The place is clean, the people are friendly, the facilities are confortable. What it makes the difference though it's María, the receptionist and manager of the place. She was always there for help when needed and she was able to communicate in many languages. She also gave accurate recommendations on where to go to discover Kyoto. Maybe a week or so. I was able to linger and enjoy myself. The only disappointing thing is the other Japanese guests. They talked until late at night and tried to communicate with me more than necessary. since they seem to be drinking alcohol every day. Some people may feel uncomfortable But that's the guesthouse, right?

It is near bus station, which Is really great when I find out most of attractions on Kyoto can be reached by bus. It was clean enough, there is a kitchen and a cafe shop at the first floor, where you can sit as long as you want.

Great Price, Friendly Staff, Sleeping Area Needs Work”
I can't really say my stay here the most enjoyable, but I would say it was adequate. While.most things were decent, the room with bunks that I stayed in was affected greatly but the sound of wind and banging sounds coming from the windows. It was rather discomforting in the middle of the night. I would want to recommend having this checked out and making sure the windows and other parts of the building are better maintained. If you're just looking for a place to lay your head for the night, this is a good option for a decent price. The other good thing about this hostel is that it's almost directly across the street from the hill that leads to Kiyomizudera and the shops nearby.

The lights”
You have to fix the lights on the upper level beds. Just put a cap on top of the lamps. If one person in the room turns their light on at night, it makes the whole room light. This should be a very quick and easy problem to fix.

Strategic location but ”
The water in sink area always leak. There isn't 1 time where the floor is dry. Not to mention some of the hairdryer are not usable. It will stop working while I'm in the middle of drying my hair.
