A Must For Any Visitor to Kyoto ”
I have visited Japan four times and this is the best place I have ever stayed. Keith-san was very detailed and genuine in making sure we were taken care of. He answered all questions and his English was almost at a native level. Kyoto is already my favorite but the stay made it even more authentic You will feel at home and want to stay again. Everything was clean, the machiya is beautiful and the location was In close proximity to the station and nearby food. Thank you for your hospitality Keith-san, hope to visit again on our next trip!

Staying at Keith-San’s place was the hi-light of our Kyoto Trip. You can’t find a better place!”
First of all, we were greeted, by the kindest people we've met, with a traditional japanese tea ceremony. The house itself was spectacular. A futon was layed out, as requested, in a tatami room where yukata’s were also provided, if you want to experience the japanese way’s. If not, there is a queen size bed upstairs. The gem in this house is the outdoors bath (Onsen) adjacent to the living room, where you can relax and enjoy your stay. Perfect for a couple. There is also a shower and a second bath with all the necessities. As for location, it is a quiet neighbourhood away from the many tourists. Walking distance of any transportation, subway or bus. Host went out of it’s way to suggest restaurants and activities for us to do in our stay. He even reserved a traditional kyoto breakfast (if you don’t book the included one) and a japanese sweets making class, which we thurley enjoyed. If you would like to enjoy the hotel’s breakfast, you need to inform Keith-San the day before.

Pros: - Quality bathroom amenities - Microwave oven - Very clean room, floors, linens - Spacious - Good air conditioning - Quiet - Laundry and dryer available Cons: - Quite a bit of walk from the main shopping street - Difficult to catch a cab nearby I absolutely recommend this place for a honeymoon - the deep tub baths and comfortable bed were excellent for a good rest after a whole day of walking and exploring.

Staff is very friendly and welcoming! Love the interior design. Super pretty and clean! Love that they have a smart tv, you can watch netflix or youtube videos! Love the welcome tea, snacks and the breakfast. Definitely a good experience. Walkable distance to nikishin market too!

Really nice place and location. Very unique cultural feeling. Just that even it has a washing machine for sharing you never get the chance because the hotel staff are washing bedsheet all the day.

Beautiful, immersive and enjoyable stay”
This was probably the most posh of the properties we stay on the trip and our kids could not get enough of it! The machiya looks and feels every bit as amazing as in photos and we loved the decor, ambience and expanse of the property. The outdoor bath was probably the highlight and it was a stay that we will remember for a long time, even if it was just one night. Highly recommended!

急遽の時間の対応も快く受けてくださりかつ写真を撮っていただいたりとても気持ち良く宿泊させていただきました。 琵琶に泊まらせていただきましたが外風呂の湯量がこぼれない防止とはいえ肩まで浸かれる湯量は欲しかったです。 仕方のないことですが隣のお客さんが遅くまで外風呂に入りながら音楽流して喋っていたのが気になりました。 また機会があれば利用させていただきます。 今回はありがとうございました。

非常喜欢，以后有机会一定再来住几天。在安静的地区，但去各地都方便。到达后电话服务人员可以得知入门密码，之后就完全是自己的世界了。（一定要会英语）再说房间设施，都是用好的东西，感觉到商家的诚意。特别喜欢前面的门廊和后面泡澡的小院。还有楼上纸的窗帘。住在里面整个人都放松安静下来。在这里体验到日式居住的舒适。
