Davao del Sur hotels & places to stay

I have stayed at several other hotels in Davao and will now only patron this hotel. The staff is the best in the city. THe food is excellant. The service is to be commended. The hotel offers a secure private atmosphere and the staff and hotel will work with the client to provide every need wanted. Room service is provided 24hrs a day. So is laundry service. Several different restaurants to choose from and service like no other in the city. From the Insular you can enjoy Island Hopping or relaxing at the Pirate Bar. Then enjoy live music in the Vinta Bar.

My stay in Apo View Hotel located at the city center of Davao was a great pleasure for me. I have made the right decision to chosed this hotel inspite the room rate but it's worth it. Safety measures has been practiced from the time i arrived in the hotel till i left. Hotel staff were all smiling, accomodating, never you gonna feel that you are stranger on that place. Hospitality is the best selling point of the hotel coming from the natives of Davao's. All parts of the hotel were cleaned and properly arranged especially the room itself. And given a chance that i'll be back in Davao, i don't have the second thought of cosing Apo View Hotel again.....Thank you much guyz...job well done....

We stayed in all the major hotels in Davao on this trip and Seda Abreeza was head and shoulders above the rest. It felt like home in Davao and I have no complaints, which is rare. This is simply a great hotel run by exceptional staff for what must be a company of excellence that manages the hotel. The breakfast buffet was always top notch, with friendly servers and great food. The doormen went out of their way to provide the best service. The pool and recreation areas were clean and pleasant places to relax with the family. All the shopping, food and entertainment one could want at the Abeeza mall across the street. Its the best, safest, cleanest hotel in Davao by a far.

Quite far away from downtown Davao, but worthwhile to stay there if you are a smoker. Davao seems to the worst anti-smoking place in the Philippines. Upon arrival at the airport i wanted to smoke outside the airport building, but I was immediately "attacked" by 2 ladies in uniform, informing me that smoking was strictly forbidden everywhere around the airport. And That continued nearly everywhere in Davao. Lovely hotel frequented by expats.

pinnacle hotel was situated in a very convenient location in davao. taxis were abundant and the staff were just great! our favorite hotel in davao was the marco polo but it was not available and so, we opted to try pinnacle. the bed, the ambiance, the room amenities and the view were definitely not as good as marco polo but the price difference made up for the lack of these. the service though, was a lot better than marco polo! definitely value for money in this hotel!my husband and i have discovered a new place in davao and will definitely be switching to this hotel in our future stays.

After trying many hotels in Davao City I would say that the Grand Regal Hotel is the best hotel for me. Never mine Abreeza or Radisson they are in another class of hotels. But for the P 2,000 - P 4,000.00 range I would say that this hotel is value for money due to its large rooms, fairly good breakfast, location (in the middle of the busy JP Laurel Avenue), close to good restaurants and SM Lanang Mall. Would help if you renovate the pool, arrange a new band and light up the hotel a little more from the outside to attract more visitors.

I booked my stay around Kadayawan Festival Week. Extremely busy but I booked it ahead so it was a very good value for my money. Myself and my 2 teenage children shared the room although it was extremely small for 3 of us, yet we managed to organize our stuff around the room. Easier after staying in a much smaller room in Singapore. Beds and linens are in best form. Air conditioning system is excellent. Shower and toilet facilities are fully functional. No problem with plumbing system, as seen in most older hotels in Davao. The place is convenient for us with families living around the area. Easy exits Via Damosa-Buhangin-Airport Route and via Dumanlas if you want to avoid the traffic in J.P. Laureal Ave to go to downtown area. Family and friends enjoyed the Pthoto session in the lobby. Great to meet up and go and explore. Pleasant breakfast restaurant downstairs which could get too busy and have to wait a while to get a seat. Robinson's grocery shop next door was handy to pick up drinks and snacks, salad and fruit. Short taxi ride to SM Lanang, to Samal Island pump boat terminal, jeepneys to Abreeza and downtown. Will consider to stay in this hotel every time I come home to Davao. I have read previous reviews so I know what to expect from this property.

My family enjoyed our stay at Park Inn by Radisson Davao. Since my wife is from a city just outside of Davao City, we usually book a hotel in Davao City for the Christmas Holidays due to the amount of Christmas parties we have to attend in Davao city. Saves us the long drive given the distances and the newly implemented speed limit in Davao. We weren't expecting much given the price especially since we've stayed in the other hotels in Davao city so we were pleasantly surprised with the hotel. Nice spacious rooms. Very clean and well maintain at par with standard business geared hotels, which isn't surprising given that its newly opened vs. the other hotels in the city. Its connected to the SM Premier Lanang Mall via a short bridge which makes shopping very convenient. Free wifi was also provided, which is a must with my family and our devices. Check-in could be handled better since the staff takes quite a while to process each guest and there were only 2 on duty at any given time. Parking could be improved by adding a shaded walkway between the hotel and parking area - no valet is provided by the way. Nonetheless, an overall pleasant experience with Park Inn.

this is certainly a wonderful experience for us. we enjoyed our stay there. the resort itself is a tourist attraction in Davao Del Norte. if you want to get rid of city life and wanted a peaceful environment for relaxation and pampering this resort is certainly fits for you. you should try their wellness spa. massage in the forest with artificial falls. we enjoyed the food. buffet breakfast, buffet lunch and buffet diner so amazing. juices and fruits are all freshly harvested in the island. the rooms are great, samal is technically in the water shorelines. the manadaya are huge room. good for family.the staffs were all great, very accomodating, friendly, courteous and helpful and respectful. the facilities are also great. everything is free for all.

