We we’re celebrating our anniversary This must be the highlight of our Hanoi trip. From the minute you arrive you are welcomed with a smile from the outstanding staff. We choose this cruise as it’s the only halal cruise on offer. The food was out of this world each plate was a work of art and very delishes. We had the presidential suite which was the entire front of the boat all to our self’s. The suite was very luxurious and comfortable it even had a massage chair. I think waking up and enjoying that view of Halong Bay was magical. Every second had a different view of the bay which was amazing. We relaxed and enjoyed the cruise the first day and did our tours the second day which was visiting cat ba island swimming and canoeing. The last day we visited the caves which was absolutely amazing. We took the 2night offer which I highly recommend to enjoy the full experience this cruise has to offer. The staff are so nice and very helpful, We were looked after by Roy he was polite and attended to all our needs he even called us by our names. Another outstanding staff was Tammy so helpful and very knowledgeable. Thank you to all the staff and chef who made this cruise very memorable.

Went with my husband for our wedding anniversary. Upgraded to the largest cabin and suprised with table decoration and mocktails during dinner. The crew and facilities were exceptional. They were able to provide halal food (the only cruise that I found to have halal certificate). The only downside was Halong Bay was crowded with other cruises. We went kayaking in the evening and few floating trash/debris were spotted. No visible stars at night ?cloudy ?light pollution. The 2d1n felt short. We checked in at 3pm to our cabin and checked out 9.30am the next day. Transfer to marina took around 40-60mins.
We loved it here, you should definitely experience cruise once in your lifetime. We entered the cruise and we were welcomed very enthusiastically. They provided with full support, and had small- small things to make your pleasant very beautiful. We went for our honeymoon, and they provided a candle light dinner, we are jain and vegetarian, they provided with full support and prepared great food for us. Harry was one person there and he made our experIence worthwhile.

If you come to Vietnam, doing a Ha Long Bay trip is a must! I am happy we chose Mon Cheri because of the type of clientel they attract, the cleanliness on board, and the organized, unrushed nature of the "cruise"... yes I did mean to put cruise in quotations. Don't expect a traditional cruise. You are mostly stationary like a floating hotel. You do move some, but most of the movement is on the day boat or the ferry. This is how almost all of the companies do it. If you are on a small intimate boat (8 rooms or less) you might get to cruise more. The views are breathtaking, but it would be nice if the boats could spread out a bit more. It's such a large area but it seems like they congregate in clusters. Make sure you spring for the 3 day, otherwise you will feel rushed, and miss out on the highlight activity which was visiting a very remote village on Cat Ba Island. The food was pretty good, and they catered to our dietary restrictions but options are limited when you start altering the dishes. They were very careful with my wife's gluten intolerance, and my seafood alergy... and they actually made tofu taste good ( I hate tofu). The staff was always happy, and answered any questions we had. The capitan even let us take some photos and videos at the wheel on the last day right before check out.
