We recently stayed at Rococco Ashvem beach as part of a three week holiday in India. The five nights we stayed at the hotel were a very relaxing and enjoyable time for us. The staff were exceptionally helpful, especially when we were four hours late arriving, due to a train delay, the driver waited for us at the station!!! We also lost our room key and again the staff went above and beyond to help us get back into our room and eventually into our room safe. we can not praise the staff enough they were all friendly and extremely helpful. Our one slight minor complaint is it would be nice to see more South Indian/ Indian food on the menu, the menu very much caters to western standards, however this is a personal thing, we live in the west now but crave good Indian food. Others may prefer Western style. The location was spectacular the sea warm and we had the added benefit of the deluxe sea view room , it was amazing to watch the sun set from both our room and the beach. Whilst by some western standards this hotel may not be viewed as 4-5 star, to us all the above positive features made our stay a truly amazing and positive stay that we feel very lucky to have had. We will be back in the future.

I was there during monsoon time and consciously chose to be in Morjim /Ashwem to have peace on quiet beaches. I enjoyed long walks in the beach and reading my book by the pool or in my room. Important advise is to carry an umbrella or long stick with you if you want to walk in the beach because of the stray dogs who feel they own the beach. I had to escape a bunch if 7-8 dogs waist deep into the sea and then got this advise from a man who kindly came to my rescue with his umbrella. I found the room very nice and with the covered verandah I felt I had a separate living room. I preferred to venture out, eg to near by L'amoure for lunch&dinner as the restaurant is nothing special even if the service there was always nice and polite. I used both laundry service and the spa plus booked taxi through reception severs times. All service was always prompt and friendly. For taxis there are standard rates in Goa, so I did not question the rates and the taxi driver was very professional and friendly. Laundry was inexpensive. Spa is a bit pricey but then again, to keep two qualified ladies (and they did know what they were doing) full time available even during low season is a service that must be appreciated. All in all, I was satisfied with my stay and might choose the same resort again next time.

Our stay was fantastic. The rooms are small individual cabins a few meters from the beach. The restaurant is right on the beach, so you have breakfast with a full view to the beach. Food is really good, staff is great, hotel is rightfully priced, making it great in terms of value for money. I would really recommend this hotel for couples like us. There were many families with small children as well. (Actually the only downside were some crying babies during the night!). The hotel doesn't have hot water, which they clearly advertised, but you get used to the cold shower really easily, the weather helps. All in all, we felt in paradise and loved the place.

The best part about this place is the location, rite on the beach! The photos do not do justice to what view you get at this place!! There are many things they need to work on though, one of the 3 rooms we booked had a really bad door!The in house restaurant served us some amazing food, both veg and non-veg for lunch and dinner! They really have to improve on their complimentary breakfast , hardly any options and when the cook is so good! Loved the hospitality of the place, specially mentioning balram, who happily and cheerfully served us for 3 days!

We stayed in the tropical room, which was lovely. A good size room , soft large bed, free water after room service and a hot shower. Unfortunately we went during rainy season, so the hammocks and beds weren't out on the beach. However the pool and Jacuzzis were available and working. Great service! My partner fell sick whilst staying at the hotel, the staff were very friendly and helpful, gave us medicine and took us to a hospital for him to be treated, free of charge. We ate at the restaurant rumours of times. Decent, tasty food, price was reasonable. Breakfast in the mornings were included. Good range of toast, fruit, cereal, eggs how you like them and Indian food. The hotel is on the beach. So the only issue is getting to the hotel from the main road. The hotel provides a free jeep service, however the road is very bumpy and muddy, especially in rainy season. Enjoyed our stay, would recommend the hotel and we cant wait to visit again during peak season.

We had a excellent overall experience of our hotel stay @ Red Fox Morjim Hotel. Rooms were clean and good sized, bed could have been slightly bigger though ( for family of 2 adults + 1 child ) . Swimming pool was slightly smaller but was clean. Activity center needs some more facilities i.e. Carrom, etc. Restaurant food experience was mixed with some food items taste being really good and some not upto the mark. Hotel location is also good, near to beach but not on the beach. Overall we had a pleasant holiday experience.

