Beautiful gardens, great location, friendly staff”
We chose to stay at Puri Kelapa Garden Cottages on our first night in Bali as we came in on a late flight and Sanur is not that far from the airport. We had asked for a airport transfer when booking the room through Agoda but there was no-one to pick us up so we caught a taxi by buying a ticket from the taxi vendor outside (often much cheaper than the haggler drivers it is to the right when you come outside the airport doors). When we arrived at Puri Kelapa Garden Cottages it felt as though they were not aware of our booking and when I handed over the Agoda print out they organised a room no worries - a nice bungalow style room which was clean enough. The restaurant served a fantastic breakfast and staying here was a lovely way to start our holiday. Overall very friendly staff and a great convenient location close to the main streets and the beach.

Budget Surprise!”
We stayed only two nights here, whilst visiting Sanur. This was our first visit to Bali and staying here was a gentle way to be introduced to the hussle and bussle of the Bali way of travel. Puri Kelapa was budget but what a lovely surprise. The gardens were beautiful and we didnt have any problems what so ever. The reception staff even helped us book a couple of tours in our next location. Lovely but basic room, no TV, but we didnt care about that, we werent in Bali to watch TV! I would definately be recommending Puri Kelapa to anyone heading over to Bali.

Quiet location in tropical gardens, old Bali charm”
This is the second time we have stayed at the Puri Kelapa Garden Cottages. The staff are wonderful, nothing is too much trouble. Close to beach and Sanur area. The hotel has the old character of Bali with tropical gardens and pool area.

Excellent location to relax near Sanur beach”
I stayed at Puri Kelapa on my last two days in Bali and enjoyed chilling out at their pool, garden and seating area in front of my bungalow. I cannot judge the price/quality ratio because it was my only "fancy" accommodation during my stay in Bali, the others being small guesthouses. However i was very satisfied with what i got. Clean spacious room, perfectly efficient air con, fast and stable wi fi in room and pool area. Pool has a small bar so you can enjoy a cool beer in the water or on one of the sun beds. Breakfast was served in the attached restaurant. Simple but good, the classic balinese banana pancake being a constant of my Bali mornings. 300 meters from the beach where there s an endless choice of beach restaurants and bars.

Puri Kelapa Garden Cottages provided us with exactly the type of accommodation we were looking for. Absolutely the best value we have ever experienced in all our travels throughout Asia. My husband and I stayed in Puri Kelapa for 8 nights, we had a great time. The hotel gardens are beautiful. The hotel is very relaxed and quiet. The pool area with pool bar is lovely and the hotel is within a short walk to the beach. Rooms were serviced daily without fail. Rooms could be described as slightly dated and towels could do with updating though this was no problem for us as we feel that the hotel is great value for money. Staff members are helpful and friendly. There are restaurants and bars within walking distance and for 10-20rp you can get a taxi further into Sanur for more choice. Massismo restaurant and Casablanca bar recommended. Overall lovely hotel, great price and peaceful atmosphere.

Great Location and Lovely Grounds”
i would recommend the puri kelapa garden cottages for a short stay in sanur. rooms were spacious and simple. the swimming pool is great with plenty of sun beds surrounding it. 5 minute walk to beach and local bars and restaurants. unlike other similar priced accommodations, the puri kelapa garden cottages does not offer free wifi which travellers may find useful when trying to find their way around.

a lovely oasis of tranquility in grotty sanur”
Came to Bali on a whim expecting tropical paradise. Found overpopulated, polluted mass tourism with dirty beaches full of street hawkers. Thank god we booked puri kelapa for a few days, its in beautiful gardens with an awesome pool, fantastic rooms, super comfy beds and complete peace (until you step outside the hotel). If you have to see southern Bali then definitely stay here, if not then do yourself a favour and head north to padang bai or lovina

i love puri kelapa garden cottages.its my second stay here & i will definitely stay again.it's location is so central to the markets,restaurants,beach & the street shops,they are all within easy walking distance.sanur is such a great place & is a good place to start or finish your holiday as it is not to far from the airport.can't wait to go back.

Old school Bali”
I enjoy Puri Kelapa for it's "old school feel." If you are looking for a tropical hideaway with friendly staff, beautiful gardens, and great access to the beach Puri Kelapa is for you. The design for some may seem out of date but if you are looking for a true Bali feel Puri Kelapa is great - bamboo headboards, great balconies in room, and excellent breakfast! I stayed here 10 years ago and would stay here again 10 years into the future to experience the same charm that Bali had the first time I visited.

