This Hotel was superb in mostly every detail except for staff and pool After researching several hotels in makati, reading countless reviews we choose the I'm Hotel . We arrived early (11:00 am ) and they allowed us to check in early without charging us extra , the hotel is high tech and they showed us how to use the gadgets in the room like the T.V , offered us breakfast special pricing if we pre-paid which we did but somehow the front desk failed to put us down for the special promo breakfast deals and we really had to insist which made us upset before they finally agreed! Therefore staff rating is only 3 stars for they 1) Don't understand and pretend they do when in reality they don't leading to miscommunication, 1/2 the time our refrigerator didn't work and they kept sending someone to try to fix instead of just replacing it . The shower was awesome probly the best I've ever had in a hotel or anywhere for that matter. Wish had kids pool ,and play area .

As I read the other reviews, I agree with some of the cons but they seem very nit-picky at best. All hotels have pros and cons, Dusit's Pros far outweigh it's Cons. The staff are the friendliest and most professional I've experienced w/o exception, the location is quite central and easy walking distance (2-3 blocks) to the Greenbelt Nightlife or Hard Rock Cafe. The lobby is spacious, the elevators quick, security professional and efficient. You want to know if it's worth staying here? You can find (2) better hotels in Makati, for a price. You won't find a better deal w/o compromising comfort and safety in Makati than the Dusit Thani. You pay for a 3 star hotel and get 4-5 star comfort.

Our stay at the Tune Hotel in Makati was an excellent one; my partner and I were very satisfied with the room and the service, considering the excellent price. If we needed to pass through Manila again (we wouldn't want to spend a whole holiday there!), we would definitely come back. When it comes to hotel rooms, we only have a few key criteria when travelling in South-East Asia: 1. The room and bathroom must be clean, without insect infestations or mould issues. Hot water should always work properly. 2. There must be a reliable internet connection, with an average speed of above 10 KB/s. 3. The air-con must work. 4. Staff must be, at the very least, non-confrontational. 5. The location must be OK (taxis and the like are relatively cheap anyway). The Tune Hotel in Makati not only satisfied all of these requirements; it exceeded them. The room was safe and clean; the internet connection was fast and stable; the staff were incredibly helpful. Having booked through Agoda, all of the extras were including throughout our stay - I highly suggest that you book here, since it ended up being far cheaper than if we had booked everything through the Tune Hotel website's booking system. If you go to the counter, they'll give you an even higher rate!

For years I have come to Manila and stayed in the City Garden Makati Hotel which is across the road from this one. The grand Hotel is everything that the older Hotel is but just what it says ....much more grand!! Now we have chandeliers in the lobby and a magnificent roof top pool and restaurant with stunning views over Makati. The rooms are great, new and provide great views of the area. The breakfast buffet is excellent and the staff are friendly with one exception who must have been having a bad day...she was grumpy with everyone in the restaurant......The hotel is great value for money when compared to its international hotel chain competitors....but choose carefully. Transport in Manila is gridlocked so be sure you want to stay in Makati before you book here. If you want, for example, to be at Mall of Asia or Quezon City there are hotels which are closer to those locations. But if you need to be close to Powerplant mall, the Makati CBD or Glorietta Mall this hotel is ideal. You will not regret staying here its great !

Impeccable service, wonderful facilities, best location in Manila as it's a 5 minute walk to Makati City's Greenbelt mall and peripheral malls. Short distance to great restaurants. Drivers on demand. An absolute 5-star urban hotel. I stay there oftener business, and I now bring my finance' on most trips. in terms of convenience, size, and location - it could be the nicest hotel in Makati. Hotels like Shangri La, Peninsula, Raffles and others have gotten so crowded that you simply cannot comfortably enjoy the amenities or restaurant options. Diamond Residences has terrific restaurant and in-room dining, and the VIP amenities are outstanding: Executive Lounge is great for entertaining or winding down, The Whisky Bar is private and well appointed, the spa service is excellent. I recommend Diamond Residences to any traveler who wants a 5-star, safe, elegant experience - without hesitation!

