Where to stay in Mindoro Oriental
Mindoro Oriental hotels & accommodations

I booked 5 rooms with me and my friends at the last min. When we got to the hotel everything was smooth and we were all in our rooms within 8 min. The rooms were clean and the aircon in my room was brand new. Next time I visit Mindoro I will stay at this hotel.

WiFi was terrible - constant disconnects, speed maybe 3/10, requires repeated logins with individual code given by reception. Excellent location - 85 steps from front of property to the dive shop. Although it’s nothing BUT steps once you’re on the property - no elevator, about 250 steps uphill going from front of property to the room. They have a restaurant (Tamarind) ...

I booked it based on stars and the fact that it is touted to be a spa with great cuisine. The Spa " creeped me out" my gf said ....:( we never saw anyone avail the use of the spa. The fusion cuisine of Europe and Aisa was odd..... The pasta served Luke warm :( The sandwiches a gooey mess But... If you love Filipino food your in heaven My GF said it was the best Si...

A perfect stay...one minor issue was resolved quickly. Owner Gavin has a great thing going here. He lets the amazing staff run this place with the up-most care and respect for you, the guest. So, I stayed at the very top Penthouse level. Climb to the room is worth it...each climb gets easier. What a great view. My room was 1st class, great bath/shower with good pressur...

We stayed 2 nights over the Easter weekend, March 2016. The trip by road from Manila to Batangas Port, followed by the ferry trip to Sabang, was long and tiring due to the heavy holiday weekend crowds. However, we immediately forgot about the awful trip as soon as we arrived at Lalaguna Villas. Check in was quick and efficient, with complimentary refreshments served wh...

I always stay here when I go to Mindoro. I personally like this place because the bathroom is large. I just don't like small bathrooms even if they are pretty clean. The only problem I had this time is that the toilet didn't always flush properly so I had to add water to the tank manually, and the shower's water wasn't always hot enough. But overall especially consider...

It's really good placed. 진짜 좋은 위치에 있습니다. It's close from the pier but there's no bad smell. 항구에서 가까이에 있으면서도 비린내가 나거나 하지도 않고 좋아요. Only 5 min. 항구에 내려 5분이면 걸어가는 거리입니다. 배에서 내려서 왼쪽 길따라 가면 바로 나옵니다. Also it's easy to find. When we go on a Banka to Mindoro island , we can see the blue resort. 찾기도 쉬어요. 방카타고 민도로섬 들어갈때 눈앞에 파란색 리조트가 멀리서도 바로 보입니다. Ate and manong are really kind...

Stayed in the VIP suite. It's brand new. Very nice. Private pool. Huge flat screen tv. Jacuzzi that wasn't working. Beautiful view from balcony with loungers and HUGE papasan chair. Restaurant is pricey, but that's Sabang. I will admit it was one of the best dinners I've ever had in the provinces. Fresh crab, great filet mignon ( Papas is a steakhouse too), nice bottl...

This is a safe and good choice for international travellers. Although some rooms in resorts in the Philippines will be dusty or too old, the rooms at Oriental Sabang are not. The rooms are also pretty large, with room for queen size bed area, a refrigerator and TV area, and nicely separate bathroom. Lots of TV channels and no problems at all with reception or picture....

Nice individual huts lining up the hill right overlooking the beach. No A/C or hot water, so may be challenging in the hotter summer. Very nicely kept gardens and personal service family. Good food and spa/massage, at reasonably low price, although not cheap for Mindoro.

Value for money Room rate includes breakfast that the staff will serve at your preferred time that you can have al fresco, with a view of the swimming pool . Guests need not look for beach activities themselves as the staff will be the one to book them upon request, the price is the same or even lower than what is being offered to tourists in the main beach. Location ...

Sunny beach is one of the best located hotel in mindoro. clean beach in front of the hotel, only 30 min walk along the beach to the white beach. Rooms ale very clean equipped with everything that you need. food is fantastic. I tried eating in the other restaurants and hotels but honestly their food is the best. the hotel staff is very helpful and caring for guests. The...

before booking we received from the management lots of information and photos; even a detailed description how to travel from manila and back. the trip by the way was very nice – a part with the bus and a part with the boat. the hotel driver fetched us from puerto galera. the rooms and other facilities were in very good shape and well maintained and cleaned. almost al...

Unlike the negative reviews here, my family enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The staff at the front desk greeted us with a smile when we arrived and all our queries were answered. Their marketing manager met us at Batangas Port, giving us further instructions in going to the hotel. Also, upon checkout, they assisted us in booking our return trip and in getting a tricycl...

