The Hotel was fantastic, very grand and a few minutes' taxi ride from the train station. We stayed in the hotel from 01/11/2019 to 03/11/2019. I was given a room on the 14th floor, our friends had an issue with their room which the staff were more than happy to accommodate a move. Netflix on the Smart TVs within the room was a nice touch (you will need your own login). Breakfast was excellent with various Vietnamese options as well as the continental break. We arranged an excursion via the hotel to T`ien Son Caves, this was seamless and around 800VND for the day trip. Our train transfer was after our check out time on the 03/11/2019, the hotel were happy for us to continue to use the hotel's facilities and look after our luggage until we departed later that evening. I would definitely use the hotel again when I return to Dong Hoi.

I stayed at this hotel for one night on transit backhome from Da Nang. Hotel gained my choice as i once stayed at Muong Thanh Ha Tinh hotel on the way to Danang. Muong Thanh hotel is one of the best local hotel brand amongst their class with affordable price, friend staff and good condition of room. You always feel worth at each dong you spend at this hotel. One minus thing is breakfast with localized foods which may not match all tastes, anyway you rarely see an empty plate on food rack. Muong Thanh Quang Binh located at perfect point right front of Nhat Le beach where you always experience glorious scene of sunrise every morning. And will enjoy the taste of fresh seafood by night just few steps from hotel door. The hotel wins my choice.

Staff here are friendly & helpful. Room service was quick. Good breakfast & bar in foyer. Hotel clean & spacious. The beach across the road could be really good if someone cleaned it up. Dong Hoi doesn't seem like it's got a hub? Unbelievable how they have rebuilt the city after being totally destroyed by the war. Stayed here because of Phong Nha national park, which was amazing!

nice beach, clean swimming pool, clean room. Generally, everything is clean but sometimes there are some butterflies. simple breakfast. This is on contruction, therefore, it is noisy - sometimes - around the swimming pool. The location is quite good for family relaxation. it is about 6kms far from the airport and the centre of Dong Hoi city (the distance written on Agoda is not exact). Nice staff.

This hotel is just opened in June, so the villa still under construction though, the hotel room is very nice. The price is very reasonable. The pool is big and have some kids playground next to the pool. Even they have shower booth on the corner of the pool. That is very convenient and family friendly. So that my daughter could enjoy the playground with me and my son could also enjoy swimming at the same place. The staffs are very friendly and the view from the restaurant (8F) is also nice. Just one thing that this place, Quang Binh, is not so many places to see. There is a beach and a national park. So if you just stay at a hotel and enjoying the beach, pool, and sightseeing phong nha ke bang national park......very recommended. I think the best hotel in this town.

We went Dong Hoi to travel to the Nha Phrang National Park and had a spare day which was spent mostly hanging around as we could find nothing in Dong Hoi of interest. The hotel seems to be aimed at business rather than tourists. The staff tried tobe helpful. We arrived at 8pm on the train from Hanoi and fiund it hard to find anywhere to eat. The hotel itself was satisfactory and clean.

Sun Spa Resort was more than I expected. The location was near the center of the city and it was so convenient. The scenery here was fantastic. The private beach was so beautiful and blue water. The staff was super friendly and hospitable. We loved swimming pools which were so big next to the beach. Services were good. Food served at restaurant was delicious and diverse. Plus, I and my wife really enjoyed Spa here. The staff was very skillful. Summing Up, I would go back to Quang Binh just to stay at this resort again. It's definately money worth spent.

The Riverside Hotel, Dong Hoi is a relatively new hotel built in French Colonial Style, which seems a little out of place with its surroundings, but it is very clean, spacious and the staff extremely helpful and attentive. We only stayed one night in Dong Hoi and found the hotel central enough for us to walk most places for a look around this part of the city. The beach nearby is not very inviting and at the time of our visit (Late October) was quite deserted. The Riverside Hotel is good value for money. My only disappointment was the breakfast.. We had to leave early to catch a train to Da Nang and went to the breakfast buffet at 6:15 (It opens at 6:00) and found that the food was still being setup and not all ready. The coffee was also not good; unusual in Vietnam.

