“OUR HOLY WEEK STAYCATION”
My wife and doggie, Coco, booked this hotel stay to celebrate my wife's birthday and to spend Holy Week. We were allowed to check in and to go up to our Studio room by 1:30pm. After spending about an hour in the room, we noticed that the temperature felt a bit warm. I checked the AC and it was at 16 degrees. So we called the front desk and complained about it, to which they told us that they would send people from the engineering department. After several hours, nobody came to check. I checked on google and found out that our room was facing west which meant our windows were absorbing all that afternoon sun. So we called the front desk to ask to be moved to another room. After almost 2 hours, we were transferred to a room on the east side. The room felt more comfortable and colder even with the AC at 21 degrees. Anyway, everything about the room was great. The king sized bed and pillows were so comfortable. The wifi was fast and was consistent. The kitchen had complete equipment & accessories: huge fridge, convention cooktop, range hood, oven, hot water kettle, coffee maker, utensils, plates, glasses, etc. The room had plenty of storage space and shelves, aside from hanging space. The closet doors had huge mirrors too. The bathroom was a nice size, as well as the shower. The hot water was instantaneous and water pressure was strong. The shower drain also drained the water very quickly. It also had a wall mounted tv, facing the toilet! So convenient :) I specially loved the writing desk inside a little nook. I was able to work quietly and privately. It had tons of outlets too. Since we had our puppy with us, we had to pay an additional fee of Php1000 (for the whole stay). They gave us a dog bed and bowls for food and water. The room came with complimentary breakfast buffet. We went at around 8am. The place was about 80% full. The food selection was quite good and complete: beef, chicken, fish, pork, pancake, salad, congee, noodles, sausage, cheeses, croissants, breads, plain/garlic rice, fruit juices, coffee/tea. Their pain au croissants were to die for! They were so flaky and soft! Better than most popular bakeshops around! Kudos to the chef! Upon checking out, we were assisted by a soft spoke and smiling guy named Blue who carried our bags from our room to our car. The bellmen by the door were also courteous.
