5-10 minutes walk from Hakata Station”
Love staying here with friendly and helpful hotel receptionist. There's Sukiya and Family Mart right opposite the hotel. They don't provide water bottle but there's a kettle you can easily boil for drinking in the room. The only cons I can think of is the mattress, not the soft kind and I can't sleep on my side. Other than that, the room and toilet is spacious compared to most hotel in Japan. Would stay here again when I visit Hakata!

Good location”
Located in good location. Just 5 mins walk from hakata station. Easy access to both subway and jr. Take a taxi from airport about 1500 yen only, good for family with a child or senior. We could leave our luggages at the hotel and come back at check-in time. Besides, we had two periods booking and we could leave the luggages at the hotel during that. (I didnt expect for this before so it made me impressed) Anyway, the bed is too hard!

My 4th time staying in Sutton and everything was very good. I didn't give 5 stars for the facilities because a 3-star hotel should not and would not has the facilities of a 5-star hotel. Would stay again.

Location is decent, room is decent/spacious, but staff has horrible attitude”
I've never left a bad review, but I feel that I should leave this review so that no other travelers would have to encounter the same situation we encountered. So what happened was, we booked a Double room with a request of 2 beds (twin beds), and after booking, we did not receive any response from Agoda or the hotel, so we assumed everything was ok. However, once we got to the hotel, and tried to check in, they just said that we have to add 3000 yen to get the room with 2 beds. They explained that we booked the "double room" which only has a double bed, and not possible to get 2 beds, but I explained to them that we had booked the room with request on Agoda for 2 beds. I do understand that sometimes the hotel won't always have that option, but usually when we booked with twin beds as request, they'd at least let us know if that option is available, however this hotel didn't respond at all for weeks, and just kind of forced us to upgrade our room once we arrived.

Very convenient”
The location of the hotel is near Hakata Station, a good 10-15mins walk, depending if you have luggage or not. It is also near lots of convenience stores and restaurants, and is about a 10min walk to Canal City. Just outside the hotel is a City Bus stop, you can ride this bus to go around the city or just to save you the walk with your luggage from the hotel to Hakata Station. The room was just right for a couple. We had two big luggages and we were able to open both luggages with just enough space to walk around. The bathroom was just the right size, not cramped. Only downside was that our room only had two sockets for charging our gadgets. Good thing I brought my own power cord. They also received a packaged that arrived for me before we checked in, and promptly gave the package. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall, I recommend this hotel. It is very convenient. We had a good night's sleep after a long day of walking around.

Great hotel near Hakata subway station”
I had stayed at Sutton for 2 days in a row. The bed was really cozy and the restroom was really clean. Because The hotel is 1 bus stop distance away from Hakata station, if you have SanQ pass, i would recommend to take a bus !! The bus stop is infront of hotel lobby. Good hotel~

Convenient location ”
Right in front of the hotel has bus stop to access to the international terminal airport which takes only 20 minutes. Of course there are buses to somewhere else too. JR Hakata City can be reached by walking distance. I choose Sutton because I self drive during the journey and Nippon rent a car is just right beside the hotel. Convenient for me to pick up and drop the car. You may need to buy mineral water or cook water yourself as the hotel doesn’t provide any.

Good hotel with good service”
the hotel was in a good location. it was about 5-10 min walk from the hakata station or the canal city shopping center. the hotel was easy to get to on the 100yen loop bus. we would recommend this hotel for travelers with children. the rooms were decent size for japanese standards and were very clean. we actually let our kids walk around barefoot in the room. the japanese style breakfast was good as well. they changed a few items every morning.

Location is convenient, 5mins away from Hakata Station, Family Mart is just across the road and there is a bus stop right in front of the hotel routing to Fukuoka airport. Rooms are slightly larger than usual Japan Hotel rooms and room is very clean!

The hotel location is just 5mins walking distance from Hakata station which is very convenient wherever you go. Many restaurants to eat at the vicinity, nearby supermarket. Room is not too small, clean. Will definitely stay again on my next Fukuoka visit.

Not the nearest hotel from Hakata station but great value for money”
This hotel is not the nearest hotel of the opposite one from Hakata station but it is within walking distance ( approx 500 metres) . If you get really good deal, i think it is really worth to stay here. There is an airport bus stop in front of the hotel which is very convenient on the way back home. The hotel is old but well-maintained and the staffs know how to do their job very well.

Stayed here trice, 2 for family and 1 with my wife. A very neat hotel with courteous staff. Reception has english speaking staff which makes request easy but if you do have a problem, use a translation App. Very near to Hakata Hakata Station and fine eateries including Canal City Mall.

Less than 10 minutes walk from JR Hakata station and the Hakata bus station. There is also a bus stop in front of the hotel and lots of convenience stores and fast food nearby. A few minutes walk to some interesting shrines and temples, and about 20-30 mins walk to Canal City and the yatai stalls. They ask the guests to leave the key in the reception if going out.

nice hotel walking distance to Hakata Station. lots of convenience stores nearby. there's even a Sukiya branch across the street.they have yummy gyudon. local buses stop in front of the hotel. we availed the room with breakfast and the variety never changed in our 3-day stay, but we liked the food. we stayed mid April, so there was no problem with the air conditioning. weather is still cool. we left our luggage after check - out, no fees paid. they have english speaking receptionist. i saw lots of local tourists. bed and pillow were hard, if not used to it, then it will be uncomfortable.
