Omah Tembi is situated at south Jogja,not too far from heart of Jogja,(Malioboro and Kraton Jogja). If we are heading to Parang Tritis Beach,we will pass Tembi Village. According to the historical traditional local people,Tembi Village is a place for children of royal families growing up. We can easily find trace of culture and history from the past. It makes Tembi Village is so special. Omah Tembi is one of homestay there. The unique of Omah Tembi is about the building or rooms. Old building is restored,but still retain the style of old traditional nuance, completed by modern accesories, making it comfort to stay. And as usual,with warm and friendly service from the crew,delicious foods,quiet area, make Omah Tembi become one of my favourite place to stay when visiting Jogja.

Excellent stay at Omah Tembi”
We stayed at the Omah Tembi Homestay for a week in July. The setting along the eastern edge of Tembi Village is beautiful, and we saw lovely sunrises over the rice fields each morning after being awakened by the roosters. We enjoyed walking through Tembi Village and the surrounding area. The hotel is approximately a 30-minute (50-70,000 IDR) taxi ride from central Yogyakarta. While our stay was excellent overall, there are several things to note: We had booked both a "standard cottage" and a "standard super bungalow," but there did not appear to be any actual difference between the two in terms of size or comfort. The breakfast was free and promptly served, but lacked variety and flavor. Finally, the front desk staff were very nice young ladies, but were not at all helpful in providing information. We had much better luck walking down the road to the D'Omah Hotel Yogya to request taxis and find out directions.

we were about stress with all routine and decided to have a break with visiting yogyakarta and looking for village with all complete features (dining, hair dryer of course, tv and ac) omah tembi has all of them and we're so satisfied!

Warm Welcome and beautiful peaceful place”
We spent three happy days at Omah Tembi. The wooden cottages are beautifully designed and built and well maintained. The peaceful setting on the edge of rice fields is beautiful. The large room was very comfortable and the attached bathing area was exceptional. We would happily return.

Very good”
It was great to stay at Omah Tembi as we could stay simple and humble. This Homestay should pay more attention to the cleanliness at the bathroom as it's smelly and we saw moulds around the tap of the washstand. We always saw a millipede during our 4night stay. Worse, some dust drops and gecko poos were always on the bed sheet everyday. The hanging lamp is too law as we hit it and paid another $40 to replace it. Somebody who is tall needs to be extra careful :-(

Nice local Homestay, small but nature love g”
Only two nights, bit difficult to find but it's behind the omah tembi hotel. No hot water when we were there, but not a problem for us, transport to the airport was miscalculated by reception, only took 20 minutes. So we arrived too early (1 hour) at the airport

Feel like back to nature ”
Back to yogyakarta always give me new experience. Live in Omah Tembi is one of greatest experience in Yogyakarta. this hotel is located is Tembi Village. you can feel back to nature, far from city and business. I like it's bathroom with it's natural concept. Unfortunely, the water is little dirty. If you like adventure and want escape from city with minimum budget, this hotel is high recommended. You can walk around the village with walking or ride the bycycle. If you want go to city, you can rent the motor cycle and feel the other point of view of Yogyakarta

Nice Escape ”

Great Homestay hotel”
A beautiful place with great antique wooden house tranformed to a room . It was the ideal place to put our feet up and relax, with the same time surfing the internet.A Nice atmosphera with the green surrounding and rice fields. It is a very unique experience of savoring life in a Javanese village with a friendly charming people around. Difinitley will come back again. Suggestion to the owner, please make more variety for the food. Look like very a limited choice for the breakfast, lunch and dinner.

We were stating at Dhaeng Room. It was nice, silent and calm atmosphere, close to rice field, and just a great place to relax. The place quite far from the city center, but all basic things you could find around, so it doesnt really matter to us.
