Where to stay in Nagasaki Prefecture
Nagasaki Prefecture hotels & accommodations
We stayed at Dormy Inn for 2 nights initially and then returned just under a week later for 1 more night before returning to Tokyo. The facilities provided at Dormy exceeded our expectations. Comfortable, clean and centrally located. Only 2-3 minutes from the tram lines that access all major points of interest and also only 2-3 minutes away from the pick up/ drop off p...
Warning: This hotel is not located in Nagasaki city. We accidentally overlooked the location and wasted extra time and money getting to the right area. It is very far from Nagasaki city. With that said, the hotel was nice. It's located next to the lake and we had nice views. There was also a beautiful garden and children's amusement park next door. The rooms were also...
I found out about this hotel from the Gunkanjima (Battleship Island) Concierge website map. I was looking for a hotel near the boat dock since we were on the morning cruise, and this one is the closest one -- literally across the street from the boat check-in office. On their English map, the hotel is actually listed as the "Montley Nagasaki," a distortion of the Jap...
The hotel was great value and super conveniently located. There’s also onsite parking (1000yen a night until 12pm the following day). The deluxe room was super spacious by Japanese standards and the room was spotless. Very close to all the bars/restaurants/shopping district of Nagasaki and 1 min walk to the tram stop. Service was great too. Would highly recommend stayi...
Great location, comfortable room and the price is cheaper compared to other hotels nearby. It's a short walk to the theme park and there is free shuttle bus to go to Nagasaki Bio Park, which I really enjoyed.
We were doing a self drive free and easy tour. The Hotel Forza is not listed on the GPS and we had to ask at a petrol station for additional instructions. Parking is about 5 minute walk from the hotel. Being located within the shopping area and business district of Nagasaki the hotel is generally fully booked. The staff was one of the best and extremely helpful in mak...
The Toyoko Inn is an impressive facility compared to the area. It has a nice location and the rooms and building is clean and comfortable. However, the staff was unfriendly and did not seem happy to help with any issues or concerns. Also their breakfast, though complimentary was also unimpressive compared to the rest of the hotel itself. I would recommend this hotel bu...
I stayed there one night. Everything was perfect for its price. Although most tourists are Korean or Japanese, the staff is efficient and helpful for non-Korean and non-Japanese tourists, too. I recommend this place.
quite new hotel and very clean, room space is Okay, with good location, in front of tram(street car) stop, only several stops from Nagasaki station. There is a Family Mart convenience store next door... it is recommended hotel... there are so many Nagasaki Hotel but this one is group of Best Western Premier?
The hotel locate just across the street from Nagasaki JR station. It is also close to Bus terminal and tram station. So, travel around Nagasaki is convenient whether by walking or tram. The staffs are very kind and helpful. some of them can communicate in English quite well. The single room I stay is clean with comfy bed. The bathroom is clean and well equipped. ...
It was one of the best places we stayed at during our journey around Kyushu and Shikoku. The location was just across the street from the main JR station exit. Although the room was small (like all Japanese hotels) the place was clean; breakfast was inexpensive and service was excellent. It is the ideal place to stay if one is visiting Nagasaki for sightseeing for a co...
This is a interesting hotel staffed with robots. Face recognition to access our room was an excellent idea as we tend to forget to bring our keycard. The checkin and checkout was a breeze. We wanted to ask about tour and was able to access hotel staff to assist us quite quickly. The robots could speak Japanese and at least some English and Chinese. Other guests we...
We had a nice stay at the APA Hotel in Nagasaki. The people at the front desk were friendly and accommodating. Inside our room, even though the room was small, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom amenities were okay! All in all, we made a good choice staying the APA Hotel Nagasaki Ekimae!
We stayed in the Terrace Lodge and had a ground floor room which was huge. It had a private terrace with a hammock overlooking Nagasaki Port. There were two choices for breakfast, Japanese and Western. We later discovered that they were actually served in different restaurants. The western breakfast was served in the Terrace Lodge diner on site but the Japanese was ser...
Very convenient location and great service. Sasebo Bus Station is located on the first floor of this building. From this bus station you can take the bus to Fukuoka and/or to Nagasaki.
