Just Wow”
I dont know who designed this place, but hats off to that guy. Its just amazing. You have a feeling that you stay at a luxurious jungle bungalow. Every little thing there is custom designed and i never seen something like this before. Got an inspiration for my house as well. The view is amazing, so good to chill on the balcony, you dont want to go to bed and just stay outside and enjoy the view over harbor. It is beautiful. Location is not a problem at all, yes you have to walk upstairs for a bit, but its not that terrible as few guest described it, unless you are 60years old or older. Main attractions of the city are 10minutes walking from hotel. Staff is friendly and helpful, hot water all the time, no pressure problem. The people in the town are superfriendly, always saying hallo and asking how are we doing, even if they barely can speak english. No attractions in the city, but you can always go for a snorkel trip or visit komodo national park to see some dragons. We had fun for 4 days there and will definately come back as there is lots of things to explore on flores or around it. 3 mosques around are really annoying, especially when on some days of the week they sing superloud around 4 am for half an hour. And from the hill, you can hear them veeery well, after first night we got used to it, but would be nice from government to make them quieter, i understand it is religion and i respect it, and ive been to few muslim countries before, but nowhere it was as loud as at Labuan Bajo. Guess it is go for kids as well when the school starts at 7... whatever, alltogether we liked it alot. Wifi definately needs an improvement as it is close to zero.

Lovely little gem propped up on a hill”
We loved our stay in our little Balinese style villa! Our favourites being the view, decor, comfort of the room and space and good friendly service from the staff. We stayed one night and then went on a tour for a few days and decided to return here. We spent hours on the balcony just relaxing and taking in the view. The only cons are the water pressure and limited breakfast. We’ve noted however that water shortage and pressure seem to be an issue in Labuan Bajo so I’m not sure that the hotel can do anything about that. Breakfast could be improved and fresh milk would be good to offer. Overall, our stay was fantastic and have already recommended to our friends traveling there in the future. We had the chance to meet the owner who is a lovely person and was very helpful. I can’t wait to come back here! Thanks for everything!

Great stay and what a view!”
We loved our 2 nights here at the end of our Flores trip - yes you can hear the mosques, but we felt this only added to the atmosphere and experience for us. I would thoroughly recommend it as a place to stay either before or after your boat trip. It is a bit out of town, but the view of Labuan Bajo from the balconies is well worth it

It was so great!!”
+ The view is amazing, but Labuan bajo is kinda noisy now because all the construction in the city +The place is so beautiful, so so so good, they even had a pool!! +The room has a refrigerator which kinda nice, and there is heater for showering. (-) if you dont bring any vehicle with you, distance to the city will be a bit far to walk

Mixed Thoughts”
I reserved at this place as the first hotel has been fully-booked after our live-on-board trip. Location, amazing view, worth all the stairs. It is further away from the main street where the food are but if you're up for an adventure closer to this place are Padang food spots. About 10 minute walk to the pier which is alright but it does feel further as generally the hotels cluster near the pier. Staff Performance, I cannot comment much on the language barrier as I've noted that foreign tourists can have difficulty getting a straight answer from them (assuming staff's English is not the best), I speak the local language so had no issue but just made sure there were no miscommunication but asking questions with yes/no answer. Food & dining, this is the unfortunate bit as with all the stairs and being up the hill it'd be easier to have dinner but you have to go to Casa Selini (which is another hotel by the same owner near the pier), you can get it delivered by the staff but it just means you have to order from the kitchen as no phone. Hotel Condition is generally looked after. When I arrived, the staff showed me that the toilet had issue so the lid to the tank had to be taken off (and left off) to be flushed, no big deal. It does have a quaint feel to it so a little dust here and there can be overlooked. Room Comfort, well decorated and aircon was enough to keep us in. The view overlooking the town was also enough to makeup for the lack of TV. Do request for higher unit as the bathroom is open air and as we passed one of the units in the middle I saw a women's behind in her shower, so if you're shy - higher unit! Unusual thing is, we found a trap door without lock in our unit that we couldn't open as no handle however upon inspection the next day the entry is from downstairs that is not locked at all. We still felt safe but moved a chair on it just in case. All in all, would recommend if you are okay with the food arrangements and all the stairs.

Cute little place with great view and balcony”
Pros: adorable decor, amazing balcony with gorgeous view of the sea, nicely hidden off the main road Cons: breakfast needs improvement including real milk for coffee, the bathroom and shower could use some maintenance, and the price is very high. It is much nicer than some of the standard rooms we saw on the Main Street but it’s a bit expensive

Appalling Service ”
The service was the worst I've ever come across. We rarely needed the staff but whenever we did we would have to search all around the place (it's very hilly too) to find anybody. Often our room wouldnt be cleaned and we'd have to again find somebody to ask them to clean it. Overall, I would recommend the villa to anybody looking for a scenic and beautiful spot to view Labuan Bajo. However, the service was truly very poor and it was a constant battle to persuade the staff to do their job and to find them. The reception area is always empty and so is the restaurant. Hiring a scooter is a must because it is impossible to rely on the staff to be around to serve food and drink. It's also necessary to plan showers thirty minutes ahead because most of the time the water would dribble out cold for ten - fifteen minutes.

Beautiful rooms and view”
Only stayed 1 night..... Pleasant staff and helpful, nice rooms, superb view of Labuan Baju and the bay. Quiet and peaceful. Entrance to narrow and needs to be upgraded, slippery when wet. Breakfast was just okay.

Marvelous View”
It’s worth the trek up the hill for the phenomenal views of the harbor and surrounding islands. Amazing! . What the staff lack in skills they make up for in friendliness and an eagerness to help. We felt very welcome. The rooms are charming, the hotel just a 15 minute walk or 5 minute taxi into town and the views unbeatable!

