Amazing apartment hotel, amazing location, gorgeous space”
One of the most dialed in apart hotels in a perfect location. Staff is incredibly helpful and have gone above and beyond. Beautiful spaces with gorgeous design and comfortable bedding. Fully stocked professional gym. Was initially worried the location may be too touristy/ busy — but while you’re in the center of old town that is not the case at all. The property is peaceful and quiet. Great jumping off point for all things Edinburgh.

Outstanding Stay”
My family of three had an excellent experience at Cheval Old Town Chambers. The apartment was immaculately tidy, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed: washer/dryer, kitchenette/coffee, hair dryer, work area. The gym was first rate, and the staff was thoughtful and thorough. Great location to boot!

Dear Humayun, Than you so much for taking the time to submit your feedback from your recent stay with us at Cheval Old Town Chambers! Now that we are beginning to see the easing of lockdown restrictions, it has been so wonderful to finally be able to welcome back guests to our doors! Though I am indeed biased, I have to agree with you - our location simply could not be better, and who would have thought that only one street behind the royal Mile were specious apartments. Thank you again for submitting your review, and I sincerely hope that we might have the opportunity to welcome you back again in the future! Until then, stay safe and take care. Kind regards, Freya Spargo, House Manager
Nice apartment but beware of steps! ”
Booked this apartment as it was pretty close to the train station. However we walk via the advocate close and there are almost 90 steps to carry up our heavy luggages to the side entrance. Luckily there was a female pony hair receptionist who helped me with my luggages. Apartment is cosy and is one of my nicest stay in Scotland and there is nothing to fault on this. During check out.. We went by the main exit to take a uber (£5) instead (even thou the train station is just behind the apartment). But do bear in mind that there are also about 20 steps to conquer. Hence if you are carrying big luggages, this hotel might be abit taxing but in old Town area, I believe most hotels need to climb. Other than the steps issue, this place is definitely a perfect stay for me.

Beautiful.”
We had a gorgeous apartment which was in the original building showcasing many of the elegant and some might say, ostentatious features often seen in buildings such as this. Beautiful wood panelling, marble fireplace and door surrounds combined with contemporary design and thoughtful touches throughout. With very high quality appliances, furniture and gorgeous materials used, it is a premium experience - certainly for me anyway. Staff were all very helpful and nothing seemed to be a bother. We will be back, that is for sure.

The Old Chambers was wonderful!!!!”
My husband and I and our adult daughter stayed at The Old Chambers for 2 weeks. We had been to Scotland and Edinburgh previously so we knew something of the Old and New Town. The location of The Old Chambers was great no matter what direction that you wanted to go. 50 steps from the door was The Royal Mile and access to exploring the Old Town. We were about 100 steps from Waverly Bridge and access to the New Town as well as the airport bus, the train to walk the Old Course at St. Andrews on a Sunday and the various tour buses around the city as well as one or several day tours out of Edinburgh. The unit had 2 bedrooms, 2 complete bathrooms, a usable kitchen for meal preparation as well as laundry facilities so we could manage clothes and calories if we wanted. And a credible grocery store was about 5 minutes away. And when our feet got sore from all the walking, we could relax in our own living room. The Old Chambers really enhanced our whole trip!!!

Excellent location, perfect facilities”
We spent 3 days in Edinburgh at the end of a long trip with a 1 and 3 year old. If I knew about Old Town Chambers ahead of time I would have stayed a week. The location, in a close next to Angels With Bagpipes off the high street (Royal Mile) put us in easy walking distance of everything in Old Town (3 blocks from Edinburgh Castle, 3 staircases from Waverley Station, directly across the street from St. Giles...). We had a stove, dishwasher and clothes washing machine in the clean, modern unit, A king bed in one room, two beds pushed together into a king in the other. As a very nice touch, there was a new pint of milk in the otherwise empty refrigerator when we checked in, perfect for our coffee. Our children are very mobile and loved the stairs down the close and the narrow passageways to get to the Chambers; I wouldn't recommend it for people with bad knees, mobility problems, or really heavy suitcases. For the rest of us, this place is excellent.

