Location is perfect, right in the city center and next to a market and grocery store. Clean facilities. Staff is friendly. Ok kitchen. The dorm is a open space and it gets quite loud in the morning once the staff wakes up and starts chatting. Also the dorm is a way to the cleaning storage. Would stay again. Book online, way cheaper than booking on spot. Online 1600, on spot 2000

My girlfriend and I booked this place last minute (the day of) and got a room with shared facilities for $75 through Agoda. So cheap! 😮 Staying here is cheaper than visiting for the day. STAY HERE! They throw in FREE snorkeling, scuba diving tours, glass floor boat tours, and other stuff. The sunset ☀️ and sunrise 🌅 is utterly breathtaking and it is so quiet. Only downfall is that it very touristy. So if you’re not wanting to have a tourist based experience while visiting Vanuatu 🇻🇺 stay here only one night. Experience this beautiful resort and then head to the north end of Efate Island for true island life. But all in all, Hideaway Island 🌴 was awesome and highly recommended.

The girl at the check in was really nice, but also kept really close because I had to pay in cash and I still had to go to the atm to get it and she came with me. Either because she was nice or because she wanted to make sure I get the cash. I paid the same evening but in the supermarket since she left. The hotel is huge but there were only 2 guests. I booked a dorm but she explained to me that there are no more dorm rooms, just single rooms, which was ok. BUT: sh have me the room with a light in front of the door that just blinked on and off, kinda scary with these long empty hallways, the “bathroom” was just 2 sinks at the end of the hallway and 2 toilets each for men and women also the lights go off after 20 sec.. The room was directly over a bar and by 1 am I couldn’t sleep anymore because of the loud music. I did get another room on the top floor so tha was ok but done through the guy from the supermarket. The restaurant is closed and the whole facilities need a make over badly.

The hotel location was decent and relatively clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It's the main attractive point. The facilities were disappointing. The pool is more like a kid's pool. Also the hotel actually acts semi as a school - there's books occupying breakfast table, and you can hear student having lessons from your room which is not great for relaxing. There was mention of restaurant on the website but we couldn't see any nor was informed of it. Also the share kitchen is very tiny kitchen with only a small bar fridge available. However, given the relatively cheaper price it's decent. It's just not suitable for couple for romantic getaway as was stated. Feels more higher level backpackers with private bathroom.

Our entire trip to Vanuatu was made all the better thanks to Pasi Lodge. This was the last leg of our 3-month South Pacific tour, and it was easily the best spot in all our travels. Having your own apartment is awesome no matter where you are, but with an outdoor patio, two comfy beds, a cooking area, and living room, it was like having your own place in Vanuatu. Plus, the free Wi-Fi actually worked....an unprecedented bonus in the South Pacific. Joselyn was also a wonderful host and fixed up our room frequently. For the money and the amenities, it doesn't get any better than Pasi Lodge.

Le Life Resort has a fantastic view from the restaurant area and each of the bungalows, with the ocean immediately in front of it just steps away. It has the best natural ocean swimming pool I've ever seen - large, sandy bottom, close to shore, easy to access, reasonable depth (up to armpits), warm water, gentle / calm waves (whilst loud, big waves crash 50 metres in front of you). I'd read mixed reviews of the restaurant but it was excellent - maybe this was because it was peak season and they had plenty of staff and ingredients, or maybe its always like this, but really the food was very good, offered a great range and was reasonably priced. The major negative for us was the wifi doesn't work at all, despite what they tell you. It's only one hour away from Port Vila by car (expect to pay 7,000 Vatu for a taxi one way) and is very affordable lodgings and food (especially compared to Port Vila), so I would highly recommend travelling to Le Life and staying 2 or 3 nights.

I was so happy with my choice because I was looking for somewhere I could relax on the beach and feel at home as opposed to a big hotel! The natural setting of these bungalows offered peace & quiet, access to local sites, convenient transport, an opportunity to experience Vanuatu as if I lived there! I will definitely be back with my family and friends! I found the bungalows to be quite spacious and open! I loved getting amongst the locals and experiencing their way of life and I found this stay to be very affordable. The staff caught fish at the beach in the front yard for my dinner ...so natural! The owners are amazing I felt like part of their family! If you want to chill out and feel the vibe of Vanuatu I recommend Tara beach bungalows 😊

We absolutely loved Tranquility! Staff were amazingly considerate, thoughtful, polite and welcoming. Douglas cooks incredible meals every day and Joe and Sun are the loveliest managers we've ever had the pleasure to stay with. The island is a stunning, isolated paradise where you can be the only ones on the beach or only divers underwater. Marine life is abundant - so many fish! We saw a turtle while kayaking and dolphins might pay you a visit if you're on the boat too! We stayed in a beach fare which was basic but comfortable. There's generator power for a few hours a day. Be prepared to 'rough it' a little. If you are scared of creepy crawlies or you are looking for luxury - this may not be for you. But for those with an adventurous side and looking to get back to nature with likeminded travellers, this would be perfect. These guys are doing great things at the resort and for the local people and endangered hawksbill turtles. If we didn't have to work, we would have never left.

