It was quite a nice modern hotel, nice equipped, great room conditions & cleanliness. But then among numerous resorts in Hoi An, we decided to stay in the coastline area since our target is to enjoy the beach as well as bikini photo shooting. Apparently there was no "private beach" as stated, we went to the "hotel's beach" and there was like 100 local people was swimm...
We found this hotel to be a great place to stay in hoi an . It is a reasonable distance into the city centre but after the hustle and bustle of the tourist centre the calm and tranquility of the resort style river frontage was a welcome relief . There are free shuttle buses to and from the centre so no great hardship in being a bit out of town. Staff were exceptional ...
La Siesta Hoi An Resort and Spa is conviently located, 10 min walk to ancient town (Restaurants, shopping, tailoring, cordwainer/shoemaker). Shuttle service also provided, 5 minutes to town, 20 min to private beach area at An Bang, good for lounging and swimming. Hotel grounds are very well kept. Two pools available, the one closer to reception is a natural salt water...
Plenty of hotels are described as 'Luxury' but few actually make the mark: The Victoria does. The location is calm & quiet and the facilities are excellent. Be aware that you cannot really have a 'resort' or 'beach' hotel in Hoi An town itself (and it wouldn't have the 'calm' of the Victoria if you could). It has to be that short drive away, which is why the Victori...
Our family stayed in Hoi An Silk Marina Resort and Spa for 2 nights, premium suite river view. It's expensive but worths every penny. A nice clean room with one king bed, one sofa inside room and the another one in the wide balcony looks straight to an amazingly beautiful swimming pool with the peaceful Thu Bon river as a background. 3 free open bus to An Bang beach e...
My wife and I are VERY happy with everything about this hotel. The staff is truly amazing and goes out of their way to make you feel special and have a great time during your stay in Hoi An. 1. First, let me say that I contacted the hotel to help me surprise my wife with a beautifully decorated room, and they did an AMAZING JOB. I asked for small cake, flowers and d...
Stayed for 3 days and 2 nights at Boutique Hoi An Resort. Airport Transfer: Upon arrival at Da Nang Train Station, we were received by staff and it was about 45mins drive to the hotel. Along the way, the staff shared with us some of the things to do in Hoi An. For our return trip, we took a private car to Da Nang International Airport. Check-in: We were warmly re...
We stayed here for 4 nights when we were in Hoi An. We absolutely loved Hoi An Silk Village - it has been the best hotel we have stayed in during our Asia trip so far. They knew it was our anniversary and the first day provided a cake and flowers for us in our roo...
My family stayed in this resort from the 10th of January to 12th of January. We really had a great time thanks to the staff and the great facility. We were so glad that we picked Hoi An Eco Lodge & Spa for our stay in Hoi An. It was absolutely perfect and the staff was so service-minded. New spot at south of Nam Hoi An. We could spend all day for many activities at the resort. Food is good and room service is excellent. it is very suitable for family with kids as there are several theme parks here. ticket is availaible at the reception.
Our stay at Pho Hoi Riverside Resort was everything we wanted, the staff were friendly and helpful, our room had everything we needed but did wonder why no towel rails, bed was a bit hard but seems to be the norm in most places we have stayed in Vietnam (not a big deal ). We enjoyed the breakfasts but ate out the rest of the time as there were so many beautiful restau...

We were met by the lovely staff and were booked in quickly and taken by buggy to our room. We had upgraded to the honeymoon suite and were delighted with the room and private pool. There is much building activity along this stretch of the beach, do not let this put you off, it does not impact your stay. The staff were excellent, the breakfast delicious - they literally canno...
