My wife and I are VERY happy with everything about this hotel. The staff is truly amazing and goes out of their way to make you feel special and have a great time during your stay in Hoi An. 1. First, let me say that I contacted the hotel to help me surprise my wife with a beautifully decorated room, and they did an AMAZING JOB. I asked for small cake, flowers and decorations- but I got that and more! We were both super surprised. See some photos below. They glued around 60 heart-shaped balloons (red and white) to the ceiling. They had 2 sets of flowers, including 1 bouquet of red roses, a nice cake that said Happy Honeymoon. They also printed 5 photos of us, and hanged them on the frames in the room. The bathtub was also ready when we got it (hot water, ready to jump in), plus decorated with fresh flowers floating in the water. Amazing! The staff even helped us shoot the photos. 2. The breakfast buffet is really delicious, and we got so full we didn't have lunch two days in a row.

The Senvila Boutique Resort is really good place to stay for making good memories with families or friends in Hoi an!!! The Senvila Boutique Resort is so close to old town in Hoi an and you will have so nice service with an employees. Reception staff by Mr Robin, Ms Oanh, Mrs Ly, Ms Trang. They are very helpful and friendly and make us to feel like a home. If you ask them to where is good place to eat, shopping, sighting .... they will inform you. And Our flight time was so late So they let us to stay, spend time and they prepare car to send us to airport by free. That was so Great Service. I hope to come back here to stay the senvila boutique resort again. Thanks guys!!!!

I absolutely loved it at Muca Boutique Resort! I have only been gone one day, and I miss it terribly already. The place itself is beautiful, the staff is so friendly and personable, the pool is small but perfect with a view of the kanal. I could go on and on about how great it is, but here are three reasons it stood out as the best hotel experience ever: when there was miscommunication around my first room service order, they immediately reimbursed me for the wrong order (even though I had tried eating some of it), and they apologized profusely even when I personally didn't think it was such a big deal. On my last day, I met some of the other guests who were leaving the same day as me. One of the guests had some health issues, and even though check-out is at 12, the hotel let the guest stay in their room till 2pm when they were leaving, free of charge! When I arrived at my next hotel in Da Nang where I was staying after my time in Hoi An, the staff there told me that the Muca staff had called to let them know I was on my way. Again, showing that they care about their guests. The Muca staff were friendly and all tried remembering mine and other guests names and home country. I really can't recommend this place enough, I know I'm going back for sure!

A brand new small resort not too far from Hoi An old town. The front rooms with balconies over-looking the rice field and the front street. The rooms in the back with balconies over-looking the pool and garden. The rooms are spacious and beautiful done. Free bicycles are available for guests to use biking around town or into Hoi An Old Town. Bed was comfortable but pillows were way too thick for my taste. Nice place!

Our stay at Pho Hoi Riverside Resort was everything we wanted, the staff were friendly and helpful, our room had everything we needed but did wonder why no towel rails, bed was a bit hard but seems to be the norm in most places we have stayed in Vietnam (not a big deal ). We enjoyed the breakfasts but ate out the rest of the time as there were so many beautiful restaurants to try. Markets are handy but need to learn how to say "no thank you" as it can get a bit much when you just want to look. Loved the gardens and an amazing pool to come back too after a busy day out, was great to be able order food and drinks by the poolside. A fantastic place to stay, we definitely would stay here again. Not so busy in Hoi An, so were able to hire scooter which took us to Ancient Hoi An, Marble mountain, 2 places not to be missed.

