No matter how many times I come to Naeba, I always choose to stay at this hotel. I have come with friends and brought my 3-year-old child. Recently, I had the opportunity to take my child to ski school at Pandaruman School and she loved it so much that she wants to come back. The Kids zone is also spacious and my child loves it. She has been on the inflatable slide many times and loves it.

I think I was able to stay cheaper than a business hotel. The space was also sufficient. Amenities were provided, and there was a large public bath, and the room had a separate toilet and shower. There was a sense of luxury from the front desk. It was very good. It was not winter, so the bar and illumination were not open, and it was a little lonely, but it was more than enough and very good.

Good hotel for ski near Tokyo”
The ski resort is about 200 km away from Tokyo. It takes about 2 - 3 hours to get here. We took the shinkansen. There is a bus to the hotel but we took the taxi. It cost about 10,000 jpy to take taxi to the hotel. The room is OK, not so big but not too small either. Bed is ok. comfortable. The ski resort is just behind the hotel. There is a child playground area called wakuwaku land, adult entrance about 1,500 and 2,000 for child for full day pass. My kid enjoy the snow tubing as they have elevator going up so we dont need to be too tired. They have many toys to play with the snow and we enjoyed it. The ski resort also have english lesson for beginner. We are lucky when we came the snow is heavy so it is quite fun. They did room cleaning on our 2nd day. There are many restaurants in the hotel and mini-mart. It is like a city in a city. We enjoyed our stay and feel pity that we only came for 2 nights. The next trip should be at least 3 nights.

Overall, I found the hotel to be a convenient choice for those who enjoy skiing or snowboarding at the nearby snow resorts. Here's a breakdown of my observations during my stay: 1. The hotel, rooms, and facilities are quite old. However, despite their age, they are properly maintained, clean and tidy, which contributes to a comfortable stay. 2. It provides a variety of facilities including luggage lockers, ski equipment lockers, changing rooms, onsen, massage services, coin laundry, etc. 3. There are quite many restaurants within the hotel. They offer a wide range of food options at a reasonable price, catering to different tastes and preferences. 4. I noticed some reviews mentioned the rooms being too hot. However, during my stay in Building 6, which has not been renovated yet, I did not encounter this issue. 5. It offers ski-in-ski-out convenient access to the Naeba Snow Resort. However, the snow condition was not good when I visited in February 2024. Fortunately, the Kagura Snow Resort, with much better snow quality, is easily accessible via the Dragondola or by bus.

Not the best but worth the effort ”
Went on a purpose of skiing, disembarked at echigo yuzawa thank god for their attentive staff who replied to my email when I had problems to book for a free complimentary ride to the hotel. The trip was alright with their aging facilities but well kept and running smoothly, was not lucky to have met with blizzard conditions but overall snow condition was still acceptable albeit not finest. Hotel room is a bit stuffy and too warm at night but cleanliness is at the highest level. Food choices were plenty but business hour was not so flexible for most shops are either closed early or operate late in the morning. Still will recommend this stay since it’s the nearest you can get to access the dragondola to even finer tashiro side of the ski slope and kagura as well.