This was my second stay here at this beautiful river resort and obviously I would not have come back if I didn't enjoy my first. The first was in 2008. We could not have found a better place to stay in Hoi An! This place has such a great family atmosphere! We felt very welcomed! This little resort is family runned and that is what we like! Thanks to Luyen and Na for the great time and conversations! Cheers Karolina & Sascha
Tucked off the main road this place is gorgeously tasteful with spacious rooms. 10 mins by car to Hoi An centre and 15 mins to the beach - Nghe Garden is a lovely oasis with views over a rice paddy.
this hotel would be more accurately described as a bed and breakfast (or guest house in other countries), that just happens to be magnificent in its beauty and architecture. so as a bed and breakfast you can expect bed and breakfast service. its family run and where there might be some occasional english difficulties with staff other than the manager mr bond, it makes ...
We stayed five nights. The drive to the resort will be 15-20 minutes from Hoi An. The road getting there was quite bumpy, our initial impressions being of concern. The grounds are centered around a lush courtyard and pool, beautiful...
We loved it here, so much so that our 2 night stay turned into 5 nights. Positioned slightly out of the heart of Hoi An we rented hotel bikes (£1 a day) every day and pedalled in to town and 2kms in the other direction to the beautiful beach. The roads are relativley quiet (compared to the rest of Vietnam). The hotel is lovely and quiet with a beautiful pool. The ro...

Staff here were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and quite nice. Good value if booking with discount. Provided breakfast was fairly average, but not too bad considering it was free. Traveler impressions of Hoi An
Beautiful old city, with great restaurant and pubs. You have to pay for entrance to the old town section of the city, it's around 120 000 VND.
Very interesting, historic town with seemingly endless places to eat. The Hoi An specialties are great and are different and tasty in every place we tried.
La ciudad antigua es maravillosa, pasear sin rumbo y dejarse atrarer por sus tiendas, puestos de comida, museos etc.
What a great city, totally third world compared to back in the states, you'll never forget how different the culture there is compared to United States, i'm from Seattle Washington if anyone reading is curious.
My husband and I only stayed for one night, which was much too short. Hoi An had more to offer than I had expected.
The area near the river is interesting with French influence but it is a little bit run down, while at night the area becomes quite vibrant and interesting.
Aside from the beauty of Ancient Town, one of the best things we did while visiting was to rent a scooter to explore the areas off the beaten path.
There is a down side to the ancient city....flooded with tourists, in particular groups that clog the narrow streets and ally.
We enjoyed the sights and the food (good morning vietnam for italian) not fond of bartering so shopping was limited
Hoi An was great and charming. The foods there were authentic vietnamese, unlike Danang which only served seafood.
A charming little city, with a vibrant market, good food, some lovely shops, and excellent tailors, I recommend going to the river at sunset and going out on one of the long wooden boats - you will see plenty of women offering you a ride for a couple of dollars.
I find peaceful to walk around the ancient town here. Then I may sit at a café on the bank of Thu Bon river to have sightseeing and enjoy my coffee.
One of the best places to sightsee and shop in Vietnam. Very original and well preserved. Everybody is very kind.
Hoi An is such a beautiful place to visit with a very nice beach and lots of options for dining and drinking in the evening , unfortunately it is spoiled by the large amounts of back packers who want their usual something for nothing .
Quaint old town, well worth seeing, especially the very old buildings. Some of the locals are very interesting to talk to, if you engage them in conversation.
for beaches and other sight seeing places one should stay at danang and 2 nights in hoi an aresufficient
I loved Hoi An, I live in Da Nang and it was my first trip outside the city. I love that it's a quick getaway and that I have many options on how I want to spend my time when I get to Hoi An, whether it's walking around, eating in new restaurants or cafes, going to the countryside or the night market!
A great town to visit. This was the first time we stayed at the beach and we loved it and would always do that in future.
Loved Hoi An. We stayed for 6 nights and did not want to leave. We will return again for sure. Not a huge amount to do but more than enough and great place to relax as well.
spend two days, try the street food by the riverside, everything;s good the chicken rice is the best i had, the bbq rolled in rice paper with veggies and herbs at Ba Le well, the Cau Lau, meat in skewers, soft tofu desserts, the vegetarian places by the fields in Tra Que.
Rent motorbike is best way to explore this city, very cheap and convinient, I did rent in Danang city than come to Hoi An by muself, can avoid many trouble for transportation between.
