I first went to a much more grand looking hotel close to city center about 7pm, and was told that they could not book a tour for me for next morning. Following a friend'/ suggestion, I took a taxi to Greenhost and asked They could help me book a tour for next morning sunrise tour at 4am. The front desk said yes they would be happy to book it. Since I had the morning tour and missed the breakfast, they placed a breakfast box in my room which became my lunch when I came back from the tour. I used the hotel to book two additional tours, both very smooth. They also allows me to check out late when I needed it. Stayed twice at this hotel while I am in Yogja. The hotel has very nice atmosphere, confortable upscale beds. I also like the slippers in the room, and the internet connection quality.

I stayed in the dorm room. Its perfect for solo travellers - cheap and best. Location is amazing because you have quite good cafes and restaurants hardly 5 minutes away. All the tours to Borobudur, Prambanan and other tourist attractions can be booked from hotel itself. Staff is super friendly. One of the hotel guy named Dito personally took me to Ulun Sentalu Museum in Kaliurang area because there were to tours available to that place. That was really sweet. Overall, I had a nice stay.

We actually made a last minute booking for this hotel as the hotel we stayed at previously came with a lot of problems. Upon arrival at Tune, we were dismayed that the hotel had a power blackout and the power would only be back on in an hour's time. Killing time, we swam at the small pool that the hotel had. When the staff managed to get the power up and running, we proceeded to the room. Being a no frills hotel, we came with no expectations, only for the hotel to be clean, which they delivered. Room was clean, toilet shower was amazing, overall a very good hotel to stay at. Only downside is that it is quite far away from any shopping malls. We frequented Jogja City Mall which was a 25min taxi ride away (approx IDR 50,000). Staff however were amazing. They remembered us by name and were very attentive to our needs. We had a few questions and even though they tried their best to answer, they didn't end there. To get the correct answer and come back to us, that is effort, which is what they did. Anywhere else, the staff could have just carried on with their activities. Kudos to the staff. One issue though, is the breakfast. It was horrible. Salty, lack of choices, you name it. It wasn't an international buffet where you have a spread of choices, it was just a few food storage shells and horrible food within. Not recommended if you have a thing for hotel breakfasts. Overall, if you are looking for a clean, affordable place to stay (get your own breakfast), I would recommend Tune.

I had a great time at Dusun - the staff are outstanding and they will go out of their way to help you! Definitely have some massages, so cheap and relaxing! The pool is wonderful and most rooms are 10 steps away from it. The best thing about this hotel is that for most rooms, it takes 30s to get from the entrance to your room, unlike in other hotels with lifts and long corridors. The a/c workes flawlessly, and the ground floor room sheltered us from the prayer calls, which never woke us up. The food at the hotel is pretty good and cheap for Indonesian standards (don't go to indonesia for the food), make sure you sip a coconut by the pool at least once. The room decor is exquisite and homely, so much so that I purchased the soap holder to take back as a gift! I loved this place and if I'm ever back in Yog then I'll definitely come back!

We stayed at 2 executive rooms by the pool! It's a great place with such a low price! The reception was such a sweet and attentive lady. Not many people there during our stay so they served only us on our breakfast time and our playtime at the pool. The staffs are all polite and friendly. If I must say about the downside, the extra bed is not so cozy as can feel the springs in the mattress. The hairdryer is too small too. Took me a while to dry my hair. But of course for the price we paid, this is definitely the best of all 3-4 stars hotels.

Only stayed two nights, but the manager in charge couldn't have been more helpful, securing me a driver to see all the sights starting at 0530, despite not having arrived until 11pm the night before. Clear professional, with experience. Other staff v helpful, but with less English/experience. Hotel has a lovely retro Art Deco design, which makes it look more like a 4 star than 3 star hotel. Good location for the 'back-packer' bars etc, though possibly not the 'scene' it's intended clientele would be after. Balconies in those rooms look inward on the pool, and are nice to relax on, of an evening.

We really enjoyed our stay here! Our room was great, we even had a small veranda. Free breakfast which was good and filling, free snacks too which were served in our room. When we left early for the sunrise tour they packed food for us. You can also book tours in the hotel for an affordable price. Near lots of restaurants and pubs too. Best of all the staff were kind and friendly. Would definitely book this place again when I return to Jogja. More than your money's worth!

Simply one of the best hotels we have stayed at. Clean as a whistle with wonderful staff. The gardens are amazing complete with waterfalls fish ponds and an excellent pool, clean and well maintained. Breakfast was simple but good. Had to stay in Jogja for an extra three days and was offered a discount. Checked out some other hotels in the area but it was a no brainer. Front of house staff spoke excellent English and were chatty and smiling. Made to feel very much at home and nothing was too much trouble. Although a few kilometres from the city centre, taxi fare was less than $2 and the hotel would arrange a metred taxi upon request. Waited no more than five minutes for a car. The hotel also arranges transport to places of interest at reasonable prices with no hard sell. Room was large, clean and well designed. Cannot fault this hotel.

