Traveling to Morocco? Find Souss-Massa-Drâa hotels

We loved it! My boyfriend wanted to surf around, so we had a car and were able to do trips. The hotel itself was very good with the own bar - you won´t find the place to drink or buy alcohol in 50 km distance, so that was good:) Also they have the ATM machine, also not available in the nearest town. If you go out for dinner outside, you need the car, the closest place is approx 5 km, please note one is accepting cards!!! and no alcohol anywhere Yoga place is also amazing, practising while sun set, so peaceful! The surfing instructor is very nice guy, very helpful, giving you many surfing tips. Absolutely recommended! BTW: this resort is one of ten best resorts in Morocco!

Great stay overall but only issue was the expensive massages were always shorter than the time charged. The 50min massages were around 40 mins and the 25min one was actually under 20mins. Very annoying. The clock in the massage room was always around 5mins plus already before we even started the massages. I should have asked them to reset but felt too embarrassed to do so. Wish I had.

The staff try the best to make you feel at ease, the building is immaculate and spotless. The hotel is a bit far out but it's quiet if you appreciate that. There is alot of construction going on around the hotel but nothing that majorly affects your stay. The staff are very well spoken and endeavour their best to meet your needs. Overall enjoyed my stay here and would recommend others to go.

Lighting in corridor is a serious Safety Hazard! The drainage in the bathrooms in rooms is not kept well, very stale musty smell, have to keep windows open. They've opt for cheap leds which barely light up anything. The hotel build and facilities are very nice but the above really ruin the experience. If these issues can be corrected i could recommend and i have no doubt, this will be the most popular hotel in the area. I

by far the best 5 star facility we saw in the area, and certainly of the highest standard for maroc. perfect location: near the beach (<5 min walk) but without the crowds, noise or wind. tranquil and private. unfailingly remarkable service at all levels. excellent in-house dining options for enough variety for a short stay. can't speak to the demi or full pension options; but the breakfast buffet upgrade was certainly excellent value.

We moved to the Berbere Palace after a few days in Le Palais De Arts to take advantage of the pool facilities (largest hotel / best pool in Quarzazate to my knowledge - hotel is something of a local landmark) but sadly it rained. Our suite was clean, comfortable and very large, but all of the decor was pretty dated throughout the hotel (bathrooms especially) although not in bad condition. More of a 3*-4* (at a push) hotel by UK standards than a 5* and probably not worth the +£100 a night price tag. Standards however, are different in Moroccco and for a small town, this is a 'fancy' hotel. The hotel was very quiet when we stayed, and it seems like Quarzazate caters for a large tourist population that it fails to attract (there's not a lot to do there and surrounding areas of natural beauty/historical interest can all be covered in two day trips - Skoura,Valley of the Roses, Dades Gorge one day. Movie studios,Taourirt Kasbah, Oasis Fint, Ait Benhaddou the next).The staff were nice, spoke a good standard of English and French and were happy to help arrange (expensive!) drivers for said excursions to local landmarks. The breakfast buffet was of a pretty good standard and variety. Wifi pretty weak.

Good location. Onsite beach. Breakfast has a lot of choices for sweet pastries but food is a let down. Sausages were gone and not replenished when we were having breakfast. They have a buffet dinner 350 Morocco dirhams per person which is not worth it at all. Food on the beach is restricted to club sandwich and pizzas. No alcoholic drinks on beachside however available poolside. Overall hotel clean but I will not stay again and will try another hotel.

This is a serious alegation made by my daughter. She was sleeping in her own bungalow adjacent to ours. She saw a man at her bathroom window whilst she was showering. Their eyes met and she screamed. The man ran away and came back with the caretaker. He admitted to looking through the window at my daughter as he said he had heard some one crying. He was checking the gas for the hot water system at 11:00 pm. The owner does not seem to believe that this incident occurred - he thinks it is a misunderstanding. The reality is I do not believe it is safe to stay in these isolated bungalows as a single woman. My wife slept with my daughter the rest of the night as she was left very frightened.

The hotel is right in central, easy to find with a few decent places to eat. The beach and all the resorts are about a 15min away, so it makes for a good day at the beach and return to the hotel and sit on the terrece of Skybar for a few cool beers. The only negative would be the wifi, which does work in the room. Even on Skybar I couldn't get internet until I rebooted their access point.