The superior room at the Resort does not have a private balcony but it is shared. We stayed for 4 nights and be prepared for an influx of Korean tourists and locals on the weekend. Book early to avoid disappointment as this resort is highly sought after. We hardly spent in the room so it didn't matter that much that the bathroom is quite basic and falling apart in so...

as what the title said, me and my girlfriend felt so regretted when we realize we only booked here for just 1 night! And always been ask by my girlfriend if we could stay for another night regardless we already booked another room at white beach for the following day. We were greet warmly by the owner, Richard when he saw us walking to the resort. Then we were welcomed...

I booked my stay as a gift to my girlfriend for her birthday. I found this place because of all the amazing reviews it had in the different websites. I looked at the pics and I have to admit I wasn't impressed, but I read many reviews and I thought: "So many people can't be mistaken". So I decided to book it. I just got back home this evening and I have to say that n...

It was a place recommended to us by the PGYC where we were doing a weeks sailing course. Bit apprehensive as the resort was only 2 stars and the week stay including breakfast was the price off 1 nights stay in any city hotel. Checked out the rave reviews and booked it. From the moment we arrived we were looked after, bags taken from the trike to our room. Smiling happ...

This by far is the best hotel i have stayed in puerto galera. The beach is right infront of you when you go out from their restaurant. Although the room is a bit small for their king size bed. Theres no closet only drawers and one disappointment is they missed a spot in cleaning the bathroom. However, staff is friendly and very accommodating. When we requested for our ...

Overall it was quite good. Stayed 3 days. Never find it on your own as Sabang is full of narrow side roads and mazes and alleyways. All the locals know the hotel and one showed us the way. Only 2 minute walk from the harbour and pier, and less than a minute to convenience stores and many restaurants. Rooms were cleaned daily and all have balconies or outside pat...

This is near the drop off point of the bancas coming from Batangas Pier. I have booked this through Agoda.com and the rate if cheap for a 5-pax group. The room itself has a double and 3 single beds with the thinnest bed spread I have experienced. The bathroom at the minimum, functional. Just be careful with the sink otherwise it will fall off. The hot shower is just ...

The most memorable part of my stay was the staff that worked there. For the price I paid for the hotel room, I would have thought I was staying at a five-star hotel. From the moment I walked in, everybody greeted me by name. My room was located in the back facing the ocean. The hotel is located far from the main strip of restaurants and bars so you are limited on what...

I enjoyed a quiet, relaxing stay at Tribal Hills. The location of the resort is on a hill and the whole place is like a beautiful castle in the middle of the jungle of Mindoro. The views of the mountains and the sea are spectacular. The pool area is lovely, the staff considerate and friendly. You do want to experience this. It was beautiful.

I reeally like the hotel. I was expecting worse based from the other reviews but I was so surprised. The room was clean except for the drawers. The view was really nice and the staff really did their best to accomodate everything we need. The location was also good since it is very near the beach and the food stores. You can also watch the performances straight from th...
Cheap places to stay in Mindoro Oriental

I booked a room with AC. It says standard room with fan but room details indicates its with AC. I tried talking to the owner but she doesn't seem to have an idea. Windows has no screen so there's mosquitos. On my 9 days stay, room was cleaned once. Only brooming of the floor. Owners were very kind and entertaining. Also, the rooms are at the basement. Internet is upsta...

Relatively cheap if compare to other hotels with this standard. Considering its accommodating staffs towards guests, a comfy bed, a very clean swimming pool & working hot shower, this hotel in my opinion is one of the best place to stay that's worth the money in Puerto Galera. As we arrived and check-in at the reception, we were greeted with friendly & welcoming staf...

We booked a room for one night however, we weren't able to reach the last ferry from Batangas pier as we got stuck in traffic in Manila. We stayed at a nearby inn at the pier for the night and had to wait for the first boat trip in the morning and asked them if we could at least use up our remaining hours before checking out as we only need a place to leave our things....

I have stayed in Sabang on a number of occasions, but this is the first time at Villa Sabang. I was on a limited budget so I chose Villa Sabang because it supplied rooms with a kitchen and within my price range. The room was large and contained an AC, fan and a basic kitchen and refrigerator. Getting to the room involved climbing 75 steps (yes, I counted them!). This ...

Stay was good..nice room...clean..we booked this room at 2nd floor...it has gas stove...plates..cups..fridge except Microwave..so overall facilities are good.. What am disappointed is, though they mentioned its a free wifi but at 2nd floor no wifi signal...and when i asked them...they just say sorry which doesntdoesnt make sense...then youtheou shouldn't mention its ...