This is a wonderful, basic hotel in Dong Hoi. Spartan, but has everything you need for the price. If you need fancy artwork or a separate dining room, this isn't for you. But it suited me fine and judging by other comments many other people too. The front desk is helpful and, while they don't all speak good English, they will refer you to a person who does. The manager is a beautiful lady who speaks great English and is super helpful in every way. All the staff were great! We booked a private driver to take us to the caves - easy peasy - and avoided the crowded 'set tour' buses (we are 3 very tall travelers). We don't like being herded through sights and just took our own time in the caves. It's cost effective, even if you are traveling alone. The caves are well worth the trip to Dong Hoi. Incredible, and set up well for tourists. There is no need to try to stay at the caves, it's a 1 - 1.5 hour drive from Dong Hoi. We extended our hotel stay becasue it was so easy to be based in the Nam Long Plus hotel. I would highly recommend just booking the car and driver they have at call. We also booked the car and driver to take us to Danang (5 hours and more comfortable than a bus or train).

My solotrip was amazing with my stay in CKC Thien Duong Hotel. My room was river view and it was totally very nice. Just 1 thing for your consideration, there were only 2 choices for your breakfast (noddles or eggs & bread) but for it's not a big deal because I really enjoyed the new built room with nice view, good facilities and friendly & helpful staffs. Thank you for having me and be one of my best memories in Quang Binh.

Overall a great stay where we were very well looked after - would recommend. We stayed here for 2 nights as part of our honeymoon in Vietnam. Our plane landed at 17:35 in Dong Hoi and we were collected by the owner, Ha. He had a very nice, comfortable car and was very friendly and chatty. The drive took around an hour and we were then shown into our bungalow. The bungalows have been built in the last year so are very modern, clean and tidy, with good air con and a broadband router for each bungalow so the signal is fantastic. We arrived late at night and were out for a tour the whole next day, so we didn't get to see too much of the surroundings. However what we did see was lovely. It is right on the riverside and you can sit and eat with lovely views. We would recommend a riverside view bungalow if you are staying for any length of time as the morning views would be lovely. This was without a doubt the most charming and surprising experience I had an all of Vietnam. Aside from being quiet and beautiful amazing family who operate the sweet spot offered to take me fishing, allowed me to cut rice in the rice fields, and then invited me to play volleyball with the town league. They provide breakfast slash coffee and also have a menu if you need to order dinner here. There's a swimming pool andthe most comfortable beds you will find in Vietnam.. we think about traveling in Vietnam this location is what everyone I think so. I linked in my stay by a day because of how wonderful and experience it was.

My partner and I, are currently traveling south east Asia and have to say, without a doubt, this is the best place we have stayed in so far. The place itself is set in a beautiful location, just outside of the main town area, but it was so easy to get to with the free bikes they offer but also my walking. The staff were so helpful, not only about the area but helping us find local bus timetables or tours - we honestly felt like one of the family. The hotel itself is very clean with great facilities. We are over the moon with this accommodation and if we could, we would of stayed longer.

We stayed in four of the villas and they were beautiful. The rooms were new, huge with great bathroom. There are free wifi, a restaurant, bar, pool, and billiards table; a big lake with kayaks to keep you entertained. The restaurant has many food choices and they are delicious and reasonable . We did have lunches and dinners during the vacation here because its a bit far from towns ! Staff at front desk are extremely friendly, helpful and responsive. After checking out and on the way back to Dong Hoi city, we realized that we forgot 2 luggages besides reception desk and we called the receptionist. 2 hours later, they brought our luggages to the bus station for us. Many thanks!!!

I booked a stay for 2 nights at Nam Long Hotel in Dong Hoi. I really enjoyed my time there and was very impressed with the clean room given to me. The girls at the front desk were very nice and friendly. The hotel staff also provided me with bicycles to get around town free of charge. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay in Dong Hoi. - Chris

i really liked this hotel. we had been staying about an hour from dong hoi near the cave and park and we just rented it for the day since our train was not until 11:30 at night. it was a really nice hotel. the rooms were big, it was very clean, good internet connection and a nice, hot shower. they also have a restaurant with an extensive menu, though we did not end up eating there so i cannot comment on the food.

The hotel room was great, but had a lot of wasted space (stayed in a king, but was mistakenly given a queen deluxe first, much better space and cheaper) staff on reception were friendly and spoke broken english, but the rest of the staff did not speak english at all. Buffet breakfast was adequate but not fantastic and the hotel is located no where near anything (although there is not a lot in Dong Hoi anyway!) Noce rooftop pool, and if you want to relax there, it's a nice place to do it.