This is the second time for me to stay in this hotel. Though a new hotel has opened in the park, I still booked Hotel Europe and it did not disappoint me. Apart from its convenient location, I enjoyed the pleasant services and the little bit of vintage feel which match quite well with the theme park. Huis Ten Bosch is a theme park that I would miss as it is well operat...
the villa is big and can house at least 4 to 5 persons. but my party was only 2, if i had to stay in that region again, given similar prices, i'd choose hotel amsterdam as it sits inside the fun park, i suppose.
The hotel was much better than we had expected before arrival. We had earlier been afraid of the bed size as we booked for "semi-double" that we might have to share a small single bed for the night. It turned out the bed was double enough for two, fitted to Japanese tight room. The hotel was a short walk from Nagasaki station, only two tram stations. Shoikd walk to...
I stayed at Hotel New Nagasaki with my parents for three nights, and we had a wonderful stay. The hotel staff was extremely helpful, accommodating, and good at English. The location was very, very nice, right next to the Nagasaki JR station. Additionally, they had good restaurant recommendations. As soon as we arrived at this hotel, we had a great lunch course at a Jap...
hotel armsterdam is the best hotel we have stayed during our trip in japan. if you are visiting htb then i will recommend this hotel. best location, spacious room, very clean and very friendly staff and last but not least yummy breakfast.
Room, like many rooms in Japan, is small. That said, I did find my stay relatively enjoyable. Price wasn't too pricey and service is as expected. Mainly went out in morning and came home late. Stayed 2 nights in early April 2019. Best part is location - only 5 minutes' walk to the intercity bus station (that can take you to Nagasaki or Fukuoka); and the JR station is ...
- Easy access to the hotel from airport limousine bus (but you have to be careful since there is not pellican crossing in the city so you have to drag your bags across the pedestrian bridge to reach JR Nagasaki Station. Please find where the elevator is) - Easy to go anywhere since there are 2 streetscar line pass the station) - There is free shuttle bus from JR stati...
This is a small hotel, with friendly supportive staff. Rooms are spacious for Japan, with standard amenities.
Room price is really cheap as it comes with buffet breakfast and dinner. Many varieties to choose from. The hotspring is good too, indoor and outdoor. Room spacious with balcony.
We stayed in this hotel for almost a week. Everything was great. The hotel was clean, the staff were very polite and approachable. Some of the staff understood English, so it’s good. They have WiFi but sometimes fluctuates. Pros and cons. Cause the hotel is in ginza the parking is not free. But other than that everything is ok. My husband was always at work, so eats ea...
I stayed here for 7days. I got this reservation from agoda and very great deal. Everyday they will give us sets of new towels, etc. There’s also free drinks coupon everyday. It’s very near the city. And the good thing about this hotel is free parking.. overall this hotel was really nice.
I stayed in APA hotel first time. Location, cleanliness, facility and service, everything good! But I feel a little expensive. Perhaps, every hotels in Nagasaki are expensive...
With the facilities and amenities that this place offers, it is understandable that the price is more expensive compared to a typical hostel or capsule hotel. The reception staffs for check-in and check-out were really nice. The room has plenty of space considering it's still in capsule hotel category. The hotel only has one shower room for male, but it does have a com...
pros -- The location of this hostel is no more than 5 minutes south of Nagasaki station, and even closer to the nearest tram station. It is also very close to the Nagasaki Port terminal if traveling to nearby islands. The dorm rooms have futon style beds with individual curtains, lamp, chargers, and safety deposit box, so you can feel relatively safe with your belon...
Hotel was great experience, rooms were clean and nice and the japanese style breakfast was so delicious yet cheap! Only down side was the location for us: if you're only going to visit Nagasaki city, I wouldn't recomment booking this hotel 'cause it takes 40-60 minutes by train. On the other hand it was nice to see more of the country side. We had Japan rail passes so ...
Cheap places to stay in Nagasaki Prefecture
The hotel is more like a residence and each room is literally a small apartment. It's very comfortable and the surroundings are very quiet. The only problem is the train's frequency if you plan to visit around but it's perfect if you simply want to enjoy Japan's countryside.
