      wonderful experience”

This was our second stay at Jepun Didulu cottage and we will be returning on our next trip. Amazingly beautiful family who run the cottages who do everything they can to make your stay perfect. Our children decided they would stay and live there. Food was all fresh and tasty. Pool is clean and gardens beautiful. All trips out were organised with the owner and was charged at a very reasonable price, a private driver would not have been cheaper. We stay in the bamboo cottages and love the bathrooms with flowers and garden growing. The most wonderful asset to any hotel is excellent staff and this is a place were no request is to hard, where our children feel welcome and happy and they will do everything to look after you. We traveled with one person who was unwell when we arrived and are grateful for the excellent help with our children allowing time to rest and recover, meals delivered to us to avoid getting up and the regular checks that we were okay. Can't wait to be back next year

      Bungalow Getaway”

Close to white sand beach, attentive and accommodating staff, authentic Balinese experience

I cannot recommend this place enough for those travelers looking to wander from the beaten path. The Jepun Didulu Cottages consist of only three bungalows (for now) and guests there are attended by what seems like an entire village. It's a very affordable stay, especially considering that the price includes breakfast and free motorcycle rides to the beach. The hosts always went above and beyond to accommodate us. When they heard we wanted to check out the traditional market, they volunteered to take us there at 5:30 in the morning. When they heard one of my friends loved rambudan (a fruit), they made it a point to drop off a bag during our stay. Also, they arranged our travel, renting a car and a driver for us at affordable prices. At the Jepun Didulu Cottage, it definitely feels like being adopted by a Balinese family for your vacation.

      Beautiful location and awesome staff”

We arrived around 8pm on a Friday night. Exhausted after the long drive from Denpasar, Mangku and the lovely staff at Jepun Didulu welcomed us with open arms. From the minute we got their, we were treated to a 5 star experience. The free breakfast was delicious, complete with a meal of your choice, fruit, coffee and juice. Of course, the service was top notch as always. Jepun is nestled in the hills of the Karangasem region but just a few short minutes to the beautiful beaches of Candidasa. Virgin Beach (easily one of the cleanest beaches in Bali) is right down the street from Jepun. I can't speak for the bungalow units as we stayed in the "deluxe" unit but from the outside, they all looked very nice. The property itself was immaculately cared for. The pool was clean and the scenery was simply majestic. At the end of our dream-like stay, the Jepun staff gave us a little farewell gift and we were on our way. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll certainly stay at Jepun. You should too.

      A hidden gem”

Friendliness of the staff, great bungalow style, felt like part of the village community

Our stay at Jepun Didulu was fantastic. The bungalows themselves are a neat Bali experience, especially the outdoor bathrooms. It's nestled in the foothills, so expect nature---geckos, birds, bugs, etc. The staff is incredibly friendly---going out of their way to be accommodating. Transportation to the nearby Virgin Beach was great---the staff is friends with a bunch of local boys and we just hopped on the back of their motorbikes and zipped our way to the beach. The boys are completely at ease on the bikes, making it a fun and safe experience. The beach itself is gorgeous, with plenty of snorkeling opportunities. The staff can also recommend you to a good warung on the beach where they'll grill you up fresh fish caught that very morning. Overall, if you're looking for a quiet getaway, I'd highly recommend Jepun Didulu.

Fantastic bungalows with very attentive staff”

      service, price, quality of room

The staff at Jepun Didulu Cottage are extremely attentive and were willing to help with anything I needed. The accommodation is a 20-25 min walk or very quick ride of a motorcycle taxi to the beautiful White Sand Beach. Manku, the owner, invited his guests to the local ceremony on the beach which added interest to my stay. It's also within easy driving distance of the Bali Asli Cooking School. The cottages themselves were very clean, spacious and had a small kitchen for doing some cooking. Highly recommended.

      Beautiful place, Wonderful people”

Easy access to various attractions, full transport arrangement by request; Quality beach nearby; Friendly, extremely responsive and supportive host/staff- all in a charming place

We should start by thanking to the owner’s entire family for their smile, friendship and overall support to whatever issues or requests, truly wonderful people! That said, let us briefly describe our impressions after spending several days at Jepun Didulu; Should you arrive directly from the airport, it takes about 1.5 h drive from Denpasar; asking JD for transportation is both convenient and valuable as you get a lot of hints and ideas from the owner by the time of reaching there. The cottages are clean and charming, providing a comfortable starting for the excursions to come; please think to JD as a good base to go around the island for various attractions, from temples to rice fields, water palaces and natural beauties. The location is also absolutely great if you want to enjoy a quiet and relaxing beach, namely the White Sand Beach. The water is clear and suitable for snorkeling while the landscape is spectacular, bordered by rocky hills (check the internet for actual pictures); fresh fish and seafood are plenty and reasonable in the small restaurants just on the beach; access is by 10min sheer fun riding of scooters provided by your host; just free your mind and let the nature stepping in! Needless to repeat ourselves, simply ask the owners and staffs for whatever suggestion and support, transportation, meals, etc.; you will receive the utmost attention, with a smile! Lastly, since Bali is fairly big and there are many highlighted spots on the map while JD is rather hidden at a glance, it would be a good idea to stay at least a couple of days here, to understand and connect yourself to the genuine Balinese culture and atmosphere, before moving (should you prefer so) to more crowded and commercial places/beaches.

      Very pleasant stay”

We stayed 4 nights at Jepun Didulu and enjoyed every minute there. Its a small hotel with 4 beautiful cottages. Pak mangku and the staff are very friendly and helpful, they made us feel very welcome all the time. It is located in a non touristic area, but close to a very nice beach. So if you want to escape Bali's busy tourism and enjoy some peace in a nice place with friendly hosts, i would highly recommend Jepun Didulu!