amazing stay at old town chambers”
We were travelling with our daughter and her boyfriend. First time to Edinburgh. We didn't know what to expect. What we got was nothing short of amazing. Fantastic 2 bedroom apartment in a location, which is central at the old town. We are critical global travellers, so we know quality, and this was it. First class. On top of that the staff was incredibly helpful, and kind. Made us feel at home from the very moment, we arrived. One thing : Bear in mind this is old town/Royal Mile. There is no adjacent parking, but you can park your car at a public car park approx. 10 minutes walk away, and you get a 20 % discounted stamp from the hotel for the car park expenses. I know, where I am staying next time in Edinburgh... Enjoy Old Town Chambers as much as we did. Kind regards Hans-Henrik Nielsen Dubai

Excellent base for visiting Edinburgh”
Old Town Chambers is in the heart of the Old Town part of Edinburgh and very close to many of the major tourist sites being in the middle of the Royal Mile. The accommodation is spotlessly clean and beautifully appointed with all mod cons at hand with even little touches like a blue tooth player ready to play your music off your phone. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms well provisioned with one of the best showers we've come across on our travels. The staff are a delight and always willing to help. A note of interest - on arrival at Waverly station Old Town Chambers is across the road but up a flight of literally about 250 steps. Alternatively a steepish walk up the near by streets brings you around the front. The taxis parked in front of you as you exit the station are not keen to give you a lift as they will lose their place in a queue of perhaps thirty taxis for a minimal fare as we found when enquiring of the first four in the queue! Despite that a wonderful stay!

Exceptional”
Old Town Chambers is an excellent place to base your stay in Edinburgh. We arrived in Edinburgh during a storm after a long drive. Jennifer met us at our car, helped take our bags to the building, and we were able to return our rental car in the city by 6pm (closure), saving driving back to the airport to return it. Airport bus stop just a 10 minute walk down the hill from Old Town Chambers and buses run every 10 minutes. Would definitely recommend everything about Old Town Chambers.

Wish I’d stayed longer!”
If there was another reason to stay more than my (current) single night in Edinburgh, beyond the beauty and interest of the city itself, it would be because of the comfort and location of Old Town Chambers. Not the easiest place to find, down a wee close, but what a gem! Loved the view from my 2nd floor apartment, the peace and quiet, and how completely the apartment had been kitted out. From the gloriously comfortable bed, to the thoughtful milk in the fridge, the lovely toiletries to plenty of big, white, fluffy towels, Old Town Chambers provided everything to make my one night stay comfortable and fun. I will come back - and for longer next time. Thank you!!

Hidden gem in Royal Mile.”
Old Town Chambers is a true gem. Located in Royal Mile in cool Advocate's Close, it's centrally located and right across from Devil's Advocate Bar which makes the BEST cocktails in Edinburgh. The apartments are beautiful, well appointed with high end design and finishing touches. Super comfy beds, gorgeous dark wood floors, luxury bathrooms and TVs with lots of channels to entertain. Free wi-fi! Must stay here while in Edinburgh. The staff is very nice!! I can't wait to go back.

When they say views, they mean views”
Exquisite apartment with a view of the Scott monument and locale. I caught it with snow on the far slopes, too. Like much of old Edinburgh, getting to the Old Town Chambers involves a long flight of stairs, but the interior has all the modern lifts and luxuries you could want. Close to the magnificent Scottish National Gallery, restaurants, bars and transport, Old Town Chambers would be perfect for short or long stays.

Short Stay In Edinburgh”
I thoroughly enjoyed the 3 bed-room apartment that I recently stayed in Old Town Chambers. The beds are very comfortable. The apartment is beautifully furnished and it's well kept. They provide a Nespresso Coffee Machine as well as coffee capsules. They also provide a nice selection of tea too. The location of the hotel is just awesome! It's right on Royale Mile and there are many restaurants and cafes within its vicinity. The hotel is in the center of all the iconic places. To its left is the Holyrood Palacehouse and Arthur Seat and the Edinburgh Castle to its right. If you walk down the streets at the back of the hotel, you will reach the Princess street where all the shopping is. It's a good hotel to stay in! I highly recommend it.
