Loved our stay at Semabu Hills! It is the nicest hotel in Nusa Penida and well worth it. I would highly recommend making time to stay in Nusa Penida as there is so much to do on this island. They organized a private driver to take us around the island and the chicken sate from the hotel was my favorite meal on the whole trip! We enjoyed our dinner out on their terrace in our robes and they even brought our dessert to our room. Wonderful service and great value!

I am currently at the Ring Sameton, where I have extended my stay from four to seven nights, as I'd suspected I might want to do. So comfortable, well-located, clean, and most of all, fantastic staff. The manager, Ucik, goes to great lengths to make sure every guest's needs and desires are met. Ucik sets the tone, and the rest of the staff rises to that standard. The rooms are spotlessly cleaned, with new bed linens daily, and the grounds are immaculate. Be forewarned - Internet can be slow, but I am told it is still about the best on the island. Breakfast is not a "buffet" - probably a misunderstanding of the term - and is limited, repetitive, and simply gets the job done, like most of their meals, but I had not expected better. If the hotel owner were to hire a really good, creative chef, this place would be flawless. I was delighted to find that he warungs and Penida Colada across the street, and the Gallery just up the road, keep delicious meals and beverages in walking distance. There is a nice big swimming pool, and there are lots of comfy spots to hang out. It's easy to either rent a motorbike or have Ucik arrange for a driver. And best of all, some of the nicest snorkeling is just across the road, from shore. Just be sure to go near high tide. I also dived with Nusa Penida Watersport, highly recommended and probably the best and safest on the island; they picked me up at hotel. In short, I am very happy to have chosen to stay here!

All staffs are friendly and helpful. They arrange car and drivers for us to travel around Nusa Penida in 2 days. Both 2 drivers are very nice, they help us taking pictures. I forgot my tripod on the car thr first day and call Madi, the driver to check the car. He found the tripod and brought to the hotel for me the next morning. We love our trip very much and special thanks to Arsar Santhi Nusa Penida. One more thing, the bed in the room is huge and very comfortable for your sleep.

Stayed here with my best friend for a weekend getaway. Didn't realise how good the hotel is until we got there. Even before we checked in, every time people asked where we're staying and we said Bintang Bungalow, the word "wow" will always came out. I guess it's fair to say, for an island like Nusa Penida where there are not much options for accommodations, this one can be categorised as luxury. Especially for the islands' residents. Located slightly out of main road, but not far from Crystal Bay. The swimming pool is nice for a chill out session with sun beds and pool towels provided, but not for serious swimming due to size. The breakfast is ok. We can also order food from the kitchen almost anytime we want with reasonable price. Experienced black out for about 30-40 minutes but it's because there was work in progress with the islands' main power supply. Overall, it was a good experience. If you want a bit of luxury in Nusa Penida, you can consider Bintang Bungalow.

I got a lovely cottage. But, I cannot relax even in my room in day time because of the noise by very loud Karaoke of Chinese Group. If you can go out from 9 am to 5 pm in day time, it's ok. WIFI cannot access in room. If I want to use WIFI, I have to go to restaurant or reception. Not provided hair dryer though it is beach hotel. And the room price is expensive enough (about USD 73 per room night), the breakfast is not included. I have to pay extra charges for Breakfast.

The bungalow was nice and very clean. Good view and wifi was okay. Breakfast was fine as well. The warung only had a small selection of choices at other times and was quite expensive compared to rest of Bali. Tasteful tho - would recommend the mie goreng. Location was not good, felt far from everything - but then again, everything is at Nusa Penida. Owner was nice and helpful.

This accomodation is in a strategic position 10 minutes walk form the port. The resort is brand new with a beautiful garden and a swimming pool plus another one in construction ). The room was big and fairly clean, big bathroom but saltwater shower ( common on Nusa Penida ). Staff really friendly and helpful, they booked ticket for us for the return boat to Sanur ( IDR 150000 ) and we rented scooter for IDR 70000. Only small thing there is a temple right next to the accomodation so in the morning sound 6.30 we were woken up by the prayers but actually we didn’t mind since we had to wake up anyways for the activities. Overall would recommend.

Sundi ocean bungalows are a perfect choice for your stay at Nusa Penida. The view is magical, the houses perfectly clean, relaxing and quiet. We loved staying here with our two small kids. Especially Made is the perfect host! Super friendly and really helped us a lot. We were stranded at the ferry one day when we wanted to leave and he was already looking for us to pick us up again. It’s a little secluded but you can rent a scooter (not reccommended if you travel with kids) or they can arrange a car/driver for you to take you anywhere you want. I really recommend this place!

We loved every minute of our stay at Manta Cottages, although Nusa Penida is a quiet island, this place certainly made the trip worthwhile. Location is perfect to get around the island to see the idealic beaches, the staff are incredibly friendly and accomodating, and in particular Bebe!! He will arrange motorbikes, snorkleting, tours, diving, anything you need he will accomodate you, nothing is too much trouble for him. THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING BEBE - ADAM AND NGOC! :)

I stayed a couple of days in Nusa Penida to snorkel in Crystal Bay and visit the island. It is a very laid back and relaxing place with beautiful scenery. Unfortunately, I got a very bad food poisoning case. Probably from the food stalls on the beach as they don't have electricity. The road are also in a very bad shape which makes travelling in the area quite difficult. People have limited english proficiency but kind and helpful. I'd recommend it only for the more adventurous...