The ancient city is a must see, try to go visit at different times of the day and night as there is a very different.
Hoi An is good for those who want to experience history of Vietnam and enjoy evening walk or boat along the river.
The people here are so genuinely kind and friendly. They will invite you right into their homes if you need a bathroom or talk to you in their shops even if you don't want to buy anything.
Most people focus on the old town, but there is far more to Hoi An than just the ancient houses (which are beautiful) and the shops and tailors.
Hoi has so much on offer great selection of dining plus numerous cookery classes on offer Shopping is incredible with great array off goods not just your usual tourist junk Plenty of options when weather turns bad as it did for us, so that it doesn't hinder your stay
Great place to people watch very popular with tourists from Korea and China, also locals still buy and sell from the market in the old town that made it more interesting to me The river running through it is very much the lifeblood of the city.
Hoi An Acidnt Town is just brilliant. During the day you can see the history from its journey as an Acidnt trading port with Japanese features as well as the French influence.
It's great to stay here as well as danang. Enjoy the lanterns each night, and such. A great idea to block off the traffic to allow people to enjoy exploring the city by night.
Beautiful historical city, however, very busy and hectic. If you don't mind crowds you will love it.

We had such an amazing time at the Allegro hotel in Hoi An. From the moment we arrived everything was perfect. The staff greeted us with smiles and helpful information at every chance. They were so friendly and fabulous with my son who was not feeling well the first few days we were there as he was getting over the flu. The hotel itself is charming and lovely. You feel...
Vietnamese are not particularly known for their hospitality and kindness, but the staff of this hotel were incredibly nice and warm, always with a smile on their faces! Made our stay a very pleasant one, despite the hotel not exactly being the most modern (Hoi An, after all, is just a small town). The ancient town was just a 10-minute bike ride away, so we found the lo...
everywhere in hoi an is more expensive than most places in vietnam so this place is a great deal for the price. we booked for 2 people and it cost a total of $30. we had a huge room with 2 double beds, balcony on the 4th floor, good view towards the river and the old city.! bathtub couldn't be filled as hot water ran out but the shower was good. it's in a great locati...
Stayed at the Muong in Hoi An for 10 nights over New Years Eve (wife and 1 year old child). Wish I had stayed longer. Way better than the Van Pearl in Halong Bay (was a 5 Star island resort). Upgraded to Executive suit and definitely worth it. New Year Eve party was excellent. Swam in the ocean then pool every day. Food was safe and mosquitos where never an issue.Staff...
There are many hotels that call themselves "luxury boutiques" that are nothing of the sort. La Residencia does however, live up to it's name. Hoi An is a beautiful town unique in my experiences of Vietnam. It is a town that (literally) must be explored on foot. From this Hotel's location this is very easy to do so. I heard complaints from people commuting to and from...
I came with my family after a long way from the north we arrive to Danang the hotel came to pick us up for very cheap amount at the airport The receptionist was very helpful during all our stay the breakfast is good and unfortunately we didn’t had the chance to enjoy the pool cause the weather was bad but we had the opportunity to take the bicycle for free of use and ...
I have had busy days with tough business in Danang city during last week. So, I have given myself a present of a free day in the peaceful town of Hoi An. Thanks for good introductions from my friends, I have chosen Hoi An Emerald Waters Hotel as my stay in Hoi An. The hotel has helped me to have experienced a great day in the ancient town. Hoi An is new for me and the ...
New spot at south of Nam Hoi An. We could spend all day for many activities at the resort. Food is good and room service is excellent. it is very suitable for family with kids as there are several theme parks here. ticket is availaible at the reception.
The manager, Ms Linh is a very helpful person as she helps to coordinate our airport transfer to Marble Mountain and then to the hotel despite the fact that our flight were delayed for 2.5 hours. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by Ms Daisy who's attentive in serving us. She recommended us lots of places of visit in Hoi An and the told us the short cut roads to these ...