Morjim is in the heart of holiday Goa and the Montego Bay Beach Village is in the heart of Morjim. You can enjoy the breathtakingly beautiful beach from sunrise to sunset with effortless access to sea, sand and all of the great beach cafes and restaurants and clubs. The Montego Bay Beach Village is a family friendly seaside base to explore the lovely countryside and interesting towns of Goa as much as you wish. Around the New Year is an ideal time to visit, especially if you like dance music and fireworks!

Nice place to stay if you are looking right next to the beach. This place has a rocky beach so swimmers have to find a safe spot. Food was good. Rooms are spacious and clean but TV didn't work in 3 rooms that were given to us during the stay. Deluxe rooms are not sea view rooms and you have to come out to the restaurant if u want sea view. Super deluxe have sea view. Ample staff was around during our stay and hospitality was good.

Our stay at the Morjim Queen Beach resort was really awesome. The cottages were colorful & clean. You will get to go to the Morjim beach just a walk away from the property. The food, staff, bike arrangments were fabulous. We went in the first week of September, so it was the end of the rainy season. It was a bit hurdle in order to enjoy in Goa, but we couldn't care less. Try to go to the beach in the early morning for a long walk.

We had a nice, enjoyable, hassle free stay at White Feather. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. Always plenty of staff at reception and around the place and happy to help.They helped us with renting a bike and have a good knowledge of the local area. They were a little on the quiet side and so upgraded us and put us in an extra large room on the top floor. Very clean and spacious, fans and a/c to keep you cool day and night. Large comfortable beds (not always easy to come across), clean bed sheets and towels, nice wardrobe with lockable safe drawer and soaps and paper in the bathroom. 2 minutes from Morjim/Ashvem beach and local shops on the main road means everything you need is close at hand. Very tasty food if slightly on the expensive side but good quality. We would happily stay here again.

I would rate my stay at Morjim Hermitage Resort as an average one. The resort is on the beach so it scores the points on Location. The rooms were okay, but not that great. Things like towel replacement, housekeeping on daily basis, were lacking. Also please be aware that breakfast inclusion does not mean a good spread of breakfast. It just includes bread omlette and poor bhajji (you can choose one). Also portion size is quite small. My advise to fellow travellers is to stay in the resort and eat elsewhere.

Sur La Mer was everything and more. My daughter and I were looking for some quiet time where we could work (yes I know.. in Goa!) and play in peace. We definitely didn't want to stay at baga / calangute this time and Morjim ticked all our boxes. Safe, clean, good crowd, excellent places to eat and easy to get to. Sur la Mer exceeded all our expectations as well. The owners Nayan and Raju not only made us feel at home but part of the family. The food was off the charts good and the pool and rooms were instagram perfect :) Go.. don't even think about it.. just go

The hotel is brand new. The room is nice, spacious. Aircon, TV, everything works well. The hotel is clean, western standard clean. There is a small pool to chill. The location is great if you wanna be a bit away from the noisy beach bars. A motorbike can be rented at the hotel, so you move around easily, I don't think walking to the beach is possible. The staff is very attentive and friendly.

I visited with my family but experienced very bad service. No staff available during check in. I had to carry my own luggage. ACs not working due to voltage issue. Massage person dint turn up as per his timings so had to skip massage. He kept me waiting for 1 hour and no show. Breakfast served after 1 hour of ordering. Had to request repeatedly for drinking water. No staff for service during meals. The intercoms not working. Had to go to reception everytime i need something. Children play area not maintained. Most of the toys are worn out or dirty. Reception staff is good but helpless. Resort approach roads is poor and not tarred. Bad experience overall regarding service.