You can stay at the Shangri La and pay a lot more money, and you can enjoy the aging plumbing and lights in your room. Or you can stay at the Peninsula, and enjoy being treated as a visiting family member. The location is as good as you can have in Makati. The hotel is across the street from everything. The stock exchange, the beautiful park, all the malls, Glorietta, Greenbelt, Rustans, Landmark. The view of the Manila skyline is enough to keep you looking out the window in your room for a long time. The hotel and all facilities are immaculate. Not just clean. Spotless, polished, cared for with such pride. The housekeeping staff is friendly and efficient. If you want to go out for only a few minutes, they will have your room clean and cozy when you get back. The wonderful people on the staff make every effort to do their services on your schedule, so you can enjoy your time uninterrupted. The staff at the Peninsula is by far the best asset. Every staff member makes an obvious effort to make the guest feel welcomed, appreciated, and cared for during their stay at the Peninsula. All the facilities are wonderful. The food is some of the best you can find in Makati, and and will be pleasing to all palates, no matter where you come from. The Peninsula hotel is my home in Manila. I have stayed at most of the better hotels in Makati, all of which are very good. I must say though, that the Peninsula makes me feel like I am home, and so comfortable and relaxed. My fiance and I sat outside the driveway at the entrance at 4 am, and sang songs to each other. It was quiet, peaceful, and though there were many security guards close by, they left us alone and allowed us our romantic moments. Thank you Peninsula staff !! You're all the best and most professional in the business.

the place was difficult to find, after all, this is makati's best kept secret, but after a quick phone call to the hotel for directions, you'll realize that it is probably the most centrally located or all makati hotels. there is a reputable bar/resto, international foods grocery, and spa downstairs! the nice shopping malls like glorietta and greenbelt can be reached by foot or a short taxi ride, so is the plush rockwell, and the bonifacio global city is just at the other side of edsa. the staff booked me in a room with free wifi which is a big plus for me. it's a new hotel so the appliances and furnishings, done in modern-minimalist style, are fabulous. for the serviced apartment convenience, without the high cost, picasso is a wonderful option you won't regret!

my stay there was okay. the location was good due to other venues being close by. the front desk staff were friendly and courteous, but, it depended on the shift i had to deal with and, the staff member or members. the bell hops were great, very courteous and helpful. breakfast was good and, the service was excellent. i stayed in a studio room and, it was okay. the wifi in the room was not too dependable. it kept going on and off and, if i wanted excellent uninteruppted wifi connection, i had to go down to the lobby. it would be nice if the hotel provided blankets for the guests. the beds only had bed sheets on them. if it got too cold, i had to either adjust the air conditioners temperature setting or, just turn it off. two pairs of slippers were provided but, the ones in my room had been used already and, one was broken on its side and, on both pairs, the front strap kept on coming out of its hole because it was kind of worn out. also, it would be nice if the plastic shower curtain would be cleaned better or replaced. the one in my room had mildew stains on one side and, it would also be nice if the rooms floor would be mopped and vacuumed or swept a lot better daily. if i wanted my room cleaned, i had to inform the front desk and give them my room key on a daily basis. otherwise, my stay there was very good and, i would definitely stay there again. the room rates were very reasonable and, the restaurant prices for food and beverages was also very reasonable. i would recommend eurotel makati hotel to friends and family traveling to the philippines and staying in the manila area.

This is a beautiful new hotel in Makati at a very reasonable cost. Easy check-in. Very professional staff. You feel very safe and protected in this hotel. It's near the red-light district -- so not well suited for a family vacation. Shopping is about 10 minute taxi ride away at Glorietta and Greenbelt. Lots of restaurants nearby. THe downside is that the hotel is still under construction (maybe that's the reason for the favorable rates). It is competitive in cost to other hotels within close proximity, but much less than Makati hotels closer to Ayala and the Glorietta mall.