I would say the stay at Little Hoi An was one of the best throughout our whole Vietnam trip, well maybe even better than any we had in Singapore. They had the best customer service, which me and my bf were really happy with. We were greeted with smiles and lots of useful information when we first checked in. All the staffs were really friendly and smiley, especially Hi...

Anio Boutique Hotel deserves to be the best rated hotel in town. The staff is very cordial and helpful. During check in, they even noticed my girlfriends upcoming birthday in her passport and arranged a birthday cake for her. That’s really impressive! Also, the hotel is very new and has good facilities. Breakfast is nicely prepared and has plenty of choices. If you lo...
Stop searching for a hotel in Hoi An! You've already found it!! We've travelled from South to the north and this absolutely is the best hotel in Vietnam. Why? Let me tell you: 1. Decor and style: it's a colonial style hotel that expresses in essence word "boutique". Increadibly charming and gives you that unique experience of Vietnam 2. Location: fantastic - 3 min w...
Excellent value in an immaculate room. Lovely rooftop pool. Great breakfast and outstandingly helpful staff. Lyn orgasnised bikes, taxis etc and could not have done more to make us welcome. We have already recommended to friends heading to Hoi An
The Pearl Hoi An is a very nice resort in its infancy (still in the soft opening stage). The rooms are great, the pool is fantastic, breakfast and room service is good, the staff are nice and helpful, and it’s location next to the beach is nice. The resort is at least a year or two from being prime (if it does ever become a fully realized resort, it will almost feel l...
In Hoi An we stayed at the Huy Hoang Garden Hotel. The location was good approximately 5-10 minute walk to old quarter and 20 minute walk to the bus station for transfer to Danang. It was approximately 25 minute easy going bike ride to the beach. The standard of the Huy Hoang Garden Hotel is middle range but excellent with clean and tidy rooms and a great restaura...

Our stay in Hoi An was overall an excellent experience. Lasenta itself is a very new hotel (3 months from what the concierge told us) and it definitely shows. Upon arriving, we were given a cold towel and a cool herbal drink and then were given the run down of information before being taken to our room. The concierge were always attending to our needs whether it's cal...
This place is absolutely stunning. It was a nice & quiet change after visiting Hanoi for a few days and before heading on down to Ho Chi Minh. I was traveling with family and we had an amazing time. They have a shuttle that runs about 4-5 times per day taking you into Hoi An or a taxi is about $3 one way. Lynn at the front desk was an amazing host and helped us with ...
Phu Thinh resort took us by surprise with its lovely resort ground and amazing hospitality. We have stayed in many hotels in Vietnam, and this hotel had become one of our new favorite. We booked 3 rooms for our family of 6, us, 2 adults children and 2 younger children . The resort had meet all our expectations and much more. Our room was nice and clean. We got compl...
We really enjoyed our four night stay at Ally Beach Boutique Hotel. The staff are extremely helpful, thoughful, some funny and most of them speak good English. The hotel was clean and in a great location as you can easily relax on the beach, or catch the complementary hotel shuttle into Hoi An to investigate this intriguing World Heritage Town. There are some good lo...
I come to VN 4 x per year, mainly for work however some pleasure is added to some trips. I researched for quite a while to find the one for my partner and I and came up with this one. Aira is perfect, has the boutique feel with all the trimmings. It is situated within walking of many great restaurants and bars, making it very easy to try different things. The staff ar...
We stayed in Hoi An for 2 days. During our stay, we found the staff to be extremely helpful. I'd particularly like to mention Hué and Vy. They helped us in arranging tours around Hoi An, recommending must-not-miss places to eat and also helped contacting and speaking in Vietnamese with local private car hire companies. Throughout our stay, we felt we were taken care of...
Really enjoyed staying here. It’s within walking distance to Old Town (15 mins) yet located far enough away to be quiet and away from the tourists. My room was spacious and bed very comfortable with a balcony. Shower pressure great and the breakfast varied and delicious with fresh fruit every day. You can rent bicycles and scooters directly from the hotel at a fair p...
