“One disappointment after another”
We had a confirmed booking through agoda. As soon as we arrived at 11pm, after a long day's journey, we were told they did not have a room for us. They hadn't sent any messages prior to this letting us know. There was some problem with their system accepting more bookings than they had room for. In this sort of situation I would expect them to bend over backwards to find us another place. I would expect them to be on the phone with other hotels, offering different suggestions for us to choose from, etc. But instead, the owner was pretty much just like "go online and find a place. I'll pay $2 for the ride over there." Ok, better than nothing, I guess. We booked another place for the night and came back the next day. The floor was dirty like it hadn't been swept. The mirror was dusty as if it hadn't been cleaned in a year. I was expecting a nice place, but this was a C grade motel at best. And to boot, they charge "Extra" to have a blanket on the bed! Can you imagine that?
