The price is cheap, location is nice. But the staff and room condition wasn't good at all.”
The location of the hotel is nice and the price is super cheap. They provide a big family room for 4 people. But the hotel cleanliness wasn't good, I found little worms on the floor of the toilet, the water also wasn't working properly. The staff mostly didn't standby at the front office so when we want to check out we have to wait a while for the staff to appear.

We stayed here for two nights. This was cheap place I know that. But didn’t expect this will be our worst memory in Indonesia. First room they got us was stinky with mole. Room was pretty much all covered with mole and bathroom doesn’t look like the photos they have. Then we asked to change to another room and staff was like “Why you want to change?!?” We were like... “are you serious?” Then finally we stayed in next room, wasn’t smell too bad but also cover with mole. We hardly use bathroom. Then right after 2 nights, we got of the place and moved to another place.

Centrally Located Gem of a Hotel”
The Perwita Sari Hotel is a very pretty establishment, with some gorgeous traditional Indonesian art and airy, comfortable rooms arranged around a central swimming pool. The staff were amazing - they helped me arrange transport to the airport at four in the morning, addressed all my questions and concerns, and even prepared and packed a takeaway breakfast for me because I was checking out early. Little touches, like the lovely decor and complimentary jasmine tea when you check in, contribute to the experience. The hotel is located in a laid-back backpacker area with great Indonesian and international restaurants and coffeeshops.

Pleasant stay if you don't mind bare bones”
perwita sari is located on a quieter street about 2km southeast of malioboro. the staff is very friendly and accommodating, and very happy to help orient you to the city. rooms are rather bare, but have what you need to get by. the beds don't come with a full set of linens like you'd find at most hotels in the us, but there is a sheet that covers the mattress, pillows, and a small blanket that the front desk provides you with. bathrooms include a western style toilet and a shower head (cold water shower), with a sink outside the bathroom. guests are also provided with a laundry rack to dry clothes. upon check-in, guests are given toilet paper and soap, so you don't have to worry about going out to buy these. overall, the room is nothing elaborate, but it's fine for a place to sleep. the hotel itself is in fairly good condition. there is a breakfast area downstairs, where you can receive complementary toast and a hard boiled egg in the morning. there is also a pool area in a courtyard surrounded by the guest rooms. because this is a cheaper hotel, it is often the stopping point for large tour busses. if you're traveling during the tourist season, expect large groups to be coming through. be aware that it can get really noisy when the tour groups stay overnight. if you stay at perwita sari, check out viavia cafe across the street. its food is delicious, and it also provides some great tours around the area. jl. prawirotaman is lined with restaurants for when you get hungry. there are also convenience stores if you want to pick up snacks or bottled water (which the hotel does not provide for free). this is a fine hotel, but i probably won't stay at here again because there are hotels where you can get more for the same price. this hotel charges a two star price for what is perhaps a one star hotel.

The friendliest staff I have ever encountered!”
Although the fixtures and fittings in the room were a little worn, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff and the gorgous pool more than made up for it - not to mention the fact the room had a/c, a TV and free Wifi. The staff went beyond the call of duty - even making my breakfast the night before I went on a day trip so it was in the fridge ready for me to take with me at 4am. I would definitely return if I went back to Yogyakarta.

Nice hotel, lovely friendly staff”
this hotel doesn't look much from the outside, and the rooms are quite basic- but it does have a nice swimming pool and the staff are really helful. i was struggling to book our next on-going hotel and they phoned them and spoke to them for me. the rooms are basic, but clean. you even get afternoon tea served outside your room- a lovely touch (but don't expect too much). for the price i would recommend it.

Good location, friendly staff, but bad room”
The hotel was located in the heart of the tourist area Prawirotaman. It was not difficult to get around but I felt it would be better to stay at the other area Sosrowijayan, which was in the north and close to the attractions such as Borobudor and Prambanan. Anyway it was quite a peaceful and laid-back place. The staff in the hotel was very friendly and helpful. Whenever I had questions or requests, they tried their best to help me. They even offered me free souvenir if I filled up their questionnaire. On my last night, I was trying to confirm my cab booking for my early morning flight. The staff on duty couldn’t speak English but he tried his best to help and called his colleague. I got up at 4 AM and he prepared breakfast! One bad thing that I didn’t expect was that the standard room didn’t have hot water. Only the ambassador rooms had it. You can say it’s my fault that I didn’t check thoroughly when I booked the room. But it was really very surprising to find a room without that nowadays. Many local tourists stayed in this hotel and they woke up very early and talked quite loudly. No offense but that really affected my sleep. The room was basic but clean. The toilet often had problems but the staff came and solve the problem quite quickly. There was wifi. Breakfast was really good!

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The hotel is situated in a tourist area, with a lot of travel agencies and restaurants nearby. The hotel staff was friendly and helpfull. The swimming pool at the hotel was spacious, but very cold. The hotel does arrange some popular tours to the popular attractions like Borobodur and Prambanan. Our room was small, but clean and cosy.

A unique and peaceful retreat. Great pool and grounds, with a gorgeous view of the valley below. Good sunlight by the pool for relaxing or sunbathing. The staff was friendly, very accommodating, and kind. The only complaint is that construction of the building is very traditional, so there is not much privacy from one room to another. Would be worth paying for the upgrade to have more privacy in one of the bungalows.