Very good value for money especially for the size, room has no windows though. Location is very good for tourism, close to People's Park and Pasalubong Center (you can leisurely walk to and from these spots). It is also close to the terminal station going to Philippine Eagle Center and Malagos Resort. Area is 1.2km from Lachi's restaurant, so you can easily walk for lunch. The Room is very good for tourism purposes within Davao City, however if you're looking for a business trip you might want to look at Apo View and Marco Polo for more ameneties. If you're looking to add a Samal day tour, the port is rather far from the hotel so you either have to do an overnight stay in Samal or wake up very early. The hotel also offers to keep your valuables safe even after checkout so you can tour the city, if you have an evening flight, without having to carry around your belongings (Very useful if you're planning to maximize your stay in Davao)

If you research this hotel, there are some bad reviews. My experience was very positive. I only stayed at the hotel one night but it was a very good night. The staff has been constantly the number one complaint in all the reviews. So I went to the hotel with smile on my face and positive attitude and that's the same response I got back from them. I think it's the attitude of the guest that ignites the bad experience with any staff. The hotel itself is a beautiful gem tucked away in the greens of the island. It's like the hotel was built around the trees....very cool. The pool is awesome. The beach is small but in high tide is very nice to swim in. I only stayed one night and the food we got was great. The fried chicken was perfect! Helpful tip, when booking this hotel, arrange transport in advance with the hotel so you can get a transport from Davao at the Watergront Hotel. Much better than taking the Ferry.

Very pleasant good breakfast with buffet or menu meals .room was clean and tidy but air conditin poor and old .TV. but you don't stay in room all day.i found the hotel better than others and cheaper to. For the money you can't fault it.nice place to stay for anyone. It was a very pleasant stay. I advise anyone to book this hotel in this price range you won't do better. Very many places to eat just outside.I stayed at many hotels in Davao and I think this is the best value hotel to stay in. Thank you to all the staff.

I got a room for two nights in this hotel. At the price I got, this is probably the best hotel in Davao in terms of value for money. They staff were nice, the room and furniture new and clean, and most of all, the toilet was nice. There was nothing special (there was not even a bath tub), but the toilet and bathroom was clean, the towels smelled nice, and the staff gave me a dental kit, when I asked for one. Breakfast is served at the cafe in the ground floor. Breakfast was good, and the cafe has free wifi. It was, overall, a nice stay. I would definitely stay in this hotel again if I'm able to get the same discounted price.

I love Microtel Davao becauseof its hospitality spirit among the people working there. All from security guards to cleaning boys were extremeley polite and nice. The best point of the hotel is its location. So you can feel the colors of Davao even without lot of moving around, nice restaurants around, junkie food also or Filipino snacks. My favorite actually was a Vietnamese that we tried fried crab and duck both of them superb. I think is an excellent choice for its money if tehy had more amenities it could easily upgrade to 4-5 stars. Thanks for your hospitality. Georgios and Panos GREECE

Hello! I highly recommend this hotel in Davao city. The staff are friendly and will give you the best service possible. The room is clean as well as the bathroom. My accommodation includes buffet breakfast and I'm giving the breakfast food selections 5 stars. Few things that can be improved is their hot shower, please have it checked because your guests will highly favored hot showers in the evening after a long tiring day. The bathroom includes a bath tub which needed to have another look specifically the water stopper because it wasn't really working well. I would have wanted to enjoy a hot tub but I couldn't save water. I didn't bother to call and have it fix during my stay as I was already tired to wait for someone to take a look at it -- so this is for your future guests. Overall, it's worth the money staying at TRMH. Thank you.

When i go back to Davao, i am certainly going back to they hotel. The Executive Suite was perfect for my fiance and I. We had a great kitchen and large room because it was two floor. The location was perfect. The hotel was just outside downtown and close to the airport. In my opinion it was the perfect location. The people who work for them were very nice and accommodating to us. Hopefully i will see those faces again when i return to Davao. I really did enjoy my stay there!

My friend and I went for a mountain climbing in Bukidnon after 4 days in the mountain we are so tired and are so looking forward to stay in a nice place.. upon checking online we found a nice deal from Agoda and manage to book it right away on the same day.. The Hotel is in perfect Location, near to restaurants and shops, as well as not far from Davao airport. The Staff is the best! very helpful and accommodating. The Bedroom is very clean, Beds are so comfortable and the size of the room is really good. Breakfast is included in the price and it was a good Buffet with fresh fruits.. Over all we Love the place. And we will com back for more!