We were met by the lovely staff and were booked in quickly and taken by buggy to our room. We had upgraded to the honeymoon suite and were delighted with the room and private pool. It is a lot more private than the other rooms with pools. We also looked straight out to the sea. This is a family owned business and whilst it isn't as fancy looking as its new neighbours, the charm of the place beats the others.you r not just a room number, they try to remember your name.r breakfast is a little cold but u can order fried or poach eggs (which r done just right) or an omlette. The main pool is beautiful and there is a bar to order cocktails. It is also a great place to be if u have kids as the rooms are huge as well as having a kids play ground. I think the thing that was most outstanding were the staff. From the cleaners to waiters to management, the friendly and polite manners were fantastic. Whilst a little was lost in translation, it is to be expected. Remember, English isn't a widely spoken language but it will get better. You can always download a trqnslator app, though we didn't use ours. The resort has a fantastic spa and we both had the foot massage and back and neck massage. The beds are quite hard so it works wonders. Again the staff were fantastic. Hoi An is a short taxi ride which costs around 100,000 Dong ($5). There is a shuttle but we were never ready on time as we were in holidays! It is great being away from the hustle and bustle of Old Town Hoi An and coming back to the sound of the waves and a buggy ride back to the room. Hoi An is reknowned for its tailors, and there are rows and rows of them. check the quality of the stitching and make sure you have enough time to get fitted. We both required 4 fittings at each tailor and it became a pain in the neck! I paid $40 for some beautiful boots, and had a stack for clothes made and the tailor organised a person to come with scales and boxed it up. We sent 15kg by boat to brisbane,it cost $53.

Staff here were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and quite nice. Good value if booking with discount. Provided breakfast was fairly average, but not too bad considering it was free. The hotel is just over the 2nd bridge, so is about 200m from the end of the main strip in Hoi An. As a side note Hoi An is a must do if you are in Vietnam- excellent food, history, shopping/ tailors, and nearby beach and ancient ruins.

My sister and I stayed here for 3 nights. The room was huge, super clean, and had an amazing view of the pool and river. We had a good size balcony with comfortable chairs and a little table. Breakfast was included and we always left full! The best part is the staff!! We call them our Hoi An family. Flower, first greeted us and took care of every little thing we needed and always with a bright smile and a sweet laugh. And Lily, was always a delight, inquiring about our plans to see if she could help with bookings or just help make suggestions . The hotel is just outside the center of town, which we preferred, and they provided us with bicycles free of charge everyday. A quick 10 minute bike ride and we were in the middle of everything. 20 min in the opposite direction, we were at the beach. We highly recommend this hotel. Be good to our Hoi An family! We miss you guys!!

We were so glad that we picked Hoi An Eco Lodge & Spa for our stay in Hoi An. It was absolutely perfect and the staff was so service-minded. It's a fairly new hotel and they're still building here and there but nothing that'll annoy you for sure. We stayed in the biggest room - the Club Suite - and if you wanna spoil yourself this is really nice, especially with the outdoor bathtub and the terrace with sun chairs for relaxing. We went to the spa the day after arrival and wasn't disappointed. My boyfriend had a 90 min deep tissue massage and I had the same as well as a 30-minute salt body scrub and a 30-minute aloe vera and honey body wrap. After finishing I was offered a cup of tea and a small snack. They had a promotion for 50% off for all treatments as they just opened recently - so very affordable. We borrowed the hotel bicycles for free and went to An Bang Beach for a full day - really nice ride and very easy to find. We didn't mind that the hotel wasn't located in the centre of Hoi An. We could've used the hotel's free shuttle buses that went to both An Bang Beach and Hoi An centre several times a day, but we forgot about it and went by cab instead. It was a short 10-minute drive and cost around 80-90.000 vdn. We had dinner at the hotel twice which was really good. No complaints at all. The breakfast was good as well with the possibility to have a freshly cooked omelette, scrambled eggs etc. The only recommendation would be to cover the fresh meats and fruit so the small flies can't access it as easily. Otherwise, everything was absolutely perfect and we will for sure recommend it to everyone staying in Hoi An.

We loved it here, so much so that our 2 night stay turned into 5 nights. Positioned slightly out of the heart of Hoi An we rented hotel bikes (£1 a day) every day and pedalled in to town and 2kms in the other direction to the beautiful beach. The roads are relativley quiet (compared to the rest of Vietnam). The hotel is lovely and quiet with a beautiful pool. The rooms are large and a good sized bathroom. Lots of people have complained at the lack of shower curtain but I loved the luxury of laying in the bath. Breakfast was ok, but we didn't really have a great breakfast anywhere in Vietnam, good if you want to go Vietnamese style. Fantastic food at all the resturants in Hoi An. The staff at Bamboo Village were lovely,all of them came out to wave us off in our taxi and gave us a little present each. Don't hesitate to stay here.