I like the cleanliness of the room. The sheets smelled nice. I like that it’s halfway between the beach and the highway so you get to see the best of both places. It’s far enough from the beach that you’re away from the chaos but close enough so you have your beach fix after a 5-min walk. I especially like the fact that there’s an aircon unit AND an electric fan. There...

We are an older couple who come to Sabang frequently. While we enjoy the busy town and it's bustling nightlife, we also enjoy a quiet place that lends itself to a good nights sleep. This place offers both at a fair price. This was our first time here and we are now planning to stay here each time we return to Sabang. Happy trails.

I arrived at Mountain Beach Resort for a much needed 4 days after Manila and the very touristy Taal Volcano. I loved my Nipa hut, within steps of the secluded Talapanon Beach and within walking distance of Aniuan Beach and the action of White Beach. There are 3 good value restaurants on the property,so no need to go far for authentic foods and great breakfasts. It is a...

Our stay at Bamboo House was the most stress-free vacation we'd had in years. It's a bit tricky to get to if coming from White Beach, as you'll need to take a trike that may not be able to manage the steep road that goes to the back of the resorts. But if you're coming by boat directly to Talipanan Beach, then the location is no problem :) Get the new rooms in the ann...

The family room had 3 beds which could technically fit 3 on each bed so the room can fit up to 9 people. There were 5 of us and the lady was very cordial and professional. She gave us 5 towels and toilet paper. We already bought those so it was nice to know that we had extra towels for our stay. We didn't expect the hotel to be so close to the beach (maybe less than 10...

We booked for jan. 3 to 6 but had to cut our stay short and checked out jan. 5. The front desk people were all courteous and helpful. The ambience in our room (3rd flr) was relaxing. Though we had to commute whenever we have to go somewhere or buy something it was ok because the trikes aren't hard to find. It would be nicer if the breakfast can be served earlier than 8...

I first stayed in palanggas last dec 2015 to celebrate my birthday which happens to be on xmas eve. Ms Mila was very accomodating and she gave me beach view room, since i'm travelling on a budget and we were 6 people, the room that she gave was very affordable and the view was really amazing. You can also cook in this hotel so i guess this is a plus point for family t...

I've stayed at this resort several times now and have stayed in several different rooms. I’ll attempt to give a thorough review on this resort in hopes that it will help future travelers make an informative decision. Sabang Inn is nice if you want to find an affordable room with a professional/polite staff. I could be mistaken but I believe all the rooms have air ...

It was a nice stay though. Just few minutes walk to the beach and you get what you paid for. Only disappointed by the room assigned because aircon wasn't working fine and some electronic outlets are busted. Bring your own towels because provided ones are not wet absorbent. But overall, overnight stay indeed was good!

I booked 5 rooms with me and my friends at the last min. When we got to the hotel everything was smooth and we were all in our rooms within 8 min. The rooms were clean and the aircon in my room was brand new. Next time I visit Mindoro I will stay at this hotel.

in my opinion villa fernandez is the best location for me in puerto galera - i love the serenity & away from the noise of busy town of sabang. i love their big balconies overlooking the water, friendly staff, very clean & spacious. the price is reasonable & affordable. on the otherhand, if your a backpacker & into pub crawling, i won't recommend the place. you nee...

The owner and the receptionist did not see my booking online even though it was already paid a week before the date of our arrival so when we arrived after a long tiring trip we were ask wait for they not aware nor prepared. I booked for a family room with 3 beds however since they didnt see my booking they gave it to others and instead the gave us the smaller one tha...

The place is at the other end of the beach, right side facing the land (left side facing the sea). It is near White Lodge. You can pass through White Lodge, the gates are open up until 9pm. Another route is just beside White Lodge, there is an alley going to Rexy's - a bit scary and dark way. Anyway, the locals are friendly and helpful, they are always willing to help ...

Rooms are old but clean. Had some trouble with the receptionist who might not be familiar with booking via agoda as she said that the amount I paid was for a single room only. I had to read out details in the voucher itself to prove my booking. Coffe shop was not available that time, but they offered flyers from fastfood restos nearby so we can call for delivery. Pleas...

This is the best hotel I’ve been to Puerto Galera. The location is beach front, very accessible. The hotel room is spacious, great deal for the price. It is cheap if you will look at how good the location and quality is. I appreciate the welcome drinks! Hotel staff are very nice. I left something important here and they kept it until someone picked it up for me. I love...

The food was like home-cooked and good especially the fries. The location is excellent and easy access to public transportation. The staff is extremely friendly with fast service. It helps that the owner lives in the adjacent building. My only complaint is that it does not have a hot shower.