Fantastic friendly staff, very inexpensive hotel in Makati. Overall I was quite happy with my stay. It would have been a lot better if they had more options on their buffet breakfast. . Rate is quite low for a Deluxe and it looked really new and spacious the room was equipped with all the basic amenities and it also came with free wi-fi. Excellent staff service, wonderful Spa and swimming pool, Full Menu 24 hour room service.

the reason why i moved to ascott makati were the bad experiene i had from bsa tower. they accused my brother that he took away dirty towels. the staff were very unprofesional. therefore i searched for a new hotel and i was not wrong to choose ascot makati hotel. location, amenities including washing up liquid was available. i will consider to stay again with this hotel. thank you for considering for the cancellation from bsa hotel.

Holiday Inn is a wellknown hotel in the world needless to say, however, this hotel in Makati is a brand new and superior than the Holiday Inn I have experienced in the USA. I would recommend this Holiday Inn for the traveller who is looking for an accomodation closer to the hotel one class higher but do not wish to spend for same. I stayed for a business purpose this time and requesetd for a company rate as it is rather expensive compared with normal Holiday Inn if I will stay there for longer periods.

I could not say enough nice things about this hotel. There are a handful of hotels in Makati claiming to be 5 stars and they are more like 3.5 or 4 stars. The standard at Fairmont I'd more like 7 stars. It is such a clean hotel, inside and out. I did not feel cautious walking around barefoot in my room bc it was that clean. I was very comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed my visit. The staff is so wonderful. From the person who opens the door, the front desk, bellhop, housekeeping, servers, bartenders, room engineers, driver, etc., EVERYONE was just fabulous. They are all willing to go out of their way to make sure you have everything you could possibly want or need. The food at the Spectrum restaurant and Macaron cafe were our favorites. We ended up eating at the Macaron cafe sometimes twice a day, as not only the food brought us back but the warm and caring staff that tended to us. The service here is nothing short of exceptional and I wish it was the standard at every hotel. We even utilized their ride services. The hotel remains in touch with the driver pretty much the entire time to ensure the safety of their guests. The location is also prime, walking distance to other restaurants, bars, shopping, and even churches. I'm currently on a trip for vacation and will compare other hotels, but so far, the Fairmont is my favorite and has my highest recommendation.

Enjoyed stay at Y2 Hotel, located in Makati. Hotel is rather new, has decent fitness room and rooftop pool. Only short walk away from shopping center -- which boasts HOOTERS! Burgos Street is about 5 min walk from hotel. What made stay at Y2 even better was free room upgrade, per originally booked room type was full prior to arrival. Staff were very accommodating, so will recommend this hotel to those wishing to stay in Makati.

Best value for money hotel in Makati. all staff from doorman to room maids were simply awesome, nothing was a problem to them, the front desk performed flawlessly. the roof top pool and rooftop restaurant were aligned with the big hotels claiming 5 stars. would not hesitate to stay here again, centrally located, bars and food venues on your doorstep. The rooms, whilst a wee bit on the small size, was jam packed with extras, and as clean as a whistle.

i reserved this for my relative with kids. the location is very ideal if you want to stay within makati CBD. walking distance to ayala triangle park and the salcedo weekend market. it is 5 minutes away by car going to ayal malls. place is spotlessly clean and spacious. the staff is attentive and their courtesy is just how a hotel does it - im impressed! i would definitely come back and i will refer this to friends and family. in fact, i will be posting a vlog about this experience to encourage people to consider this as a place to stay. This place is a nice staycation for families or business hotel. dont expect for the TV to be nice though. the purpose is for you to live in a clean and comfortable place right at the best part of makati.

Had a Business Meeting and the Guys I was meeting were staying here, so I thought to make life easier would book also. Very Impressed, Nice Clean Modern Hotel, Friendly prompt check in. Centre of Makati pretty Busy Traffic wise during the day, but then just about everywhere in Manila/Makati is! Room very nice, on a high floor with good views out over the city, Comfy Bed and a really nice En-Suite. TV with good English Channels, Nice well-functioning Air Conditioning Room service food limited but good quality and not too expensive the restaurant is on the ground floor next to reception, nice breakfast nice atmosphere and again good quality food, very pleased with this. All in all a nice place to stay, not the cheapest rooms, but then not the most expensive either, I would definitely stay here again, it was my first time and within a day or so of leaving I received a 40% off coupon to redeem on my next stay within a year, very good. Really don’t think you would go wrong here, their attention to detail is good, friendly people who go out of their way to help, just what you need when busy with meetings and everything is rushed, Thankyou Citadines.