We stayed five nights. The drive to the resort will be 15-20 minutes from Hoi An. The road getting there was quite bumpy, our initial impressions being of concern. However, once arriving at the lobby, greeted by warm smiles, gracious "hello", our concerns diminished. The rooms are very clean and tidy. The grounds are centered around a lush courtyard and pool, beautiful green trees and landscaping. The riverview from the restaurant was excellent. Nice turn down service, with a nice touch of local bedtime stories for the kids. Pool table was a hit with our eight year old kids. Utilities and furnishings are excellent, with only minor complaint, the beds and pillows were a on the stiff side (western standards of course). Hot water very hot! Transportation to Hoi An by shuttle (free every two hours), taxi ($5USD). It your looking for a quite, remote hideaway, with access to Hoi An, this is it. Our kids enjoyed the pool, pool table and interactions with local staff. On the negative, only comments would be the bedding (on the hard side). Being in a remote village setting, be prepared to hear roosters beckoning in the early morning hours. Of course, nothing the hotel can do about it, but for city dwellers, this could be a new experience. Bikes are provided free. The remote location from the city, allowed our eight years old's to safely bike. Interesting, while bike riding within 10 minutes of the hotel, we happen upon a home offering cooking classes. A sign on the home "Sabirama" Cooking tours. We spent 1/2 day there, and perfect for the kids as well. Be sure and find this place! Overall, we would highly recommend a stay at Ancient House River. The value and experience is well worth extra time required to get there from Hoi An.

My family stayed in this resort from the 10th of January to 12th of January. We really had a great time thanks to the staff and the great facility. It is not close to the famous beaches, but the service and the programs were excellent. The overall service and programs were so good that we enjoyed the cooking class and coconut boat riding program. The programs were neatly organized and well customized. The staff and the chef in the resort hosted the programs, so the quality was definitely very high. It was rainy season, so we could not fully enjoy the swimming pool, but with other service and progrmams provided, my family fully enjoyed the stay in the resort. In addition, the food and breakfast was so satisfactory that we used the restorant several times. My wife still misses the Vietnamese chicken noodle. At first, I was a little bit hesistant because there were only a few reviews on this resort, but I am positive that I had a great time in Hoi An thanks to this resort.

We stayed here for 4 nights when we were in Hoi An. We absolutely loved Hoi An Silk Village - it has been the best hotel we have stayed in during our Asia trip so far. The service was over the top - the staff was incredibly friendly and went out of their way to help us out. They knew it was our anniversary and the first day provided a cake and flowers for us in our room. The rooms were new, clean, wonderfully decorated, and the bed and air conditioning were perfect. We also loved the shower. Having free bikes to ride to town and use during the day was great as well. They also have an awesome pool and a free shuttle to the beach and their own private area with chairs and towels for you. Lastly, the breakfast was delicious and offered a wide variety of options. Overall, everything about our stay here was positive - we would highly recommend it to anyone coming to Hoi An. High value for the cost of the hotel. Thank you Hoi An Silk Village for such a positive experience and for your incredible service! You all are doing a wonderful job.

Our family stayed in Hoi An Silk Marina Resort and Spa for 2 nights, premium suite river view. It's expensive but worths every penny. A nice clean room with one king bed, one sofa inside room and the another one in the wide balcony looks straight to an amazingly beautiful swimming pool with the peaceful Thu Bon river as a background. 3 free open bus to An Bang beach every day, free bicycles are available. About 500m away from Hoi An ancient town, suitable for a walk with children. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Thanks for their good advises and introductions, we had had delicious dishes around the town. The restaurant and the spa are also very good. It's surely that we will return in the next time we come to Hoi An.

