Nice place”
Pros: the place looks very good. The pool area, the dorms and the greenery are worth it. The comfy bed as well. Nice bathroom. Cons: choose a bed where air conditioning blows indirect otherwise your brain will freeze. Under beds is dirty. Backpacks had to be left in a locker without locking sistem outside of room so bring your own locker. Lots of moskithos outside. School next to the property, lots of screaming when kids play outside. No free water but you can buy. No food. Nothing around, you need a scooter.

Location and price are good. The only problem are the air condition and they dont provide towel. The pool is clean and enjoyable.

I stayed in female dorm and I understand it's low budget stay. I get it. But, no breakfast, no tower provided, and if you want a towel it will cost you 100,000 IDR, that is absurd. Also you're not allowed to bring your luggage in the room when they don't provide a proper lock to lock your stuff in. The swimming pool and shared are was okay. Location was a bit far from everything if you want to walk.

Messy and maintenance needed”
I didn't spend the night there because the place was really not reaching the basic standard of clean. It's cheap but need a serious reform to be up to date. However the staff was nice, friendly and helpful. The common area around the pool is a real advantage. If you're not very demanding about clean and equipment then it's a cheap option you may consider

A peaceful oasis”
Rumah Samba has been a great place to start our adventure…..a relaxing oasis amongst the frangipani trees and lush gardens. When I originally read some of the reviews for this place there were a couple of negative comments about a school close by and how it was noisy. We actually feel it’s a great asset to the property. It’s a junior school and it borders this property but is secluded behind a twelve foot wall that’s covered in greenery. Yes the children arrive about 7am but are gone by 1pm. The only sounds that emanate are the muted happy voices of Balinese children playing and laughing during their breaks….hardly what you would call noise. There’s no screaming or yelling…… maybe the occasional song sung in a classroom. It helps us feel more connected to the community rather than staying in one of the massive resorts and sharing every facility with a hundred or more other tourists. Each morning , just after sunrise, we are treated to a chorus of finches and other small birds singing in the large tree that overhangs our porch. It’s a really nice welcome to the day. The pool and shared sitting areas with table and day beds are perfect to contemplate or read.

Good location and lovely cool pool”
Location is little way out of Sanur central, but walkable. Would be quiet location except for current building work on new building in the complex. No cooking facilities provided, so eating out only option. Overall is lovely villa.

Shop around”
When we arrived at Rumah Samba nobody was welcoming. We arrived after check in (advertised 12pm) and the room was not ready until 2pm. Once we got into our room we almost left it immediately by falling through the floor (floor sinks in near the bed to the point that they almost broke when stepped on). We had mouse poop on our beds and our blankets smelled like mildew. There was facial hair around the bathroom sink and rocks around shower were green with moss. Air conditioner didn't blow cold air and we had a terrible sleep both nights. The dog that lives on the property barked from 2am-4am and none of the staff did anything about it. Location was far from anything of interest and so we caught Uber/Grab into town, making this place even more expensive. We have stayed in a lot more relaxing, friendlier places for much cheaper. The pool area was nice and the room had charm but not enough to make it worth the cost. Biggest thing for us was the lack of A/C.

Fabulous place ”
The dorm had 6 large beds. The bed was very comfortable.The outdoor shower was lovely. The pool and outside area was just amazing and well kept. So many different places to relax. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Next time I would love to stay in one of their rooms, which looked very comfortable with a lovely balcony. Highly recommend this place what ever your budget.. :)

Beauiful place”
Is located in a quiet street; 15 min walk to the beach and next to the road with the best and cheap warungs. I stayed in the shared room that was really comfortable with own fan, plugs and wardrobe. the common areas are great with many places where to chill. The pool and garden are beautiful. Everything was completely clean at all times. I definitely recommend to stay here

The staff are so friendly and helpful reasonably close to the beach maybe 15 min walk Pros- In the dorm the beds are king single with your own fan, power point and light there is a beautiful chill out area that look out over the pool and is relaxing. The pool is quite long and easy enough to do lengths in. Cons- There are a few friendly dogs around that bark during the night as dogs do. The dorm is situated right by the driveway and the area is busy at all times night and day.

Very well located and amazing pool area! The only suggestion that I could give is: free tea and coffee, at least. It's like wifi in these days, mandatory.

Mosquito madness”
Okay so there's nothing majorly wrong with this place. I only needed it so that I could get to the airport the next morning but there were a couple of things that I really have to pick you up on. One - the towels need replacing, like, now. They are grey and dry and horrible. Please just get rid of them it's disgusting. Two - I have been to ALOT of places in South East Asia. I have slept under the stars and in treehouses. I live on an island for god's sake. Never in all my days have I ever experienced so many mosquitoes. Nevermind that it's indoors, how the hell are they getting in?! You need to do something about this. I am not a mosquito magnet at all. I rarely get bitten much so I can't imagine what it would be like for someone else.

Sleepless night”
Grounds of this hotel island the pool was good. The bed cover was too heavy and hot. I got bitten to death by the mosquitos.