We absolutely loved this place! Staff were fantastic, very friendly and did they best to accommodate us! Our phone didn't work and we needed to book a table at a restaurant so one of the ladies did that for us, we went on a tour and had to leave before breakfast time so they prepared us a packed breakfast at 3am! The room was big, very clean and had everything we needed. The bathroom was also clean, shower was good but water temperature was difficult to control as it came really hot or really cold, and it also wasn't draining very well so we ended up with a puddle in bathroom. The pool was also nice, the hotel was quiet when we were there so was lovely. The breakfast is absolutely amazing!! You can have american option of coffee, fresh juice, concentrated juice, milk, cereal, eggs, French toast or normal toast and fruit. Or you can have Indonesian option with all the same drinks and fruit, then noodle soup or fried rice.

Hot shower inside the room, breakfast with ftuites, rice and toasts with coffee in the center of Yogyakarta I think is already more than enough for their cheap price. After this I closed my eyes on dirty old room wich need to be improve its appearance. By the way they cleaned it perfectly immediately when I asked for room clean. Also staff is very friendly, really helpful and have a good sense of humour. I enjoyed socializing with em. Recommend

Our stay was worth every penny. wait untill u see the room. The room was really nice and tidy. There was a nice balcony too. These was very suitable for family too. But the water heater didnt work well most of the time. But we really enjoy our stay and it was located near city centre too. It was a really nice stay overall. I would recommend this for my friends/relatives and surely will go staying on this hotel for next visit to Jogja

We stayed at the Indah Palace for two nights. The staff were extremely nice and courteous, which was the biggest plus point for me. The location is a little from the main centre, but easy to get to by taxi or tuk-tuk. The rooms were nice and with standard facilities. The best facility of the hotel as a whole was the restaurant. Although the buffet breakfast is fine, I think you should try a bigger meal in the evening. We did so on the first evening and it was a lovely meal. In fact, the nasi goreng we ordered was the best of our whole trip to Indonesia.

The room was advertised with a bathtub... It certainly didn't have one. When we asked for another room they said they were all full. Not the best first impression but at least they were smiley and friendly. Relatively clean although in the morning we found a dead cockroach in the bathroom, I guess it's very difficult to prevent them from getting in the room when you are on the ground floor. I would definitely stay there again as it was a very cheap option, clean and with friendly staff. Just a basic place to spend your night and nothing more. Location wise was very nice. On the first parallel street there were loads of nice restaurants and cafes (as well as pricier hotels).

The place is nice, really good feeling since the begaining. Swimming pool,chill area,friendly staff,,really good vibe place. I booked the hammock,and the hammock space its a little bit hot because no fans,but you have your own plug and WiFi it’s quite fast. Location it’s a little bit far from the city center,but ok for that price. Really close to Warung Lotek Pak Mul,an small street food place where you can try the best Lotek (Gado Gado) that I ever tried in Indonesia. You can search it on google by that name.

Very clean hotel. Arrived at 7am but was not allowed to check till 3pm. Service was ok. Good buffet breakfast selection. In the standard rooms, the toilet and bathroom are in the same room, so when you shower, everything gets wet! Large pool which was put into good use as it was quite hot in Yogya during our stay. Very good spa nearby the hotel which was cheap as well. Many tour booking outlets from which we booked to see the Ramayana Ballet while we were in town. We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Grand Rosela!

Bhumi was the best place I stayed in Java on my two week trip. I even ended up extending my stay. The location is away from the busy tourist area around the Royal palace and Malioboro street, but easily accessed through the local transit which is only a 5 minute walk away. The staff go above and beyond to make sure you are well taken care of. They can arrange any tour you would like to do around the city and have many maps and recommendations around the neighbourhood as well. They offer home cooked meals to guests during daytime hours and the food was some of the best I had! It's all vegetarian and locally sourced (they even bring snacks from their home garden). They have their own permaculture garden on site which you can use for your own cooking, and even have a gym in the back area as well. The atmosphere is very peaceful with all of the paintings around the building and you will quickly feel like you are at home.

It's a bit hard to find, located in an alley. We used taxi from the airport and the driver didn't know where to go so we have to call the hotel couple of times. They provide good breakfast, free tea and coffee. Clean and comfy and homey and the super nice staffs were really helpful and friendly. The owner born in France but truly an Indonesian, loves Yogyakarta with all his heart. We also can rent motorbike from the hotel, cheap and easy. We had a great time.
