Rooms are big, clean and comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful (helped us to do early checkin , gave nice toys to tired kids) There are 2 coin laundry machines and exchange machine. Buses are half block away to go to the popular tourist locations. Convenience store next door. Limited western breakfast (toast, pastry, sausage and eggs), but the Japanese selection is good (if u like fish, go for it) There are a few 24hr restaurants half block away. Nice bakery next door, awesome artisan coffee 1 block away. Nice bonus: they can take your luggage to their sister hotel near Kyoto station. So you can tour the city unburdened on departure day. And the luggage pickup in their sister hotel has a nice lounge with free breakfast and refreshments. (Nice attention to detail as expected from Japanese hospitality) As good as it gets for tourists.

The room space is decent for a couple, clean, well equipped. Nice deco in the lobby with Zen corner and resting chair. You can have a relaxing onsen in the public pool, nice breakfast, and staffs are friendly. Will consider to come back and stay in Mitsui for next trip. Thank you!

Service was excellent, staff were very helpful. The rooms were clean although a bit small. There was a coin-operated laundry and an onsen in the hotel. After checkout, we still wanted to roam around Kyoto and they offered to keep our luggage.

The staff was FANTASTIC! I didn’t take advantage of any facilities, but the place offered everything I wanted. The room was cool and clean and provided water. Location is great, very short walk to the bus stop and right next to a FamilyMart. If I go back to Kyoto, will stay there again.

A Great Place to Stay!”
The hotel is very modern yet very Japanese in design. The staff was great. One morning, at around 6:30, we found that our shower head was faulty. We called the front desk and the staff and maintenance crew came immediately. The problem was solved within minutes.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Kyoto. We had a very nice experience there. The staff was very friendly and helped us with whatever we needed. On the last morning that we were there it started to rain and we were without umbrellas. The staff, with a friendly smile, brought two of them out for us immediately.