Proximity is great, at first akala ko baka malayo sa center pero very accessible pala sya.. tatawid ka lang andyan na lahat ng kailangan mo.. ang ganda ng mga rooms pati bathroom.. super linis ng pool, yung tubig sa pool continuous sya kaya nag oover flow..talagang ang linis.. pati surroundings para kang wala sa city.. ang daming halaman at puno.. may designated area din para sa mga smokers.. ang ganda pa ng smoking area.. ang babait ng mga staff, very accomodating.. i highly recommend this place.. wag kayo magpapadala sa mga ibang over rated na hotels sa davao.. kung magpunta kayo sa davao, dito kayo mag stay.. promise babalikan nyo to..

although kind of pricey compared to other hotels in davao, ultimately the price is well worth it. the location entrance is just beside grand regal hotel, but is better due to quiet and clean surroundings. every floor has its own purified water dispenser, and the staff diligently refills the water station. extremely satisfied with the king size bed, compared to other hotel's small queen size matrimony bed, tropika's king size bed was heaven, my wife and my son together with me slept soundly due to the generous sized bed. complimentary wifi was not working during the night i stayed, but did not bother to contact front desk to have it fixed, used the complimentary wifi in the cafe in the morning instead. the included breakfast was superb, the usual cheap powdered juice drink served in other hotels was not present, instead they serve real blended fruit juice which is very very nice. a very relaxing stay, will surely go back in the future.

◘It was my husband who booked the trip for me by browsing the hotels in Davao ◘Since i like Zen inspired rooms, on top of the affordable cost, he immediately booked the room for me when I was still a boarding the plane. ◘Went there in the evening and the very first thing that captured by attention is how friendly their staffs are. I tried to converse in the native language but they still smiles and converse in Tagalog. ◘The room is clean and confe, new design, Flat screen TVs, Hot and cold is really hot and cold. ◘Ideal for short stay travel.

My partner and I stayed at Hof Gorei (www.hofgorei-resortdavao.com), Samal Island for 4 nites/5 days. For the first night, we stayed at one of the Round Huts, which are small, private, and charming. For the next 3 nites, we stayed at the amazing Pinzgau Chalet, which is located on the top of the resort and has large rooms and best views of the Davao Gulf and Mt Apo National Park. All rooms have a great low price, too. As a biologist and teacher, I love interacting and learning about nature. At the resort, they have beautiful gardens, cool tropical animals, and a lovely beach. I went scuba diving in the gulf seeing many corals and fish and thoroughly enjoyed it despite the highest cost I paid for diving in the Philippines. We took the Samal Island tour, which included touring the largest colony of fruit bats (about 2.3 million), swimming in Hagimit Falls and Nature Park, and taking the exciting ride down the waterslide at Maxima Aquafun. All activities are reasonably priced, but have a 10% service charge. We ate the resort's delicious meals at the Gorei Terrace, Stone hut (private), and the Pinzgao chalet (private). There's also dining in your room, on the beach and by the pool. We also had drinks at the Sepp bar in the lush garden. All meals were made to order, very good, expensive and had a 10% service charge. Throughout our entire stay, we had a butler, Moman, who took good care of us, got our meals, took our photos, arranged our activities and transportation. It was our first experience with butler service and Moman was perfect. He took care of all our requests with enthusiasm and charm and even anticipated our needs. The owner/host is April, who amused us with her stories, amazed us with her resort, and made sure our stay was wonderful and rated 5 stars! I've been to Davao, Mt Apo, and Samal Island, but at Hof Gorei, I experienced the charm and grace of its people, natural beauty, breath-taking views, and both lively fun and blissful peace.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room is big and clean. The bathroom is okay. The pool is okay but can be renovated or needs re-design to attract more travellers. Even the front and side view of the Hotel exterior needs renovation and re-design. The buffet breakfast is great. And the hotel staff even the guards are all helpful and polite. Although I think we paid a little higher than the average prices of the hotels in Davao, I think it's worth it and I will recommend this to my friends, and even go back to this hotel in the future :)

Organising the trip we were not sure if the park would be so good that it would be worth traveling there from Davao. I'm glad we decided to stay there overnight and experienced all of their activities! My adventures highlight was the 4km mountin trail and I was happy about the very friendly and supportive staff. Because of the big area and many activities it took us almost one hole day to experience everything but we enjoyed everything. The clean, fresh air and the great organic self-grown food, the big room, ... Salamat po!, highly recommended for adventures people who enjoy a great day off in the nature and nice facilities from Eden Nature Park!

I was originall going to book this Hotel but due to the previous reviews i changed my mind. I came and checked it out whilst i was staying elsewhere. For the price you will be hard pushed to find a better hotel in Davao. Its new and clean. The staff are great once they get to know you. My room faced the street which is busy but quietens down after 10pm. I think they are short staffed so they ask you to tell reception when you want your room cleaning. For the budget conscious they have fan rooms not advertised which i changed too for $10 a night for a double it is a shared bathroom which has about 5 showers but hey well worth it.still have wifi just no tv