Misrepresented itself. ”
Definitely great view with rustic charm. That's about it. The rooms and furnitures are rickety and unclean. The let down is also the service, which is run by teenagers with hardly any experience. We speak the language and even then it was hard to get through. Hire a motorbike if you ride. The hotel is far from the hub. Can't eat at the hotel the food is terrible. Better to go down to the eating place near the fish market. Great fresh food. The rooms were very basic, but lacked privacy in showers, the walls were bamboo slats that in some parts had wide gaps, and there was no roof. Anyone on the upper level on the hill can see u shower. Very dangerous steep path leading up to reception and steep stairs leading up to rooms. There is no tea, coffee making facilities in the room and definitely no complimentary water. If u stay here bring your own water stock, there is a fridge. Also bring ear plugs, every morning at 4am the three or four surrounding mosques compete in their call to prayers and often last for an hour. Loud is an understatement. Labuan Bajo is definitely an upcoming tourist destination and is still in development, understandable, however the hotel is very over priced for the non-service it offers. More suitable to backpackers at $20 a night.

Nice looking but beware”
I would not recommend staying there. They charge to call a driver/taxi for you. They charge ridiculous for every little thing. Want a coffee? How about a drive to the airport, through Selina on the Hill they practically cost the same. No really. 50k Rp for a second cup of coffee (nothing special mind you) with breakfast. There is little help onsite. Pack only a small backpack or carry on should you not take my advice and stay here. You'll have to hike, climb, and carry your bags yourself for some distance as the drop off area is bit far. Oh and the bungalow above ours overlooked right in our open air bathroom/shower. My wife caught some workers looking in on her. The bathroom floors were pretty moldy/grundgy too. Yes, I liked the rooms and view but every other aspect of the place turned us away from returning. The speakers for the call to prayer @ 4am must have been placed very nearby or even on the property because my gosh was it loud! Do your research there's better finds across town.

Beautifull houses for introverts.”
Rooms and the view are really beautiful and eco-friendly. BUT the was only one option to have food in restaurant - pre order... I don't know what I'm going to eat tonight, I don't want to eat somthing I won't. As the stuff said: we need to buy products first, so we need to know what are you going to eat... So we never used the restaurant. The "roof" (actually it was just a fabric ) in the bathroom was always leaking due to rains and when you are sitting on the toilet you always having a cool shower on your lower back and sholders. So.. no commets. The stuff almost don't speak inglish and it looks like they we said to sit here and smile to every guest. I would suggest the pwner to organise free ojek to the town. It will makes a chance of guest staying here and enjoy much higer.

Great view, funky place”
The outlook from the rooms is great and the rooms are idosyncratic in a nice way (if you like idiosyncratic). Large rooms nice balcony. Walking distance to restaurants. No beach access.

The Worst Hotel EVER”
The pictures look beautiful, and indeed, the view from the rooms are amazing, along with the interior decoration. However the execution was so bad, it really was a massive pimple on an otherwise lovely trip. My friend and i booked a room each, and checked in at about 5pm. The staff on duty were young and earnest but could not speak English at all. When they showed us to the rooms, they did not show us how to operate the doors. Yes, the main doors to each room are not conventional - and have to be locked from the inside using sticks, and from the outside with a lock. Of course after putting us in the rooms, the staff locked my friend and i in our rooms! After getting ready, we both had to figure out the doors. And in frustration, I just locked my valuables in my luggage and left the room open. I was not given a lock and key, as my room was above the reception desk. The room I was given, also only had one overhead white light. The bedside lamp did not have a plug, and when told about it, the staff said they would change it tomorrow - when i check out. As a result, many areas of the room were too dark to use without a torch. It really boggles the mind that this location was chosen for a hotel. While it does have a lovely view, there are three mosques in the area that start prayers, one after another, at approximately 3 in the morning. Because of the staggered timing, by the time they're done, it's an hour later. And of course it wakes the entire area up, which means the sound system store at the bottom of the hill also starts banging at about 6am. Then there was breakfast. After such a rough night, it would be nice to take comfort in some food. But my banana pancakes were burnt, and did not come with any of the sauces that was promised in the menu - if i remember correctly, there are about 3 options stated. Rubbery pancakes with burnt banana and no sauce. When I asked the staff about honey, they said it was finished. Then when i asked about having any sa

I would rate 2 stars to this hotel”
The hotel has a beautiful view facing the sea. The room interior is unique. And when we arrived and about to go in, we saw your staffs folding the towels that hanging on our balcony for our use. pls check if your staffs didn’t replace the new towels for the next visitors. We saw they did the same thing when they cleaned up the room next to us. They only hang the towels on the balcony without replacing new towels!!

Above average”
Unfortunately despite booking on Agoda a long time before. They double booked. As a result when we arrived from Ende in the evening they had no room for us. The owner was apologetic and did put us in an alternative hotel, paying the difference. However unimpressed with the fact that it happened in the first place

Needs a huge improvement”
unfortunately our stay wasn't very good. Despite the rooms being comfortable and new, there is a staffing and management issue. When we turned up, nobody helped us up the steep entrance, which is more of a rocky assault course. Nobody even knew we were turning up either, and despite being in an empty hotel we had to wait for a long time for our room to be ready. There is no wifi, the people who work there don't even know what wifi is. Our bathroom was overlooked by another villa, not ideal for showering. It is quite a distance away from the town centre, and they offered no help in trying to get us transportation either. Really disappointing overall. We checked out early and they didn't even ask us why we were leaving.