There is much building activity along this stretch of the beach, do not let this put you off, it does not impact your stay. The rooms were sea facing but did not offer a sea view as advertised, especially those on the top floor that had totally enclosed balconies, would describe as drying areas. The staff were excellent, the breakfast delicious - they literally cannot do enough to ensure your stay is the best it can be. The Hotel provided free bikes, we cycled around the paddy fields, again the local people were genuinely pleased to see us. There is also a beach bar, no premium charged for drinks which are delivered with a smile. Resort is a £2-£3 taxi to Hoi An, well worth doing. Visit Vietnam now, a true gem, the region will look very different in 5 - 10 years, the resort is comfortable and would strongly recommend to all age groups, my only regret is I didn't stay longer.

we only stayed in hoi an for one night, but we wished we had stayed longer because the resort hotel alone was so nice that we feel we didn't get to enjoy it as much. for the little time we spent in the room, we really enjoyed it. we were shocked to find that there were two full bathrooms. we joked that we each had our own. the living area is a bit dull as the chairs are hard. it became more of a storage area. it was still nice to have that separation. the floors, balcony, bathrooms, and bed were all of good quality and very clean. we got to enjoy breakfast before taking off to hcmc. there was so much food that anyone would be happy. they even had a chef who made omelets and soup. we really liked having good food outdoors right by the garden and pool. the downsides are that it is a bit far from the beach. it was a 25 minute walk. the shuttle only runs a few times a day. the shuttle that goes to hoi an city center is a great option, just don't miss it because it only comes once an hour. we took the shuttle to the danang airport and it cost us $25. i'm sure a taxi would have been cheaper, but we were looking for convenience and wanted to avoid scams from taxis.

This was my second stay here at this beautiful river resort and obviously I would not have come back if I didn't enjoy my first. The first was in 2008. Even though Hoi An has grown tremendously since with many new hotels, the beauty and peacefulness were extremely important to me after long days of doing the tourist running around. I looked forward each day to return to my peaceful retreat by the the river. The manager Na was especially warm and greaful and took care of my every need. I loved having a little cottage like room to retreat to instead of the newer tall structures hotels which have been built since my first visit in 2008. The grounds are beuatifly kept and strolling back to the room is like a walk in a park. So it may sound like I was paid or I work there but honestly I just love the hotel and it's staff. It was quite a nice modern hotel, nice equipped, great room conditions & cleanliness. But then among numerous resorts in Hoi An, we decided to stay in the coastline area since our target is to enjoy the beach as well as bikini photo shooting. Apparently there was no "private beach" as stated, we went to the "hotel's beach" and there was like 100 local people was swimming, yelling, playing football and selling street food so there was nothing we could do, neither relax at the beach or do our shooting. I asked the staff and the answer was they doesnt own any beach area, it was just a shared place with the locals. Apart from that everything else was very good. But overall we did not reach our target for this vacation and the hotel itself named Beach Resort so it should have a beach i suppose. Anyway, it still depends on what you are looking for, if its not the beach, this one is a good choice.

we had a fantastic time staying at river beach resort. the location suited us perfectly as we love the beach. waking up to the beautiful view of the river was breathtaking, possibly one of the best views i have had from a hotel room. the beach is lovely and just a minute walk across the road from the hotel. they do have a private beach bar facility too which provides you with towels and beds on the beach. regular shuttle buses in to hoi an town was a great bonus, and we hopped on it every night to have dinner and also used it during the day a couple of times to go shopping when the weather wasn't the best. the service was excellent the staff were friendly and kindly helped me to rearrange my flights which i was finding difficult to do as i do not speak vietnamese! an excellent place for both couples and families. will definitely return next time i am in hoi an.