The view from the room is worth it.
If you are looking for a heartwarming Japanese guest room, Kagamiya will be the best choose for you in Nagasaki. the hosts are super hospitality and can speak English properly. In your deep Japanese culture tour in Nagasaki, you shouldn't miss this guest room.
Wonderful stay at Casa Blanca. The location is excellent for sightseeing. Dejima and Chinatown are right beside it, the Dutch slope and Seaside Park are 15 minutes away, and the tram is just around the corner if your destination is Glover Gardens/Oura Cathedral or Atomic a Bomb Museum/Peace Park. The staff are all friendly and helpful, and you are also able to cook you...

Away from Nagasaki town about 15minits with widing road at small fishing village. Can view the sunrise at the Seaview room without go to main road. Breakfast very nice and it's worth to add in to your room.
This is the first time I visit Nagasaki, I surprisingly found that the staffs of AKARI are so kind and they gave me MANY information about my tour. First, they have their own map about the area nearby which can tell you the places to go. Second, they offer a discount card and it's VERY VERY useful since most of the famous place in Nagasaki can be discounted by this car...
Original plan was 3 nights camping in the island by rent a car with my son. But since we couldn’t find a rental car for the first day, we suddenly booked this guesthouse in the morning. Despite of sudden booking, the hosts kindly arranged picking up service from the airport (¥1,000-), nice seafood izakaya restaurant and a shuttle to the restaurant. We also enjoyed con...
I really liked this hostel. The staff was INCREDIBLY friendly. They layout was great. Someone handmade these awesome wooden mini-rooms. There was room for my luggage in my bed area, plus there were lockers for valuables and you can lock any big bags on a rack outside the dorms if needed. My dormitory bed, bathroom, shower, and kitchen were all on the same floor. It was...
This charming place is located on a hill and facing the Twenty-Six Martyrs Museum and Monument. It is a 5 minutes walk to/from Nagasaki Station, but one must go up an overhead bridge, a steep slope, and stairs in the building. (If you carry luggage you will definitely take more than 5 minutes.) I booked a bed in the dorm, and each bed is like a small room with its own ...
I had a very good stay at the hotel. It is very close to the major attractions related to the bombing of Nagasaki. Also close to a street-car stop to reach other attractions. thhe hotel suited me fine as I was there for the memorial of the bombing. I found the hotel old-style and tired. It needs some remodeling and sprucing up. The level of staff Englihs was also low.
Due to very heavy rainstorm, we had to cancel all plan in Nagasaki and headed to Shimabara earlier. We arrived the hotel under strong wind and rain 2 hours before check-in time but the staff allowed us to have early check-in without charge. Our room were on the top floor and we could see the clear view of Shimabara Castle when the weather became clear at night. A foo...
This is by far the biggest room I ever come across for standard of Japan hotel. It’s just stone throw away from the bus station. The hotel have two Onsen for male and female in separate floor located in another building attached with it. There is a restaurant in the hotel but we didn’t try it. To go to most tourist spots on the mountain you will need to take a bus...

Hotel is located within eye shot of the main Nagasaki station (to the left when you walk out). There is a restaurant on the first floor. I didn't eat there, but Japanese food is usually decent to awesome no matter where you got it. The single room was small and quaint and warm in winter. The hotel is about ten to fifteen minute walk to deijima wharf which has som...

It's located near to Nagasaki station & bus station; about 5 mins walk. The breakfast in the hotel (500¥ per pax) is nice & worth the money. The staff at the counter are friendly & professional; they have your room key ready once you step in. The beds in our room is big & comfortable. The room is very clean with free wifi. The toilet is small but very clean; & even ha...
Very nice modern hotel located in small and very peaceful town. The Kikitsu station is 4min walk away. The room is reasonable size (for Japanese standards). One special amnety they have in the room is a foot massager, quite useful to massage your legs after a day walking around Nagasaki prefecture. The staff are friendly even though they are not quite proficient in Eng...
Great hotel near transport and bars restaurants etc. They have a small public Onsen, which is nice.Good size room with views of Nagasaki downtown. Will stay here again.
