us. that's no reflection on tamukami or their staff. the hotel was great and the staff amazing. the bed in our room was huge, it was so big it was almost like sleeping alone. overall i would be more than happy to stay here again.

fabulous oasis”
we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. staff were very friendly and helpful. Tamukami Hotel is set back off the main street in Sanur so was very quiet. Breakfast was filling but if you don't like what is on offer there are plenty of places where you can go.