We found this hotel to be a great place to stay in hoi an . It is a reasonable distance into the city centre but after the hustle and bustle of the tourist centre the calm and tranquility of the resort style river frontage was a welcome relief . There are free shuttle buses to and from the centre so no great hardship in being a bit out of town. Staff were exceptional , going out of their way to upgrade our room and also providing a limousine service when we booked a driver to take us to ba na hills . Over all they were very attentive to whatever we required . The spa service was awesome. The rooms are. Rey spacious and extremely comfortable Highly recommend this hotel

This place is absolutely stunning. It was a nice & quiet change after visiting Hanoi for a few days and before heading on down to Ho Chi Minh. I was traveling with family and we had an amazing time. They have a shuttle that runs about 4-5 times per day taking you into Hoi An or a taxi is about $3 one way. Lynn at the front desk was an amazing host and helped us with everything we needed...booking tours, more water in the room, etc. She was awesome, and all of the staff were really. My only small disappointment was that this is across the street from the beach which I was really looking forward to having a little beach time during our busy vacation and this beach is damaged. it was all sandbags so we opted for a little pool time which was fabulous but still this doesn't have a nice private beach for lounging, you can access it by walking across the street but there's not a sandy beach to enjoy. All in all though the resort itself is amazing and I've never stayed anywhere like it! We l

La Siesta Hoi An Resort and Spa is conviently located, 10 min walk to ancient town (Restaurants, shopping, tailoring, cordwainer/shoemaker). Shuttle service also provided, 5 minutes to town, 20 min to private beach area at An Bang, good for lounging and swimming. Hotel grounds are very well kept. Two pools available, the one closer to reception is a natural salt water pool, two restaurants with different menu selections, a bar/lounge, gym, and spa. Our room was clean and comfortable, we had the jacuzzi tub on the balcony and two sun chairs overlooking the pool area. Staff were exceptional. They were polite, humble, and when minor things came up they were very apologetic and genuine in correcting any mistakes. The Royal Dinner held every Saturday night is a must. Dress up using traditional Royal attire and enjoy live band from Hue using traditional instruments. Minor grievances were typically related to breakfast order details and spa scheduling. We stayed for 7 nights and attempted to book a few times. The timings never worked out in our case and it was near impossible to schedule same day services at the spa. So be prepared to book in advance. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Siesta and would definitely recommend for anyone looking to be just outside ancient town.

It was great to stay at a resort after being in Saigon and in the Mekong at a homestay. The resort is lovely and in a great location. It is not in or near the old town, but there is a shuttle bus about four times a day. If you don't get the shuttle, the taxi fare should be about 100 000VND. From check-in, the staff were absolutely amazing. At no other resort in Vietnam, did we have so many people checking on us, really wanting to ensure that we were looked after. We got an upgrade to an ocean view room and it was very clean and comfortable. The restaurant staff are very friendly and accommodating, even when I asked for a special meal. The buffet breakfast has something for everyone. If you don't want to eat at the restaurant, there are quite a few outside the resort. We really liked Co Hong and even arranged a car to Da Nang from them. They are about 100m to the right of the resort as you come out of the driveway. Highly recommend Tropical beach Resort Hoi An.

Plenty of hotels are described as 'Luxury' but few actually make the mark: The Victoria does. The location is calm & quiet and the facilities are excellent. Be aware that you cannot really have a 'resort' or 'beach' hotel in Hoi An town itself (and it wouldn't have the 'calm' of the Victoria if you could). It has to be that short drive away, which is why the Victoria is where it is, along with all the other 'resort' hotels). Don't for one moment let that put you off, the location is great, it's a plus, the hotel operates a good (& free) shuttle bus to run you in and out of Hoi An. The rooms are like 'mini villas', spacious, well equipped, with good bathrooms and private terraces. It's really a 'resort' as it's all set in lawned gardens with fish ponds and palm trees, there's a beautiful 'infinity pool' looking out over the ocean, with a kiddies 'infinity pool' and plenty of loungers, sunshades and a poolside bar/snack bar (which does much more than snacks). A great place to sit looking over the ocean with a cocktail as evening falls . There's also a private beach (again with loungers and sunshades and staff to collect your drinks and food from the poolside bar. Plus there's a spa. The restaurant delivers delicious food (and excellent baguettes & patisserie) there's also a couple of bars to relax in, The hotel can arrange excursions etc., but my top tip is that they have a collection of vintage motorcycle & sidecar combinations (with drivers) that they will organise day trips (or short tours, or simply shuttles to Hoi An in). The day trips are fabulous and it's a great fun way to see this part of Vietnam, better than being in a car or bus but without the danger of being on a scooter. Frankly we wouldn't stay anywhere else in Hoi An (and we have before, but once you've found the Victoria you'll likely be a return guest). The staff are fabulous and know how to (and take pleasure in) delivering great service. This is not a 'budget hotel', you'll find cheape