Stayed in the VIP suite. It's brand new. Very nice. Private pool. Huge flat screen tv. Jacuzzi that wasn't working. Beautiful view from balcony with loungers and HUGE papasan chair. I stayed at this resort for a total of 6 nights after only planning on staying for 3. I have been traveling to and around the Philippines for the last 6 years and this new resort is definitely the nicest and best value you could find anywhere. The room is within Simon's Heritage Hotel, a partner of Zen Rooms in Puerto Galera. The staff are pleasant, friendly, and accommodating. We didn't like the room initially assigned to us and requested to be transferred to another and I appreciate that they even showed us the new room for us to check if it is to our preference. The accommodation comes with a free breakfa...

Together with my girlfriend we stayed in this place. We expected that the place was great but in our dismayed it was not. The place is only good if you want a place to rest and you want a cheaper room. There is no view outside the place. The rooms are not that big enough. Even though, it is just 5 minutes away from the town proper of Puerto Galera.

Loved our 4br unit —- very appropriate for big groups. Overall design was well thought out and very clean. Food at their restaurant was very good. We enjoyed their happy hour a lot too. Very accommodating to our small kids. Both the hotel and restaurant staff were very helpful and top notched. Probably the best service I’ve ever had in a long time. Some considera...

We had a relaxing stay at this resort - note this is not near the main Puerto Galera island. We booked online and was immediately contacted by Christine who gave us convenient options on how to reach the island. She arranged our van transport and boats. We also managed to leave on schedule despite an incoming storm through the help of Christine. The resort itself is ...

I want to write that the Manor really blew me away. The rooms are lovely. The family room i stayed in was really nice, it had everything that i needed. Queen sized bed and a living room area, probably comparable to the suite in the holiday inn i'm staying now at the los angelas. I've stay at the Capella,a 6 star hotel in singapore, sentosa and it seemed like a simpler v...

Situated in Sabang, El Galleon Dive Resort is definitely one of the best dive resorts in the area - and there is certainly no shortage of 'resorts' on offer . This resort was the only dive operation that has its own wharf making get...

for the price of a night in utopia we were blown away by the quality of the hotel, in particular the villa type rooms which surpassed all our hopes and expectations after three prior weeks of experiencing other hotels across the philippines. by far the best hotel of our trip, rooms were meticulously clean, and having worked in hotel managaement this isn't something i'l...

Buri Beach Resort and Spa was referred to us by a friend. Luxury hotels in Mindoro Oriental

I had the best time at Victoria bed and breakfast. The owners and staff was nice curious. They treated me like family Victoria made breakfast every morning all the food was delicious. On the top they have a bar and 2 pool tables and on Tuesday the have a tournament.

We arrived early, but room was ready and could enter. Facilities are great - just water pressure is not much but thats the same i experienced there in other hotels too. Television has 50plus channels, rooftop is great, so all you need is there. Owner is really helpful , and they invited us to an early birthday celebration too. Thanks to all, you made our trip the best ...

Our stay was really nice! The rooms felt like home away from home, it was so clean and spacious. The breakfast was also like it was served at home. Third floor is great for recreational activities like billiards and social drinking. Ms. Victoria and her husband were so welcoming and hospitable, they and their staff assisted us well during our stay and even with our tou...

This B&B is definitely one of the best lodgings that a person can go to if ever they plan to go to Puerto Galera. The owners and staff of the B&B are kind and courteous, the rooms are well furnished, and even if it’s not situated near the beach, it’s only 2 minutes away (walking distance)! Also, the breakfast is remarkable! If you’re planning to go drinking at night,...

What really stood out for us is the warm, accomodating and exceptional service of the owner herself and her staffs. They assisted us with our activities and tickets back to Manila. They have a beautiful roof deck with billiard tables, bars and comfy tables & chairs. Their foods are delicious, specially their longanisa, spaghetti & special lumpia! It was truly a wonderf...

Our stay the White House in PGYC was very memorable, the house was in excellent condition (minor issues with water but that was a Puerto Galera wide issue). The caretaker was very accommodating and helped guide us to the location via phone as it is located up a hill a little off of the main road so this was much appreciated. The friendly housekeeper came in everyday an...

During these months, travelers can expect sunny days, perfect for beach outings and outdoor activities. On the other hand, the wet season, which lasts from May to October, brings heavier rainfall and can lead to occasional typhoons. While some travelers might shy away from visiting during this time, the lush landscapes and fewer crowds can provide a unique experience. The waterfalls are especially stunning during the rainy season, and the vibrant greenery adds to the region's charm.