Beautiful Traditional Balinese Hotel”
Had to overnight and the first time staying in Sanur, I have a liking for traditional Balinese hotels so booked into Puri Kelepa. A natural garden setting with the bungalows and pool spread through out, you can actually get lost wandering from your bungalow to breakfast. Comfortable bed, aircon, tv, clean good sized bathroom, great restaurant and very much affordable. It's approx 250mt from the beach with plenty of other eating and beachside bar options Will I stay here again.....Yes!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Puri Kelapa Garden Cottages. It is perfectly located and is close to the beach, markets and restaurants. Despite its central location, the surroundings are quiet and relaxing. The cottages are clean and comfortable, and the gardens are beautiful and well maintained.

Quiet hotel in tropical paradise garden”
Staying here was the best choice I could have made. The hotel, consisting of cottages and some 2-storey buildings with spacious rooms, offers all you need for a holiday in Sanur, Bali. It is situated on a quiet street leading to the beach and the beach-side restaurants - just a 5 minutes' walk away. Far away from the bustle of the bigger hotels and therefore not too many tourists around. The nearby beach is crowded (but not overcrowded!) by the local people during weekends, which is nice to look at.

Puri Kelapa Garden Cottages is a lovely place to stay. Nice friendly staff and good central location for massage, shopping, night life and retaurants. The beach is only a short walk from the hotel and it is a good stop-over for getting the boat to other destinations- Lombok, Gilli Islands and Nusa Lembongan Island.

The whole garden smells like frangipani flowers”
* Overall I was very comfortable staying here. It was good value for money. The points below are a bit picky but nonetheless might help some people. * Clean rooms, linen changed every day, new water bottles every day * Clean gardens. Staff work tirelessly to keep them neat & pick up dead leaves & flowers that drop off the abundant trees. * Many more "rooms" than there are "cottages" now. * Helpful & friendly staff * Can have food/drinks brought to the pool area * Warm pool water, nice pool * The room was slightly musty when we first entered but didn't notice the smell any other time except for our first entrance. I think the air con helped fix it. * Small bathroom windows in some of the bathrooms - our bathroom needed an exhaust fan * Need hooks or towel rails in the bathroom * Beds inner-spring, firm-ish, comfy. We had a twin room & the beds were 3/4 size - not quite as big as a double but bigger than king single. Pillows were comfy. * Mostly random Dutch people were staying there & having a good time conversing in Dutch around the pool & it was therefore a bit lonely / hard to meet people. * There is no "smoking" or "non-smoking" area. The smoke from the balcony next door came under our door and woke us up at 6:30am. People smoked all around the pool & wherever they liked in the restaurant. I don't think in a place like Bali the hotel has much they can do about this, but with very small blocks of four rooms perhaps at least one could be for non-smokers. * One of the masseuses at the pool is not good - she digs in with one finger at a time & it hurts. Not worth the money. * If you order boiled eggs, order them as hard. I ordered medium & they were under cooked (not even soft). The porridge is salty rice porridge.

We always come back to Puri Kelapa. Even booking somewhere different for a change, we chucked it in and went back to Puri Kelapa. Mama and the crew are always friendly and willing to help. My family has grown up there and they always welcome us HOME...

Peaceful cottages, very friendly staff”
Cottage rooms are located within very beautiful gardens with a variety of trees, some planted by guests themselves. Nice pool with a fun baby pool for the little ones. Breakfast was ok. 4 choices on the menu. Staff was very friendly, always smiling and helpful. Wifi was weak but usable. Rooms were a little on the small side. Complex has nice paths to walk around the gardens. Right next to the pool there is a massage salon which seemed very nice but we didn't try it as it was quite expensive. Just outside the hotel there were more reasonably priced massage centers. Very close to the beach at a nice location with many touristic beach restaurants.

This is a beautiful hotel close to everything in Sanur. The staff were excellent and the food great. The lovely pool is located in the beautiful garden. The cottages are large and clean. Will always stay here on our return visits to Sanur.

Bali at its best”
This hotel is set in beautiful grounds with the rooms set around the gardens, 2 storey buildings. Large open veranda for meals, breakfast was good. Sanur beach is literally a few minutes walk round a quiet road, in the other direction there are "Bali" buses and taxi stand. Good pool and the staff were exceptionally friendly

Recommended Sunar hotel”
I'd recommend these very pretty cottages. The rooms are spotless, comfortable and airy with good quiet aircon. The cottages are surrounded by stunning gardens and there is a good sized pool deep enough for adults but with a shallow end for the children to play in. Plenty of places to lounge about in the grounds too. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We could only stay for 3 days but would recommend for a longer visit too. Takes about 5 mins slow stroll to the beach - or use one of the hotel bicyles to cycle on the quiet road.