After travelling around Vietnam and Thailand we finished our holiday in Hoi An and decided to stay at The Ancient House Resort. First impressions were fantastic as the receptionist was extremely helpful and welcoming. They were a bit slow at getting us to our rooms however we had just got off a long flight and were being a bit impatient. We were staying with 3 other couples and although we all paid roughly the same, some of the rooms were much better than the others so If there is an option of booking a slightly better room for only a couple of $ more then definitely do it! The upgrade will be well worth it! The garden and pool area was large and enjoyable to laze about in. After a couple of weeks of Asian food we fancied some simple western food like chips, burgers, pizzas etc and we decided to order some at the pool one day. Don’t do it! The food was dry, bland and a total waste of money. However the breakfast on offer in the morning is delicious and chefs were on hand to make omelettes, pancakes and crepes. For the money it was 100% worthwhile and although we got taxis around the area they were so cheap it wasn’t an issue.

Stayed for 3 days and 2 nights at Boutique Hoi An Resort. Airport Transfer: Upon arrival at Da Nang Train Station, we were received by staff and it was about 45mins drive to the hotel. Along the way, the staff shared with us some of the things to do in Hoi An. For our return trip, we took a private car to Da Nang International Airport. Check-in: We were warmly received by the staff. At the front office, staff were friendly and made us feel at home. Staff also ensure that we checked in smoothly. Once we got the room, staff showed us to our room and explained its facilities within. Room: We stayed in a Deluxe room. It was cleaned and spacious. Meals: We chose to have our lunch by the pool. Ordered a few dishes and the food was delicious. Breakfast was okay too for both international and Vietnamese food. Staff were attentive and ensure we were comfortable. Location: It is about 15 mins or less drive to the ancient town of Hoi An, provided by the hotel. Alternatively, you may want to rent a bicyle from the hotel at no cost and then cycle to the ancient town. Overall: It was a great stay and we would definitely come back to Boutique Hoi An Resort soon.

this hotel would be more accurately described as a bed and breakfast (or guest house in other countries), that just happens to be magnificent in its beauty and architecture. so as a bed and breakfast you can expect bed and breakfast service. its family run and where there might be some occasional english difficulties with staff other than the manager mr bond, it makes up for with a warm and friendly relationship. unlike other hotels or resorts in vietnam mr bond and staff are happy to recommend places to eat, how to travel around and any requests you might have for the best deal (be that cheap or convenient, always hard to get both those things in a developing country, lets be realistic) for you, not for them. they are not out to sell sell sell to you like so many of the other places you will find in vietnam, but instead offer you something that is very difficult to find if you don’t speak the language... getting to know a local family and its town intimately. we did vietnam travelling at the $30 hotel rates from saigon to hanoi and this was our “respite” stop in between. but i didn’t want to stay at a resort where you still don’t get to know the country or can’t ask the hotel staff where to eat without them saying “here...at the hotel”. i didn’t want a “western” experience, with people wearing white gloves serving my spoilt developed world needs, while travelling this unique and historical and quite literally developing country.... but i did know that by the time we got to hoi an i would be craving a few luxuries... this hotel was the perfect combination for me........ due to word restrictions, please see the rest of my review over at trip advisor: http://www.tripadvisor.com/showuserreviews-g298082-d1477730-r93287051-villa_hoa_su-hoi_an.html
