This hotel impressed guests with its excellent and friendly staff, who made their stay warm and welcoming. The spacious room was clean and had a wonderful view of the surroundings. The gym and sauna were great facilities that left guests feeling pampered and satisfied. Overall, guests highly recommend this hotel and had a wonderful stay.
Few guests mentioned closed facilities (spa, karaoke, pool bar) during their stay. Some noted the pool had chlorine smell and needed cleaning.

Had a fantastic stay at DeLaSea hotel. Breakfast was great, they looked after our luggage while we were on our Halong Bay cruise. Our room was magnificent with a wraparound balcony terrace and the most amazing views of the city and the bay. The staff were lovely. Checking in and checking out was a dream. Special thanks to Anh at guest relations/ check-in reception area. He was helpful, friendly and professional. A credit to the hotel and his company. DeLaSea is a quick grab or taxi ride to the town centre for lots of restaurants and shopping. However there's a night market for some shopping over the road and several little restaurants, minimarts and massage/nail/hairspa places close by within walking distance- check it out on Google maps. Red Coral Indian restaurant looked great but we never got a chance to eat there due to pre-planned activities. The hotel also has a restaurant and room service, again we didn't get a chance to try due to time constraints. The location was actually great for us, a little bit quieter area but still with everything we needed. If you're staying in Halong Bay/ Bai Chay area I would also suggest you do the double decker bus tour and the cable car and Sun wheel. It was really good to get a better perspective of the city. I also suggest you strongly consider this hotel if you want luxury accomodation, friendly service in a relaxing and charming location.

The room is clean. The staff is enthusiastic. The view is beautiful. The breakfast buffet is good, but the staff at the drink station had quite an attitude towards me. If you can't handle the job, then don't take it out on the customers. Furthermore, it's a 5-star hotel, but when we arrived, only the bellman came out to carry our bags, and there was no one else and no welcome drink. It's very neglectful.

Spent our honeymoon at DeLaSea hotel and had a pleasant stay. The staff were friendly, the rooms were clean and spacious with lots of room, the indoor pool was a great way to un-wind. We felt safe with our belongings in our room and the staff accommodated us with a last minute honeymoon request (which included a full room decor with flowers spread across the bed and complimentary dessert). “Great place to stay in Halong”
We decided to go to Halong first, once we landed in the Hanoi airport. The place seemed quite new. Everything was great: kind and friendly staff, ample space, and clean, well-maintained facilities. We stayed in the executive suite (sea view) on the 24th floor, and the view was quite good. The suite had 1 bedroom with an en suite bathroom (separate tub & shower booth), a living room with a kitchenette, and another 1/2 bathroom, which was convenient. The kitchenette had an electric kettle and complimentary water, coffee & tea, and coffee mugs, but plates or silverware were not provided in the suite. However, the hotel serves complimentary welcome fruit and afternoon tea upon arrival, which was very nice, and the plates and silverware that came with them, we could use it for our whole stay. The breakfast buffet was included, and had a good range of food to choose from. The omelets were perfect, one of the best I had, and the coffee was great also. However, the breakfast menu may be the same every day: We stayed 2 nights and had 2 breakfasts, which were basically the same, but it was OK for us. Staff members were very friendly and attentive to our needs. The location was not in walking distance to the port (for cruises) but rides through the 'grab app' were very reliable and inexpensive, so we didn't feel isolated at all. We liked the location because it was not in the middle of the hustle and bustle. However, across the street, there was a night market selling all kinds of goods till 9:30 pm, and also a spa where we enjoyed foot massages after a long day. This was a perfect place to stay for the Halong Bay cruise the next day.