After an extensive internet search, we spent 11 nights at this 'restaurant with (cottage) rooms' on the beautiful beach at Ashwem. The cottages are either side of a paved, level path that winds down between palm trees to the restaurant overlooking beach - sunsets to die for. Ours was a 'Grand' cottage which was spacious, comfortable and attractively decorated in simple rustic style with an adjacent spacious shower room where everything worked well. Both were maintained impeccably clean. The Elevar restaurant was as good, if not better, than the renowned La Plage which is about 100m walk along the sands. Leela also has a small vegetarian restaurant which we did not try. The staff, almost without exception, were charming, polite and smiling. What's not to like? Perhaps the 2 or 3 docile beach dogs that some guests insist on feeding and the nearby wedding venue with amplified music - but all is quiet after 1030 pm. Otherwise, it's delightful.

we, a group of 5 friends from bangalore, stayed at this hotel from 16mar2012 to 18mar2012. we reached panjim on the first day morning and rented two wheelers (activa) and reached this resort. it was approx 25 kms and it took us just 45 mins to reach since the goa traffic is less compared to cities like bangalore. resort's check in time is 12:00 pm. but,we reached there before itself. however, we were provided with room keys and we checked in before the check-in time itself :) from then, it was just a pleasant experience. i have just collated our experience as points below. positive points: - resort is right on the calm, less populated, less polluted beach - morjim. just walk into the beach and enjoy your time. - rooms were so clean with adequate space. restrooms were maintained so cleanly. - food at the restaurant was too good. especially, french fries, aloo (potato) fries, were too good that we ordered it each and every time. - resort is near to famous beaches like baga, anjuna, etc... just few kms away. suggestion/points to be improved: - although food at restaurant was good, but the restaurant boys were less pleasing. they had no smiles on their faces and no greetings whatsoever. most of the times, they had grim faces :( - nightlife around this place is very much restricted. it would be good if the restaurant installs some lights on the path to the beach which would be really good for all who like to go out to the beach at late evening time and enjoy the nature, beach. - it would be good if the management put out some guide books or notices which would have the tourist spots near to the resort. this would really help the first timers. one more thing to add. resort's check out time is 11:00 am. however, on our request manager allowed us to stay upto 3 pm with no extra cost. as they had mentioned in the rules, if rooms are not booked and available, they are ready to accept such requests. on the whole, it was a very pleasant stay . enjoy stayi

From the online pictures one might conclude that this place have views (greenery views) but that is not the case. The rooms were large but full of insects and flies. Lizards were there in the wall first day. Lizards are safe but fear is there intuitively. It is two days I am out of this place but the flies bites are still itching. I booked the place for a very low price but I think it is not worth it since the flies bites still hurts. Cost saving is good but it does not worth the bits.

Nice, cozy place on Morjim/Ashwem beach. Ok breakfast - nothing special, but clean and tasty. Clean bathroom. Water running with good pressure. Warm water day and night. The sea view vila is very cool, right on the beach; it keeps the feeling of a beach hut but has the comfort of a hotel room, which is nice. At night you can hear the waves. Actually you hear the waves all the time, which is kind of cool. The staff is very helpful. Their restaurant might be an issue as it closes rather early, at 19.00 o’clock or so. You can still order a beer or a Coca Cola after that time but no food. Good news is that right near Mamagoa, there is a super nice resort Palm Grove that has an amazing restaurant with great food and cool design. Only 1 min walking from Mamagoa, fence to fance with Mamagoa. The beach in front it is not that busy, which is very relaxing. Location wise, it’s very easy to get from here to Arambol (15 min by scooter), Keri (20 min), Mandrem (5 min) or Anjuna (15 min).

We enjoyed our stay, although it is more than 350 meters to the beach. The food in the restaurant was adequate, well presented, and very reasonable prices. Kevin, the waiter was very pleasant and helpful, as were the rest of the staff. We had a very spacious comfortable room with a balcony. Plenty of hot water and soft clean towels. We will definitely stay there again.
