"If you are traveling, and would only want to stay in your hotel room to take a shower and rest, then this place is good for you. The room is clean and tidy, the floor was well-mopped, and the rest room and toilet was very clean, no molds and no smell. The room is very small that it fits a one double sized bed, and a small table. Only good for resting after a busy day. It has a tv, wifi and an aircon that functions well and is clean. The rest room was amazingly spacious. The walls are so thin. You can hear your neighbor next door, and people talking in the hall. The location is also in a highway, so you can hear jeepneys outside. If you are a light sleeper. They provide a small bottle of shampoo, couple of toothbrush, soap, toilet paper and a towel. Bring a slipper if you are feet conscious, because they don’t provide. Also, there’s no trashcan in the hotel. Overall, five star for having clean rooms and toilets! I hope your staffs cleaning other rooms could be more quieter, because we can hear everything. "

Their Themed Rooms are Very Cool if you are a STAR TREK Fan. There are many Shops, Markets, and Fast Food and Sit down Restaurants in walking distance. Very easy to get around this part of Manila with Jeepneys, Trikes, Cabs, and the LRT right outside the front door of this Hotel. Great Value for the Money. Highly Recommended....."

"Before I made my booking and reservation at Hotel Sogo, I red about the comments first of those who had already stayed and experienced the hotel for any ideas and the probability of looking for another better hotel. Many are worst few are goods, but still I booked because it is one of the most convenient and closest to university belt. First, you have to book or reserve before making an arrival to Hotel Sogo to avoid long line of customers waiting for available rooms. It may take hours or even half day just waiting and we don't like that do we. Hotel Sogo is in demand specially to students taking board exam. Second, book for comfort. Some comments says they hear unnecessary noises coming from other rooms or obscene view in the hallway. I had booked for deluxe room for my sister and I , a few bucks higher to premium room rates, but the space and comfort it provides are especially needed. Third, of course hotels have flaws and Hotel Sogo is not an exception. The food sucks and pricey based on taste. Fast food chains and restos are near the vicinity so no problem with that. A little problem with the shower and faucet, but maintenance can solve that problem real fast and service is quite efficient, aircon is in the minimum you cannot adjust the coolness. "

"I was looking for a place near Quiapo that time (Manila) because I had my board exams for 3 days which was situated in Manila. So I opted this hotel because it was cheap and just one ride away from the school. The staffs are very accommodating and the place is clean. Though going to the place from Quiapo is kinda crowded and smelly."
