I liked my stay. Room was big (had a junior suite) and clean. Gym was OK (only me at the cable station and anothetr guy at the bike), poolside is chill, breakfast was good, staff are pleasant. Location is good (safe and convenient). Biggest downside is the loud/pulsating daily music from the next door establishment, so you really can't sleep before it ends at midnight. Also I had a junior suite but there was an aircon unit in it (for a suite?) that made loud sounds.

We moved to the katari unexpectedly and loved it. The atmosphere was very welcoming. The staff were incredibly helpful. Our room was spacious, very comfortable, the bed was amazing, very clean and had everything we wanted. The pool was beautiful, so great for relaxing round after sightseeing. Excellent food from the sky bar. Didnt try the massage facilities this time. The location was perfect, close to everything and always a friendly tuk tuk driver waiting All in all a wonderful stay. No downsides. Thank you to all at the katari.

Good hotel with a nice view”
The staffs are very kind and accommodating. The room is spacious and has a desk. Good for both working and chilling. The view gets really nice in the evening. Just beware that there's a cafe right next to the hotel and they sometimes play live music almost until midnight. You can also watch sunrise through the windows.

No problem with price and location”
I stayed in BKK1 this time and it was very convenient to move around to nearby destinations by tuk-tuk. The breakfast was also satisfying.

Prime location and clean place”
Very good location - there’s Brown cafe & Starbucks which are less than 3mins walk away. Tube cafe just only across the street. Two 24/7 supermarkets (In & Out and Super Duper) to get stuff you need. Mok Mony, a famous restaurant, is just beside the hotel. Then there is Malis, another famous restaurant, just few metres away. Closeby to many hipster cafes/restaurants as the hotel area is BKK1 - either take a TukTuk (many hunting outside the hotel), book a TukTuk via Grab (which is far better as it’s cheaper!) or walk using maps. I walked a lot during my trip to cafes, markets and shopping malls. It’s a nice way to see the locals and absorb the city! Weather is blasting hot but not humid!! The staffs at the 3rd level for breakfast buffet aren’t really friendly nor approachable except a manager(?) wearing a suit he was nice. was it because i’m a solo traveller.....? but lobby reception staffs were overall decent and friendly. all in all, would return to this hotel for the prime location & cleanliness!

Really good service, and good value for the money. Everything was kept really clean. Breakfast was good, the staff were very friendly and helpful. There was some loud construction noise outside, and the staff upgraded us to the other side of the hotel, where we couldn’t hear it, and didn’t charge us any extra! Great views from the pool area, and the location was excellent - many restaurants and bars, etc. , were very close, and the markets and malls were not far (2 - 4$ in a Tuk Tuk). Plenty of taxis and Tuk Tuks around, and the hotel staff were good at getting one to take you anywhere around Phnom Penh. They could also arrange tours from the hotel. If we ever returned to Phnom Penh, I would rebook this hotel without a doubt.

Place was nice but.....”
The hotel was nice but I had an issue with ants after a bowl of almond milk was in the trash ready to be taken out. The cleaning crew came once to take care of the issue and within 7 mins the ants were back. The cleaning crew came back and this time sprayed the room so heavily that I just asked to change rooms. Besides that most of the hotel was closed off but breakfast was delivered to your room and it was one of the best breakfasts I have ever had. Great options and choices. Hotel was clean and staff was great I would definitely stay again!
