"My brother & I stayed for 2 nights at Riad Dar Merzouga. We were not expected to arrive as we have only booked online that same day and we arrived around 8pm. We were welcomed by Badr and his friend and were offered some tea. The riad was beautiful and very traditional. Although they did not provide any toiletries, the bathroom and room were spacious. The markets and most tourist sites were closed when we visited Meknes due to the Eid Al Adha holidays but we were able to find a taxi to take us around during the day. In the evening, we were invited by Badr and his niece/nephews to have dinner with them and celebrate Eid at his home with his whole family. Everyone was so welcoming. It was an amazing experience. I definitely would come back and stay at this riad and I highly recommend it. D & J Filipino expats living in the UAE "

"The very important feature of this hotel is that it is located within walking distance to the main attractions within the Medina. We did that after breakfast and it was superb for our short stay in Meknes. Souvenir shops were close to these attractions and I didn't notice any in downtown; so just buy them here if you need to do so. The rooms are fine but as it is a Riad, do not expect much on view from the window. If you need to get to the town, just get a taxi but they rare pass by in front of the riad - we were once lucky, but even the receptionist told us to walk a bit the busier place."

"We had a very nice time at Ryad Zahraa. It was very clean, had a nice breakfast and had a bathroom right next door to our room. The host was very helpful and recommended both an excellent tour guide for showing us around the medina and the restaurant next door which we enjoyed a lot. The only problems we had centered around the internet, which came in very sporadically."