I enjoyed my stay in aruga hotel. I'll definitely come back. The hotel lobby is very clean, so relax , nice smell , staff are very efficient and helpful. It's a very exclusive hotel and very peaceful . Upon arrival there were available staff to help us with our bags . We checked in smoothly. The rooms are all equipped with washing machine and dryer, stove , microwave , toaster and utensils. Rooms are very clean and mattress very comfortable. Hotel is just across power plant mall near entrance of mango and marks . There is a access doors in the basement going to the mall. Breakfast are just plate in average taste but in a few months time they will serve breakfast buffet for the guests. Nice gym and pool. With their price it's more worth it than any 5 stars hotel in makati. I strongly recommend to try this hotel .

i was concerned what i would find when i got to bsa suites hotel in makati because it was so cheap. i need not have worried. on the contrary. i came from a poky and expensive hotel room in hong kong, to loads of space. the ‘suites’ name in the hotel does mean suite. my bedroom was separated by a small partition from a very large sitting room complete with three-seat settee; and separated from a kitchen complete with microwave by a kitchen counter. tiny tv if that’s what you’re there for. cupboards and drawers a-plenty. i don’t know if all rooms are so spacious. friends had warned me to be careful as a tourist about walking manila’s streets. but this hotel’s in a very safe area in the heart of the financial and banking district and guards are everywhere. including inside the hotel. there is even a guard who sits complete with rifle on the nearby street corner at night! it’s only five minutes’ safe walking (and i am both small and ageing!) from the makati green belt – a succession of green landscaped malls with shops, restaurants and cafes galore including the havana very near, where you can’t hear yourself talk as it lets rip (mostly tourists or ex-pats) at night. i should add that guards are everywhere even in individual shops in the greenbelt malls, but they are all ultra-polite and helpful to tourists. hotel service was very good. the ladies at reception were all big smiles and helpful –the men polite and helpful. phoning from the room was quickly answered. as were calls to the housekeeper. there’s a swimming pool up top which one swimmer in the lift told me was very good. two fast lifts. negatives- there was a problem with hot water in the shower, and the breakfast, delivered to the room, was minimal – fried egg arrived cold with some pieces of fruit. (there’s a mini supermarket just across the road though and you’ve got a kitchen!) the hotel was happy to change to toast and jam when asked.

The Suites are located close to the business district of Makati in Manila and only about 20 minutes away from the airport (depending on the traffic conditions). The rooms are not new but very nice and spacious, ideal for a business person to stay. A number of nice restaurants are around but not on the cheap side. The hotel staff was very pleasant and helpful. Very good experience

We just had our overnight stay at One Pacific Place last Oct.9-10,2012. Although I have read a negative feedback on this in trip advisor, we decided to give it a try because 1) it is just a walk from my husband's office (LKG Tower, Ayala) 2) I found a good discount for this in Agoda.com and 3) I read the General Manager's reply for the negative feedback in the same site that says "Our hotel is now fully completed, fully opened and is into full operation." We confirm that we have now experienced the Hotel's fully operational room and service. It is clean and I can say that what you can see in the pictures posted are what you can actually expect. It's elegance is similar to Somerset Millennium or even our favorite, New World Hotel in Makati. Except of course that the space is smaller (as expected because of the significant difference in price). We got a Studio Queen room and I think that the room layout and furnitures are well organized. The aircon, tv, blowdryer, bidet, etc are apparently new and functioning well. The staff provided us with excellent service. I am giving One Pacific Place Serviced Residences a general rating of four out of five because I am happy with our stay (just reserving one spot for future improvements).

Makati hotels can be pretty pricey hence I was surprised by the price I got from this hotel. The hotel is very new. The room was spacious and nicely furnished. I feel like we got more than what we paid for. Breakfast was really good. The buffet was not that extensive but won't leave you hanging. We would love to stay here again should we need a hotel in Makati in the future!