Grand hotel that has seen better days. Has large garden area with functioning pool. Building was old with some cracks. Furnishings were well worn and needed updating. Rooms had poor lighting and limited electrical outlets. Wifi worked well in pool area, but very sporadic in the room. Restaurant was buffet only, wide variety for food but rather bland. Most of the other guests appeared to be part of package tour groups.

This hostel has by far the nicest rooms and decoration, it's all very cosy! Also the rooftop is amazing and a nice place to hang out. Common bathrooms were relatively clean and the kitchen is well-equipped. The negative thing is the location: Tamraght is a huge construction site. You can walk to the beach (10 min by foot) but apart from surfers it's a bit deserted and way dirtier/smellier than elsewhere in Morocco. I would never go there again - my advise is to go to Taghazout, where you have a more authentic glimpse of Moroccan surf life and lots of nice restaurants etc. Last thing - this hostel is not for light sleepers: the street next to it is super loud and there's lots of trucks passing by.

We didn't love Tarroudant, maybe we didn't give it enough time, it was a stopover on the way from Imlil to Tafraoute. However the Riad was the best thing about the city. The french lady owner was a lovely woman (no english spoken if thats a problem for you) She was most welcoming and the place itself was clean well thought out with modern decor (the online pictures don't do it justice) And there was an overall feeling of calm once inside. The roof terrace was a lovely place for breakfast with views of the High & Anti atlas. The parking although only on street parking was down a wide (for morroco) and quiet street and reasonably easy to find.

Poor reception staff especially lady with glasses and curly hair very rude charged me tax when I already paid for it through agoda states on my invoice. Air conditioning in this place doesn't work, my room was flooded with water when I took my first shower had to get someone round to unblock it and last but not least breakfast you have food trays which smell like if someone has thrown up on them and flies everywhere in the canteen. People trust me do yourself a favour and book somewhere near the beach as it will all most cost about the same if you factor in the taxis coming and going for this place for about a 7 night stay. It is 200 dirhams from the airport to this hotel & 30 to 40 dihrams in a orange meter taxi which you can just flag down on the road as you walk along make sure driver sets the meter back and is using the meter if not use another taxi.

The appartments are clean but have no internet from the second floor onwards (though the staff informed me that it was supposed to have internet and that they would have to fix the network). The appartment was very comfortable. The kitchenette was well equipped, however the fridge was fixed to the same power grid as the rest of the room,ensuring that when you leave the room the power goes out.

Les Jardins de Skoura exceeded all our expectations.... hidden down a dirt road... it is a little oasis of calm and greenery. we received a very warm welcome from Marie and Thierry and their staff were super helpful and efficient. We felt very comfortable immediately and wished we could have stayed longer. Lovely spacious rooms, gorgeous terraces to sit on and look at the palm trees and dinner under the trees by candlelight. Everything was thought of. A great little find !

Had a great two nights stay with my wife. Great location in the Palmeraie, easy to find following signs from Skoura. Hotel is very nice, rooms are separated bungalows among vegetable crops, fruit trees. Great pool, very refreshing. Staff were extremely nice and helpful, including the owners who were very nice and approachable. Food was delicious, made with ingredients from their own farm. Would definitely recommend it, would stay here again.

DO NOT LET THE NEIGHBOUR PUT YOU OFF!!! It is worth the effort to find this Riad so stay away from the hotels off the main streets. GPS your way here, bite your tongue through the dusty roads (we arrived when it was pitch black driving in almost dirt roads, partner nearly forced me to turn around as she thought it looked like an abandoned area). Found the place due to the doorman and large double gate of what seemed like a mini fort. After checking in, the manager arranged a purpose made meal for us on request at 11pm. Luckily the cook lived next door. AMAZING LAMB KEBAB!!! AMAZING. We spent a good 10 minutes slowly exploring the main building. Only regret was that we didn't stay an extra day or 2 to recharge from the long drives. Lots of hidden areas and rooms to duck into to read and relax. Very good high pressure shower and welcome platter; tea, fruit, and nuts. We are planning to return just to relax in this Riad and hope that everything remains the same. Easily the best place we stayed in on our entire trip in Morocco and Europe! This is out of 10 hotels, 6 riads, 9 guest houses, 4 backpackers, 3 hostels, the back seat of Hyundai i10, a tent in the desert and curled next to a camel under the stars.
