Where to stay in Fukui Prefecture
Fukui Prefecture hotels & accommodations
The hotel is quite close to the train station (JR Fukui st.), about 10 min on foot. Walked to the hotel using Google maps on the Iphone. Perhaps you may want to put some signboards along the way to make the visitors find your hotel easily, since it isn't on the main road. The size of the room is a bit small for the money that we had to pay, but considering the location...
This hotel is far from the train/bus station, if you have planned to go any POIs in Fukui by train, you need to walk 15min to catch a bus to train station. At first, I have to call for a cab because I wasn't sure my exact location. Cab is uncommon near hotel area. It took 30min of bus to reach Fukui Station, unless you rent a car, else please look for other places. Bes...
Near fukui station and lots of food nearby
The customer service provided by the hotel is excellent! During our stay, we found that we have left something in a local restaurant. As we don't know Japanese, we need to seek help from the hotel. The receptionists have been very helpful and have done all they can do to help us, including calling the police, the restaurant, and arranging the the transfer of our stuf...
I stayed here to catch the ferry to Akita the following morning. Cost performance very good. Location easy to find, parking no problem. Very close to all shops convenience store, eateries, bar with good selection etc. Room very good. If they had curtains that shut out the morning sun it would be perfect.
This hotel was perfect for our visit to Tsuruga. Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff, and beautiful decor. Although small, the room was comfortable and well appointed. I highly recommend.
the hotel setup is really relaxing. onsen is good. room is big too.. pity that the hotel can't serve food due to revamping of their kitchen facility during our stay. but it's not a big issue as there are many restaurants and izakayas around the hotel. the hotel is also near the train station. will recommend to friends.
The location of this hotel is excellent. It's right next to the Echizen Railway Station and within 2 minutes from JR Fukui. It's also less than 3 minutes from the bus stop so it's perfect if you're coming by the Hokuriku bus. The rooms were clean and the single room was bigger than your average Japanese sized rooms. I highly recommend staying at this hotel if you are v...
It had a large car park (and it was free of charge) and you basically do not need to worry about the parking space. The hotel looks a bit aged inside and yet it was clean and having a independent air conditioner in the room which was a plus.
we were booking our trip last minute, and this was a great find! the room was huge with the tatami area, 2 huge beds and 2 sofas, it was fantastic. there was even space for us to do a bit of cooking if we wanted, but we didn't this time. the hotel is five minutes walk from Fukui station, and next to Toyota Rent a Car, which was convenient as we rented a car there for o...
Only had smoking room left, but didn’t really notice it after 30 mins... slightly more spacious than other more expensive hotels. robes are very comfortable!!
We arrived in Sabae Friday evening by car. Just for sleep over night. We found some hotels beside highway, they wantf to charge like parking, was very expensive! I checked this hotel by Internet , was very glad to stay.
The staff are very friendly and helpful, especially those on night shift at front desk, and the staff at restaurant in.breakfast time. The locat ion is good, even I arrived at the train station nearby after 22:00, still feel safe to walk to the hotel and check in.
Great location as it is walking distance to Fukui Station. Staffs are also extremely friendly; I'm not the most interesting person to talk to but I was always greeted every morning and when I return at night and also had talks about what's good around Fukui like they genuinely want you to enjoy your stay from the bottom of their hearts. The guesthouse itself is small w...
This hotel is located in the country side so if you are not driving, it is not very convenient. Early morning u can see school children walking across the padi fields going to school. It’s a very heart warming sight. The outdoor onsen is also quite spacious compared to some others I have been to. Friendly staff too! Overall nice experience for my husband and I!
Everything is perfect
Good place to travel from the Station for some Day trips around fukui.
Great value for money overall. The rooms are small but are expected considering it's low price. Location is great as it is only within 10 minutes walk from train station. The staffs are great too when greet you whenever they see you. There were some hiccup during the check-in but the staff handled the situation professionally and we managed to check in without any is...
arrived at check in time and welcomed by staffs who are panicked to know that i may not be able to communicate well. a lady staff actually speaks decent english for us to understand complicated words. location pretty convenient. you can take the bus from awara onsen station bus stop no.2 (buy the 2 day pass for the bus from tourist information) and drop off at 1 statio...
Wonderful stay!! Been going there since I was a child, but lapsed for about 20 years; finally made it back with my husband to visit the nearby temple. The rooms are not fancy, but they had definitely been upgraded and we loved our stay. The bath is traditional - a must do as it completely relaxes you. Food was great, though we did not reserve dinner unfortunately. The ...
It will be good experience if they can provide delicious dinner
I realy like the city and Hotel Fukui Castel was very good for relaxing,my room was excellent with nice vews from the castle. The only thing only japan channels on TV
The interesting room amazed me.Everything was good.better than best. Recommanded.
It's better to have shuttle bus to from 福井駅/Hotel
Friendly and helpful staff, impressive dinner and breakfast, love the in-room open-air bath, bedroom slightly dark as not much light was installed
Clean room, tasty meal and an onsen with the view of the sea
Wow... the location is quite far and deep. Definitely recommended to reach there before sunset. We were glad we had the tourist center assistant to help us call them up to get the hotel staff to pick us up from the station. The bath and structure are amazing. No elevator from room to bathing place. Nice view since you feel like you are in some countryside. Love the pla...
Near the beach but far away from station. Japan's breakfast is good and enough.
I stopped off here on a business trip. I had a large tatami room to myself and enjoyed the onsen (hot spring). The hotel actually has about 4 or 5 different styles onsen baths. If you want a traditional Japanese experience at a reasonable price then I thoroughly recommend. The hotel has a slightly dated feel to it which adds to the charm. Nearby there were a couple of...
Owner is nice and offers breakfast which saves you another 500 yen. He also gave me a lift to the station. Unfortunately, the location is actually a bit off and although I've read about him providing his services as a guide, he didn't say anything about it to me. Futons were really thin and the heating was quite poor. Do take note that the bathroom has no doors for th...