This was one of the cheaper options in Makati, right in the heart of the Greenbelt area. As a solo female traveller, the area felt very safe compared to other parts of Makati I've stayed at. The deluxe suite I booked was very spacious and apart from some water damage on one wall of the room, it was clean and well maintained. The staff were very friendly and attentive - answering my requests very promptly and always with a smile. My room was at the front of the hotel facing the main road, but I didn't find it as noisy as some people have mentioned in other reviews. The best thing was the very short walk to Greenbelt, so getting home with lots of shopping or coming back late at night was no issue. The only thing that I didn't like were the weird sliding glass doors on the bathroom which don't close all the way, so you may not get all the privacy you need if you have friends visiting or staying over.

I’ve also stayed at the BSA Twin Towers location and although that place has better features and in my opinion cleaner and fresher feeling, this place is excellent for those looking to eat, shop, or relax with business to attend to in Makati. The price is well worth the value. I do prefer the higher room types rather than simple studio like I took this time but it was still a good useful room. Security out front seems well managed and the rest of the staff was always helpful and courteous. I’ve already verbally recommended this place to friends for our upcoming stay.

The location of the hotel is excellent. Right beside all the shopping and 5 mins walking distance to Glorietta Mall, Green Belt, etc. Its also nearer to the airport than hotels in Makati Ave, so taxi fare can be negotiated down to 200-250p.. its rare that you find an honest taxi driver willing to go by the meter. Staff were efficient and helpful and because the hotel is quite established, there's no problem getting to the hotel in a taxi. The rooms are comfortable and well furnished. You have all the 5-star amenities at a 3-star price. Room service food was pretty good although 5-star priced, but i'd rather pay that than some other knockoff dishes at discount prices that do nothing for the appetite. In either case, you're within walking distance to many restaurants offering great variety of food. Hotel has a gym that wasn't as well equipped, but not many people using it so not a problem there. No pool unfortunately but i wasn't there to swim so it didn't bother me. Internet connection is available in-room and was included in my booking with Agoda, but the speed was rather slow and i could hardly get onto facebook games. There's a 24-hr convenience store 2 doors away on the left of the hotel where you can buy basic amenities, stock up your mini-bar fridge, etc, but don't expect to get things you'd normally get from a full-blown supermarket. Hawkers set up stall just outside the hotel at night and you get pretty good beef noodles for a very cheap price. If i'm going back to Manila, i'll definitely stay here again.

The staff were very accommodating. What you see is what you get in the photos published online. The room was spacious and clean. However, their electric stove and washing machine are charged at Php. 200.00 each per day. What's not just recommended when staying here is bringing your car. Their parking fee is SOOOO EXPENSIVE. We checked-in at 2:00PM then checked-out at 11:00AM the next day and we paid Php 490.00 for the parking. Parking rate is Php 40.00 for the first two hours then Php 15.00 for the succeeding hours PLUS Php 150.00 on top for the overnight fee. CRAZY, right?! Apparently, what you will save with the room rate will go to the parking fee. Nevertheless, this is a good place to stay around Makati! :)

This was my first stay at the Guijo Suites in Makati, booked through Agoda due to its good reviews. While I have stayed previously at the Marriott, Intercontinental, Shangri-La, etc., and all of them are quite good and well located, the Guijo Suites in Makati was, however, the best hotel I have stayed at in Makati/Manila, and the absolute best value that is available. The hotel, while located in a somewhat difficult to find location, is actually quite close to Glorietta / Greenbelt, and somewhat off the beaten path, although taxi drivers knew it once you gave them the cross streets for the hotels location. The room size is quite good (by US Standards), bathroom had a good shower, room service was excellent and very quick, breakfast buffet was decent. The hotel itself is a couple of years old and does not have a lot of rooms (I think I was told just 23 or so), and excellent value for the money. I will stay there again (despite some noise during the day due to construction across the street which was quiet at night). Excellent hotel, excellent value for money! Recommend it highly!
