After getting off the train at "Keisei Narita Station" from Narita Airport, I arrived after a 20-minute brisk walk. It’s a good idea to buy dinner at a convenience store along the way. During check-in, I received explanations from a foreign woman at the front desk in broken Japanese. When I asked during her explanation, "Breakfast was included, right?" she answered, "No!" Additionally, when I tried to ask a question in the middle of her explanation, she scolded me, saying, "I'm explaining right now!" Once I finished listening to the explanation and asked again, "Breakfast is included, right?" I was firmly told, "No!" Although I thought breakfast should have been included, I was taken to the second floor when the breakfast explanation began. It’s a self-service setup where you can have white rice and instant miso soup with toppings. (You can eat it after 5 a.m.) On the same floor, there are male and female rooms. The female room has about 8 tatami mats with four bunk beds set up. On that day, there were three other guests besides me, two of whom were foreigners. I could hear loud snoring from the neighboring male room, which was amusing. All the guests were quiet and considerate, which was helpful, but there seemed to be no rules regarding lights-out time (there might have been), so it felt like someone took the lead in turning off the lights. That night, I turned them off before midnight. I kept the air conditioning running, which made me thirsty. A sleepwear robe, bath towel, face towel, toothbrush, and shower cap were provided. There was one separate toilet and one shower room for each gender. I woke up at 5 a.m. and checked out before 6 a.m., but others were still sleeping, so I was careful not to make noise while changing and doing my makeup. By preparing my clothes and makeup the day before, I was considerate not to make rustling sounds during my morning routine. I moved to the dressing area in the bathroom to get ready and quickly finished breakfast before checking out. When I checked out, the front desk was unattended.