Location is far from Nagasaki JR station. Dated hotel but still clean. Room is small which quite standard for normal Japanese hotel room size. The staff is superb though, very helpful and gave us recommendation & tips to Nagasaki attractions.
Great location! Literally 30 seconds away from the bus terminal that will take you to the airport and other destinations. It is also 5 minutes away from the nearest tram station and JR station. Front staffs were kind and helpful. Check in was a breeze. Although this hotel is a bit old, but don't worry facilities were well-maintained, and the room itself was HUGE by Jap...

I booked this hotel to avoid the need of carrying the luggage to cross the overhead. It was a reasonably easy 10 mins' walk each way to and fro Nagasaki station without luggage. One advantage was having the tram stop very near hotel Ikelda. When I decided to change the JR tickets to a later timing, the staff was unsure and suggested I walked back to Nagasaki statio...
Isahaya is a small town about 20 minutes from central Nagasaki by express commuter train. It is a good choice for an inexpensive place to stay while visiting Nagasaki. The Isahaya Station Hotel is, oddly, not located next to the station. There are other hotels in between. It is about a 5 minute walk down the road, after turning left. It may be quite difficult to locat...

The Nagasaki Nisshokan Hotel is essentially a large ryokan that is set high on a hillside overlooking Nagasaki Harbour. Nagasaki is said to have one of the world's most beautiful night city views, and the views from the hotel did not disappoint. I booked it because of its unbelievable value for two, including a full buffet breakfast, and free shuttle buses to and fro...
Perched exclusively on a hill slope the hotel offers excellent City view. Offers convenient shuttle service to Nagasaki Station. Very polite and friendly staffs. Spacious room for triple occupation with high quality bedding, linens and toiletries. Breakfast spread was good although limited in choice. Overall an excellent hotel perfectly manned by an excellent crew. Tha...
Unzen is a small village with many Ryokan, and it's amazing to walk through the streets and see steam from the jigoku ("hells") rising out of the ground all over the place, if you don't mind a slight smell of sulphur. I haven't been to Beppu so I can't compare the quality of the hot springs, but Azumaen has a wonderful facility. We were given traditional Yukata to wea...
We stayed in the jap style room that could fit a family of 4. While it was clean, it was tired looking so I think opting for the modern rooms is a much better option. Rest of the hotel has been updated and the outdoor onsen especially was very nice. No need to book the private bath which is much smaller and less lux. We had the meal option - the dinner and breakfast wa...
It has beautiful view and kind staff. If I have a chance to visit Huistenbosh, I will stay this hotel again. Morning spa also good.
I knew the hotel had a great view when I booked it, but didn't realize how great it is until I saw it for real! After a windy long drive up the hill of Sasebo, the hotel owned the hill top with great view even from my own room. I was going to pick one of the few recommended locations to watch the famous sunset but after checking in the hotel, I realized it had the best...
Good view a huge window in your room and you can see the night view for the city is awesome that look up to sky and find many stars
Great hotel near transport and bars restaurants etc. They have a small public Onsen, which is nice.Good size room with views of Nagasaki downtown. Will stay here again.
Highly recommended! We loved the onsen at Iseya. There is an outdoor and indoor bath for men and women separately. Everything is well maintained and clean. The rooms are traditional Japanese style on tatami mats with a small sun room attached to it. There is a pretty tea set on the table with hot water in a thermos, glasses and ice water in another thermos as well....
Good traditional meal Comfortable japaneses style room with in room Onsen
it was gooooooooooooood! I visited here with my mom and friend. We were satisfied.Especially, dinner was very delicious. At the Hirado bus teminal, pickup service was very good. The hot springs were very nice.I want to go again next time.
It's very difficult to communicate with staff caz they couldn't speak English..But they were very kind and hot spa was really impressive..
Looking over an aging shipyard bay and situated on a long narrow winding road mid hill. Its a tranquil resort and staffs are well trained

Pros: 1) Location (hotel is just across the train station and by the entrance of the HTB Park) 2) wide selection and very good buffet breakfast 3) Family Mart inside the hotel Cons: Room is small. Booked a triple room. 3rd bed in the room is a sofa bed.