We stayed at the sunshine hotel in order to see the caves in the national park. There's very little in Dong Hoi itself, and there is not really a centre to the town, it's just spread out along a few kilometers of main road. There is a pretty good beach a 20 minute walk from the hotel and there are a few vietnamese restaurants beside it. The owner is lovely and speaks very good english (a rarity in Dong Hoi) we hired a scooter from her for $10 (a little more expensive than other parts of vietnam, but it seems to be the going rate in Dong Hoi) and she provided a map and directions to the caves as well as giving some excellent tips on the best street food stalls in town. It's a perfectly acceptable budget hotel. Good size clean room, flat screen TV, clean bathroom with hot shower. I'd stay here again.

The whole resort was amazing. Our Sea view bungalow was so clean and comfortable with lovely views. The pool area was great and had it to ourselves most of the day but the beach was something else. Stunning and once again all to ourselves. The only small criticism is not much to do in the evening in Dong Hoi itself as not on the tourist map yet and very little English is spoken but that did not spoil our trip. Highly rated.

This place is the perfect hotel to stay at in Dong Hoi. I stayed here twice while in Dong Hoi between trips to Phong Nha. I was so happy to come back the second time. After spending the night in the jungle and trekking for a couple of days I needed something comfortable and Gemani Hotel was exactly that. The bed is huge, the AC is strong, and the staff is amazing. The people who work here go above and beyond for guest, especially Meo. She is so friendly and helpful. She even reminded me about my trip when I forgot and made sure I was able to get on the public bus that doesn't actually stop. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay Gemani! I'll be back some day for more cave exploring!

I stayed here for one night only, but the extraordinarily friendly staff and the atmosphere made it more than worth it. The food was good and reasonably priced, I'd even say cheap given the place we stayed. The rooms were clean and hygienic, you have all the equipment and stuff you might need at hand including AC, hair dryer, swimming pool etc. . I can only highly recommend the place if you plan to stay for a view days or even just one night like myself. Will definitely come again !

We got a great deal for just a short stay in this hotel. Its location are super convenient. Everything was in mint condition. Our bed was comfy, wc was super clean. Nothing to complain about facilities. They also offeredd some free beers and soft drinks in minibar fridge. I think this hotel is a small family business, so we have no expectations about service like other hotels. The inconvenience when we were checking out was frustrating. The owner wasn’t there so it took pretty long to check out . I don’t think younger staffs are well-trained or aware of our stay.

To be honest, the most pleasant surprise here is with about 15$ for a room enough for 4 people, you got Netflix and amazon video prime :D (besides air-conditional, hot water, wifi etc). The staff is quite nice and talkative, they can also guide you and offer related tours. Side note that the owner told us if you take night bus there, you might want to consider HƯNG THÀNH TRAVEL, CAMEL TRAVEL , QUEEN CAFE OPEN BUS since those buses go by the hotel directly. HOANG LONG or other night bus will lead you to Dong Hoi City, then you have to grab a taxi or take a bus to go back to Phong Nha.

While more expensive than most of the places we stayed at in Vietnam, Victory Road Villas is worth every cent. We enjoyed dinner overlooking the river, great recommendations and support with logistics, and even Netflix for evening entertainment. The dinner menu is Western/Continental food. It would be great if Victory Road Villas offered some Vietnamese cuisine as well (beyond the fried spring rolls). There's a sauna next to the pool which was most welcome after being out in the cool winter mist all day.

We really enjoyed our time there. We stayed 4 nights and wished we could have stayed longer. Although you are 8 kms from 'town' , there are regular daily shuttles which make it really convenient to get there or you can use one of their bikes for free or hire a scooter which they helped arranged. The staff were friendly and professional . They helped us organise tours, transportation, etc.. and recommended really good places to visit and eat. The view from the pool is stunning and really something special. The quiet setting was the perfect place to relax and unwind after the hustle-bustle of Hoi an. My wife and I were not sure where to go after and Guilliome (sp?) the manager gave us excellent recommendations which were off the regular tourist paths. He is doing a great job there with the staff as well as Uta, who was there the first couple of days. If you are looking for something different than the usual touristy trek, give Phong Nha farmstay a visit!

Service here was exceptional. Owners went above and beyond to make our stay fantastic. They helped book all of our tours, picked us up and dropped us off to the bus station for no extra costs and even made us some food for or long bus journey when leaving. The hotel is stunning and situated in a beautiful location along the river and only a 15 minute walk from the main shops. It is also the only hotel we saw that had a pool. Could not of asked for a better experience here and I would highly recommend if you are looking for somewhere to stay in Phong Nha you will be unlikely to find a better place to stay
