The best backpacker I've stayed, cozy wooden building from Taisho period, super cool owner. I joined the campfire and had a wonderful time talking about stuffs. Definitely getting back if I visit Karuizawa again.
Beautiful property, generous host”
The host was very kind and helpful. I mentioned I was hiking and he drove me to the trailhead about 30 minutes away and gave me some local tips. The house itself is cozy with a beautiful backyard area. Two thumbs up

The house, the environment nearby is so nice and cozy. Strong taste of Japanese local, tradition home. The host is so helpful, so willing to talk to us. Missed the night that travelers had the little chats around the table.