The location is near crystal bay. The ladies staff were very nice and welcoming. The guy staff aren’t nice and polite with me because first night i stay in dormitory so they think i am a poor guy. I stay one night in bungalow and three nights in dormitory. The bungalow was very clean and the dormitory need to be more clean. If you need to buy your speeboat ticket, don’t buy it at the hotel they charge you 50000 idr more. I bought a ticket from nusa penida to sanur for 150000 idr. If you buy directly at the harbor it will cost you 50000 idr.

I had a great stay at Timbool Bungalow. The location was excellent being within walking distance to the ocean and many great restaurants. The staff are warm, friendly and super accommodating, asking how they could assist to make sure my stay was a good one. They AC worked great, shower was hot, breakfast good, bed was comfortable and the bungalow beautiful. All in all a great value. Easy motorbike rental on the property as well to explore the island. I cannot say enough how friendly and wonderful the staff was. If you are coming to Nusa Penida - stay here!

Dewa and his staff provided excellent service throughout my whole stay in Nusa Penida. Picking me up from the ferry terminal to arranging my transport to visit the different spots in the island then sending me back to the ferry terminal. They provided free pickup which was really good as there's really no public transport in Nusa Penida. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable that allowed me to have a good rest after a long day going around the island. The food at their restaurant was really delicious and I like that their juices were all fresh. There was an issue with the aircon in my room whereby water kept dripping but after I reported the issue they cleaned up my room and told me that they have will have it checked with a technician. Overall this place is an excellent place to stay in Nusa Penida. I will come back here again if I get the chance to visit Nusa Penida again. Thank you Dewa, Wayan and all the staff for your hospitality!

This is the best option to stay in Nusa Penida. The rooms are new, the beds are comfy, the bathroom is spacious and everything is super clean. The pool is great and we used it a lot. The best part is the family that runs this guesthouse, they always have a smile in their face, they help you with everything and provide an amazing service. Look no further for accommodation in Nusa. They provide pick up service from the ferry so be sure to write them before you arrive.

Really enjoyed our stay here. We also pre-booked a car and a driver to take us around. Pak Wayan, the driver, was very nice and helpful, helped us get up and down the Angel Billabong!! And was also being our photographer for the day, quite a good one too :) Close driving distance to Crystal Bay where you can watch beautiful sunset. I loved the pool, small but very cosy, like everything else at this place. When you have the time, please do the massage, talk to the reception or the boss, and you wont regret it!!

The two brothers running the place are very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay in Nusa Penida a lot because of the recommendations we got from them. If you can, travel by car, the scooters (which are in a good shape but very expensive at the place) will kill your ass in no time because of the road conditions as soon as you leave the main road and sometimes even on the main road. Infrastructure is very limited, so bring cash and prepare for very bumpy trips or very long walks. The apartment itself had little furniture and no safe. The furniture was ok apart from the bed which was worn out completely on one side. The shower was dispensing little and smelly water, also it was not clean. The room was not really clean and the sheets and towels were simply dirty. The gentlemen need to improve the cleaning. Arrange everything in advance if you go there and you will meet friendly people if you can ignore the negative points. Wi-Fi is bad and the location is only correct on Google.

Nothing fancy but has all the necessities you need and more while you’re staying on the island. You can rent scooters for cheap and book snorkelling through the accommodation, the staff were really helpful with this and always had a friendly and laidback attitude. The hotel bar and restaurant seemed to be one of the more lively places to eat on the strip, good happy hour and live music. Beds were a little uncomfortable and could’ve used a doona but other that can’t fault it.

In Somayan bungalows you can really feel the real passion for customer care. The owner of the place was very helpful and friendly for the whole 4 days stay. The bungalows are very suitable for a group of four person not knowing eachother that well. Tip: Book your breakfast at 7am and wake up at 6.05 so you don’t miss the sunrise. What a good way to start your day at the beautiful island of Nusa Penida!

This place is located right at the pier, but a bit deeper in the island, so we easily walked there upon our arrival. There is nothing around it, so it is very quiet and peaceful, very good for chilling in the evenings, starring in the sky. There were delicious welcome drinks, the room is huge and shower as well, WiFi is very bad, but it's the same everywhere on the island. There is also breakfast served. Staff is very very nice to you and can help with anything. Loved it

Stumble-upon the hotel because we had to move from our previous hotel due to overbooking. When we arrive the hotel just open for 2 days! But the reason why we choose the hotel is because how it look and it not disappoint. It has all the amenities listed and the room is very cozy. The structure is very nice and when the rain fall, we did not have to wake up due to loud sounds of rain or worst, dripping water from the ceiling (new structure may have this problem). The pool just have one section but its a nice manageable size, meaning you can safely play with your kids with them wearing a life jacket of course. The hotel is situated in the middle if you want to go to the west and east - south attractions. Its near a handful of good restaurant. And ATM is walkable. The beach is more as a working beach for fisherman where you can find a lot of wooden traditional boats and fish market. A harbor called “Nusa Penida” is also walkable but mind the rain and no one is actually walking in these street. Hence there’s no pavement. People who manages the hotel is locals and extra nice plus friendly. Very helpful and on hand with everything. Overall, pleasant experience.

I stayed in Asoka Bungalows for a night (9 May 2018) and the place is excellent for its location with great breakfast. I can't thank enough the owner for his great help when my friend lost its passport on the way to Kelingking Beach. The owner also helped us to get discounted price for the speedboat service back to Sanur. I will definitely come back to this place next time...! PS: My friend managed to find his passport when a kind local picked it up and posted it on a FB group on the following day.