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, I honestly don't have enough words for how welcomed we felt. The owners were very welcoming and would always stop to say hi and have a chat, your customer service is just brilliant! We had a delay with our flight and arrived a lot later than expected, we were greeted by security who showed us to our room which was fantastic as we were very tired and ready for bed. We really enjoyed Peters tour through Mele village and highly recommend it (thank you Peter). The food was very nice (my fiancé loved the kick ass curry), the room was very comfortable and located superbly close to the beach with amazing rockpools at low tide. The location is out of town but there were always buses in the area (Sunday is a bit quieter in the morning) and reception was always happy to call one if required. Even though it's out of town there are a number of activities in the area but it's also great if you want to just sit and chill.

Perfect waterfront location, with lovely outdoor dining area, bar and swimming pool to relax , unwind and enjoy the view. The continental breakfast of tropical fruit, cereal, toast + spreads, cakes and pancakes, is included in the price, and is a lovely way to start the day. The hotel rooms are neat, clean and compact, and are ideal for those who are out and about during the day, and want a relaxed, friendly place to stay, just a short walk along the waterfront to town. Prices of accommodation in Vanuatu are generally quite expensive, and the room prices fluctuate a lot from week to week, so it pays to shop around for a reasonable deal.

Lovely and quiet, lagoon view room was the best with large balcony to relax, the restaurant serves beautiful food. Staff are lovely. Ursula and Richard are fabulous hosts, giving great advice and stayed up till late waiting for us to arrive after long delays. The pool was relaxing, and as there are only 5 rooms with no children, it was perfect. I would highly recommend staying here if you want a nice quiet place to relax and wind down , Thanks Ursula and Richard :)

I'm french and I appreciated the staff because some people are speaking french and english language We stayed for one night more, because it's very clean and the price you pay, it's the right price, there is no surprise with additionnal fees for Visa Card payment like the De Santo Village Resort which add 4%!!! It's a little bit far away to Port Vila, (10 minutes with a bus), you will pay 600 Vatu for a couple, it's a low price to have a quiet moment front of the sea The dinner time is perhaps too early. It's good to have a wifi free in your room, air cool and fridge Some things are missing for me : a light above the miror in the bathroom, and also above the bed, but it's not very very important I enjoyed my stay and I recommand this hotel

The resort and the grounds were immaculately presented. Our bungalow was very clean and comfortable and having the private pool and balcony was perfect. All the staff were very professional, helpful and friendly. We would like to say Thank You to the staff that we had the pleasure to meet and get to know over our time, Thomas, Karl, Irene and the front desk staff. The food was amazing and definitely recommend this resort, we checked out a lot of places during our visit and the food here was stellar, five star quality, freshness and just amazing... We hope to visit again next year!!!!

We stayed at Nasama Resort for 6 nights in late March. Both having never been to Vanuatu before were unsure what to expect but upon leaving the airport when we landed to flying back to the Gold Coast the Vanuatu people were amazing. Arriving at the hotel via taxi the reception staff were fantastic. We were checked into our beachview studio immediately and were so pleased when we walked in. The room was huge and self contained with a full kitchen and a beautiful patio area directly overlooking the beach. The hotel has a beautiful pool which we took advantage of almost daily and is directly on the beach. The beachfront has a gorgeous rockpool on the shore also. As the hotel doesnt have a restaurant we took advantage of the barbeque area provided and headed to town via bus almost daily to the big supermarket Au Bon Marche to stock up on necessities. Try any kind of beef in Vanuatu, its incredible! The reception also happily helped us with tour bookings, hire car bookings and restaurant bookings. On our 5th night we asked to pay for an upgrade to a beachfront suite.. They happily sorted this for us and the room was just beautiful, pay the extra, its worth it! Would definitely recommend Nasama to friends and family and hope to stay again soon.

We definitely enjoyed our stay at the lodge. We liked that it was right by the water – so ideal for a swim – and we were able to use the Kayaks for free. There was also a nice pool and BBQ facilities. The room was clean, nicely decorated and had great views. It also had aircon and a kitchen which is handy if you feel like cooking. The staff were friendly and tried to help where possible. Our flight was delayed, so checking out a little later and remaining on the hotel grounds for longer wasn’t a problem. The other good thing was the location. It was right on the main road that leads into the town centre. It was a 15min walk or you can just stop a minibus type taxi into town from right outside the property. Also, there was a security guard at night! Overall we found the accommodation quite expensive especially as the breakfast wasn’t included. Breakfast would have cost an additional $15pp but what was on offer didn’t seem value for money. So instead we went elsewhere or got something from the supermarket. Though it is to be noted that Vanuatu isn't a cheap destination as initially assumed.

We just arrived home yesterday and I could not wait to write this review! The Grand hotel & Casino far exceeded our expectations. The view from the panoramic rooms are breathtaking and we absolutely loved waking up to an incredible view every morning. The sunsets were to die for as well! The hotel is so conveniently located to everything and the staff were so warm and welcoming making us happy every time we talked to any of them. The rooms were clean and well appointed and beds very comfortable. There is no noise in the rooms whatsoever. The restaurant is the best in Port Vila, we tried a few others but none compared to the quality of food we experienced at the Grand. If you are wanting a holiday that ticks all the boxes then do not go past this place! We can not wait to go back! THANK YOU FOR A WONDERFUL HOLIDAY!! :)

A great little hide away where you can get plenty of nature and meet amazing people. The restaurant is fantastic with amazing local produce. The organic beef steak is a must. Accommodation is nice, spacious room with kitchenette and great views. A bit run down but they are making improvements. The river is mesmerising and you get to see locals across from the river living their simple and happy lives. Staff are very friendly and accommodating, Olivia at the restaurant is a gem.
