my stay in Ndalem Padma Aari Guest House was very good, mee l come back to Yogyakarta than l will stay in this same guest house.

Charming Hotel ”

We arrived to Ndalem by 8am after catching an early morning flight from Bali and the staff let us check in hours early without any comment. Within minutes of settling in our room someone knocked on the door to bring us hot tea (our welcome drink). The staff were the friendliest of any place we have stayed in our two months travelling South East Asia. Breakfast was served whenever we wanted it. One day we left the hotel by 7am and breakfast was ready for us by 6:30 and the next day we slept in until after noon but we were still served breakfast when we woke up. The room was a good size and clean every day but the bathroom did smell pretty bad and the shower had no curtain so water ended up all over the floor. The hot water also ran out really fast in the shower. Still the hotel decor was very cute and charming and the outdoor pool was great. Besides breakfast food was prepared at a local restaurant and sent to the hotel. It was a bit far from town but definitely worth it. We would recommend this place to our friends without a doubt.

a dreamy guest house ”

love this place! the room is spacious. like, really really spacious. they have swimming pool and gazebo to enjoy the afternoon. the open kitchen concept allow you to make your own coffee & tea as well as light cooking. good for family with babies. love the architecture and the furniture in the room! the only drawback was the location. this guest house is located quite far from the main road, but it means that you'll get a peaceful stay. better if you have your own transportation.

Good ambience”

This guest house has good ambience. I feel like at home. The bedroom is clean, cozy and homey. They give 24-hours tea or coffee at the kitchen. Totally satisfied. Very recommended

Nice small hotel but remote place”

I stayed in a standard room and was positively surprised when I entered my room. I got a welcome drink, although nothing special (instant juice), but in many other hotels this is just "forgotten" unless you ask for it. The room is not like a tyical hotel room. Walls are painted yellow, which gives the room a warm atmosphere. The bed and bedside table are made from bamboo, very nice. The bathroom is clean, but there is no separate shower. When taking a shower, the water unfortunately runs off in direction of the basin and door, so when entering the bathroom after taking a shower, you have to step on the wet floor. Not uncommon in Indonesia, but this might be a bit disturbing for people who are used to western style. The tiles however, seem to dry quicker than usual bathroom tiles. The staff was very friendly. For breakfast you can choose between several options. Usually ther is toast with jam, fried rice or sandwich. Quite simple, but ok. I wouldn't recommend the hotel restaurant, though. I ordered just once, but the food was delivered from another restaurant (or maybe street vendor, who knows). Quiet expensive and not as good as I expected for that price. It's in the village and quite far from the city centre, around 25 min by taxi. You should have a car or motorbike, otherwise getting to the main road takes some time. I would go there again.

Very recommended spot”

Very comfy property just like home, friendly staff, clean room, they also provide additional local breakfast (gudeg) and coffee or tea with very cheap add price for my room only booking. You guys should book this prop!!

Small hotel in the middle of nowhere”

We arrived at 11 pm and got the last room. The room has no window, with only 120 cm wide bed (which was too small for two people), and some black spot on the bed sheet. The bathroom was moldy and far from clean. The room is located just behind the front office, separated by a thin wooden partition (not a brick wall). We asked to change the room but there was no more room available. We found 2 cockroaches and many mosquitos so we asked the staff to spray the room, and we waited outside of the room. The air conditioner was broken and we, again, told the staff about this. They could not fix the air conditioner at that time, so we had to let the door open while sleeping (too hot when the door is closed inside the room without window and no air conn). Later, we found that our room is actually not for guests but for staying staff. They run out of the room so gave us that room. Other rooms seem to be quite ok. The staff was quite friendly, and the breakfast was ok for this kind of hotel (don't expect a breakfast of 3-star hotel or above). This hotel is located quite far from the bustle of the city, so you will find a quite and peaceful environment around the hotel. Since there is no public transportation near the hotel, you will need a taxi or own car to reach the hotel.

Good improvement ”

I visit this property on 2017 September (Last Year), i can see a lot of improvement in-term of service, facilities, and cleanliness of surrounding area. The location away from the city, i ideal for traveler have own transport, place that feel like home, convenience to stay, can prepare own coffee like prepare it in our own kitchen, nice & comfort surrounding to rest and chatting with our friends. The decoration of the property so nice and unique with Javanese concept. Most i love of this property is the rate and the quality of sleep that comfort even the room not sound proofing the noisy just a while and its normal at morning and evening time.

Service with smile but few English speaking staff”

few english speaking staff was a bit inconvenient but the staff were genuinely eager to help despite the language barrier. facilities were a tad run down but of satisfactory quality for the price.serves complimentary local breakfast which was a plus if you seek to experience the local culinary culture.it was delicious. tours and massage booked through hotel was a tad expensive as with most cases. if you hav the time would recommend to search for local tour and massage yourself at malioboro area.

The room and the facilities just basic, the location not convenience for backpacker or traveler without own transport. The room comfort, hot water for shower available. I request take away breakfast as they said they aware but when we checked out early morning its wasnt ready.
