Where to stay in Tangier-Tetouan
Tangier-Tetouan hotels & accommodations

I think the location is just too far from the mall/train station (about 5 min (no traffic) - 10 min w/ traffic). You can get a taxi though for just 10MAD/per person. There are no restaurants nearby except the hotel's room service/buffet offer/restaurant. Despite the location we still enjoy the pool, the staff were helpful. Room service food wasn't bad :) but if you are...

Checking in took a lil longer. The Staff lady was awarded as Employee of the month although at first, she was not that apprehended on me. And manger had to intervene. The room was clean but we had to call the room staff coz the window won't open up. she was trying to do it, but she gave up. My husband was abit disappointed, we called the attention of the hotel receptio...

Dar Elrio is the best hostel I have ever lived. The amazing rooftop, the fabulous breakfast and the best part, is the host Ali. He is so kind and generous that he lent us the kitchen and even bought us food. The best choice of hostel, well, even hotel I have ever made. And Chefchaouen is really amazing as well, it is a gem of my tour in Morocco.

Quiet, comfortable, clean, spacious rooms. It doesn't have any 'soul', but that's to be expected. I checked in after several sleepless nights in a dirty noisy hotel in the Old City and appreciated it a lot. For 65dh extra you get a hearty breakfast. The location is near the beach, so would be ideal if that's where you are heading. Restaurants nearby are modern (i.e. n...

Chefchaouen is an incredible village and Puerta Azul was a great place to stay! The rooms were spacious- living room, mini kitchen, and fridge and also very clean. My boyfriend loved the decor and ambiance. Most importantly was the awesome staff. They made sure we knew how to get around- explaining the taxis etc...We had awesome conversations and feel like we made frie...

Inside Chefchaouen's medina, but just 100 meters away from one of its entrance. Right on the commercial sé tienen n lf the medina. Very close to shops and restaurants. Nice building. All Was kept very clean at all times. We spent 3 nights there and had no complaints.

Staff is extremely pleasant, reliable and helpful. They've given genuine advice on touring around, food and scenic spots in Chefchaouen. Special acknowledgement goes to Said Raih, Omar and the overnight steward (a lovely guy) who made me feel welcoming at the lodge. Location is good which is close to Ras El-ma (a public carpark) and within 10-15 mins walk to Place ou...

It is a rite-of-passage to get lost in the medinas of Morocco while looking for your hotel upon arrival. But once I found Dar Swiar, I really appreciated the location. It is not far from the plaza and a main road (convenient for taxis). Yet, it is located in a quiet alleyway, not in the middle of the most crowded areas where the tourists are passing by all the time....

Our stay was wonderful. When I wrote, prior to arrival with questions, Nourrdine wrote back immediately with more information than I asked for. The staff was attentive and helpful during our stay, as well. The front rooms have a view of Chefchaouen - much better than being in the medina is to wake up to that view! However, the hotel is very close to the center, if ...

We LOVED the guesthouse. Both Mohammed and Antonio were incredibly helpful and friendly. The hostel itself is simply gorgeous and very near the center and maybe ten minutes from the hiking trails. The staff helped us arrange transport to Tangier Med and made sure we were as comfy as possible. The rooms are lovely, clean, and dozy. The downstairs bathroom's shower is th...

Me and my wife visited Chefchaouen as a pit stop en route to Marrakech, and was nearly tricked by a dodgy resident trying to lead us away from the hotel. However, luckily another resident asked us where we were going and pointed us in the correct direction, and upon reaching the hotel, the staff was very friendly and made the check-in process smooth, and after sending ...

The room is so big. Receptionist is very help. Hot water is not enough. It needs time to wait for next wave of hot water after someone finish shower. The hotel is located 1km away from train station, and 10 min from beach. And there is a big mall near hotel, which is opposite to train station.

Hisham and Zuhair (Zaitouna staff) were very good and they both love their job. They both treat every guest like a member of their family and even recommend the best restaurant in the area. Both of them make our stay in the Riad a very memorable stay. Will definitely stay there again.

Make sure you download Google maps offline before going there. It's hard to find once you get there but locals will lead you there for a tip. Our room was cute and quintessential to the location. Hard to warm up and there was no warm water so we had to skip shower (this may have been only a temporary problem) you'll have to eat elsewhere. Nice staff and excellent l...

The room we booked was really small, 2 little beds and no place to move around (and no attached bathroom) ... even if it was the most expensive room we paid in Morrocco (in 6 weeks). We were a bit desappointed, but we could understand... Chefchaouen is a really famous city and the hotel is well located. At night, we moved a little wood nightstand, and unfortunatly, ...

On weekend night, can heard minimal night club music/singing from nearby. Bathroom has slippery flooring when it’s wet. Floor mat not provided. Room was clean and comfortable. Room looks new. Everything about this place is great! It's located centrally, a 5 minute walk to the main square. Nice large apartment and great rooftop terrace with nice views. Saad, the manager, went above and beyond to help us, organising and even buying bus and train tickets for us when leaving town. Highly recommended!

We had a nice stay. The place was definitely clean and well kept. It is run by a delightful young couple who met us with tea. They were welcoming and helpful. Good location but it takes a bit to find it. Call a head and they will meet you and bring you there.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights. The staff are an absolute credit to this hotel, extremely welcoming, helpful and accommodating (thank you :)). The owner of the Riad is 50% of the charm. She is nice, welcoming, interesting and fun. It was a great stay if only for our chats. The riad itself is superb, comfortable, well decorated and this applies to the rooms as well. The breakfast was nice, prepared by the owner, and very hommy. It is located in the back-alleys of the medina of Tangiers which makes it harder to...

We just spend one night in this hotel. To be frank, first sight would not be good. because I took several time to find this high site, the close street is not too clean. This a great place to stay in Tangier, just nearby the Petite Socco in the medina, they also own a brilliant restuarant nearby where you can order to the riad or just walk the 5mins it instead (try the tangine seafood, you will not regret it). This hotel was the highlight of our recent travels, in which we stayed in about 10 different hotels. The hotel is beautifully designed in a traditional Moroccan style, and is a photo opportunity in itself. When we get in this hotel we had aldeady been in other 2 riads in marrocos, so we have comparator, and this one wasn´t our preferred. The hotel is very very beautiful but I think that the staff wasn´t very helpful. We asked opinion about places to visit and they just don´t know.

The place was very nice. The staff were all absolutely fantastic. The food was great, the place was very pretty. Great getaway. We would definitely come again. A little hard to find due to construction. Don't rely on google maps. Follow actual signs on the roadway!

Loved this place, it was incredibly beautiful, you feel like stepped back in time. I would definitely recommend this place. The only small complaint I would have is the room above was kind of loud. It woke us up multiple times, I ended up wearing earplugs, so it was fine after that.

If you have never been to the medina in Tangier it may be a little hard to find the first time as it's nestled in the winding streets near the Kasba but soooo worth it!!! Staff was fantastic and the lodging was absolutely beautiful. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. (Hint: If you ask, they will serve you beer and wine on the terrace, which can be a little difficu...

the room we booked was for four people but little did we know that that meant that 2 people get to sleep on beds and 2 people get to sleep on couches. it is a bit far from the city and you need to take a taxi to Medina. only book this if you want a budget hostel and there is no alternate option.