      Beautiful place and people!Unforgettable experienc”

Great place, beautiful warming greating and extraordinary service during the stay; Oranic breakfast and homemade food; gifts from owner and hotel; rides with bikes or car to the Virgen Beach. Love it!

Ubsolutly love everything about this hotel: exotic bamboo bungalows, natural furniture, super comfortable king bed with baldahin, bathroom on fresh air with flowers growing in, beautiful outside terrace to spend evening with some drinks! Bungalows always cleaned and tidy! Kids friendly pool with mineral water direct from the source like a SPA on open air! All the hotel water mineral and drinkable (we came from Dubai, so we know the value of good quality water). Organic homemade food for breakfast and anytime you need! Amazing view! One of the best real places in Bali near Virgen Beach. Beautiful people, all staff including owner in anything they do providing EXTRA MILE! Feels like anything they will do is made with LOVE and passion and anytime they willing to satisfy any of your need or wish. Super welcoming! We were welcomed with Jepun flowers necklaces and cold ice tea and left to the airport witj beautiful souvenirs for memory! All the small things makes you feel home! We were with 2 years old son and he absolutely enjoyed his staying for maximum, all the staff gave him extra ettention and free breakfast also :) Thanks to Guys from the Hotel to taking us to the Virgen Beach every day with bikes or Car and picking up werever we needed 24/7. Special Thanks to Made for a great city tour and the best food we have ever eat in Bali in his Warung on the beach "BUDI AYU" cooked by his lovely wife Ayu! Location of the hotel is also good, its not that touristy, so you can stay in harmony with nature and discover new things. Recommend to visit Chocolate factory and both Water Palaces. Privat Tours and trips is better to get directly from the hotel, they are giving the best price in Bali and good air conditioned comfortable cars, so perfect to Airport transfer also as long as delivery to next destination! Wifi was the best from all the other places in Bali! Sounds of nature, but Not even 1moscito during all stay!!!Perfect place-paradise! Love it 100% and will be back!!!

      Pleasant stay”

Eco cottage, homestay feel, good base for car trips

Budget accommodation comprised of four cottages, one with air-conditioning and three with fan. We stayed during a dry season in cottage with fan which stayed cool even during hot days thanks to constant breeze from the ocean. Room was clean, with an eco charm, making the stay very enjoyable. Family running the accommodation is very nice and helpful, giving it a homestay feel. We had a car (love driving in Bali) and did trips in the environs (nature, beaches, agricultural landscapes, temples). In the evening the returns felt like coming home, and we had good, simple meals prepared by the family. Pool small but OK, internet fine for email and short browsing. Nothing fancy but worth the money, 33 Ozi dollars, would not pay more than 45.

      Worth the visit”

Friendly staff, lovely property, big rooms

We were greeted with welcome drinks and leis made of frangipani flowers. Our 2 rooms were big, clean and comfortable. The staff were always busy keeping the grounds looking beautiful. Our host dropped us off at the nearby white sand beach, and when we hadn't come back by dusk (we were walking back) he came looking for us and gave us a ride home! This guesthouse is not convenient to tourist restaurants, but does have a simple menu with decent food. Upon checkout we received a Bali gift from our hosts. We recommend this guest house for the Candidasa and/or Tirta Gangga area.

      Awesome stay”

Bamboo rooms; very helpful staff; Very relaxing site

A very nice small size hotel between Candidasa and Amlapura. Only 3-4 rooms, made on poles, out of bamboo with nice interior. Kitchenettes are also available and very nice bathrooms. The garden is very relaxing and well maintained. Breakfast in the garden is a very nice experience. The staff is very helpful in providing help in the rooms, but also for giving advice for visiting the area and informative about balinese/indonesian culture. The only minor negative point is the traffic on the small road next to the hotel, starting early morning, but we got quickly used to that and kept on sleeping.

      Service, Location, Simple

I live in Bali and know this simple, bamboo and wood style living. If a tourist I would recommend a night or two here. They marry simple with creature comforts well. Hire a scooter and head to White sands beach close by, plus Candidasa not too far away too. I nice experience and would stay there again for a short trip away.

great staff, location and cottage feel

My friend and I loved it. The cottage is set amongst rice fields and a short walking distance from temples, schools and the Bug Bug market, which is a traditional market that has fresh fruits and vegetables, a variety of snacks and almost everything else you might need. The cottage has a small kitchen which was nice, as we attempted to cook the fresh produce we got from Bug Bug. The staff are wonderful and went above and beyond their duties, including buying chillies and soy sauce for us in the middle of the night. The owner drove us to the airport and took us

Amazing Staff & Wonderful Stay ”

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights including during Nyepi (silence day). The owner, Mangku, personally called us after we checked in to welcome us and invite us to join a small feast he was organizing for the day before Nyepi. The manager, Gusti was so nice and helpful as well! Honestly, all the staff are just beyond kind here and will go out of their way to make you feel welcome and comfortable. Location is a little further from the main part of Candidasa but they rent scooters so it was no problem for us. Overall, a really unforgettable stay for us!

Beautiful place with the most kind and attentive staff”

I have never been to a hotel in Indonesia where the staff have been this kind and attentive. They really go above and beyond. From making us flower necklaces when we arrive to making us parting gifts of bracelets when we left. They made shaw we go to the places we needed to go when we were there. One time they drove me and my girlfriend to the beach. When it got dark without asking they drove down to see if we were ok and brought us back. We were only walking back and were ok, I just thought that was really kind. The hotel is a beautiful place not far from the beach. Even though we drove there it is only a 10 min walk. The food was delicious and even though we got there late they told us to say what we want and will have it ready when we arrived. Also the manager Gusti Mangku not only drove us from the hotel to our next hotel in Kuta for a very reasonable price. Stopping at coffee plantations, traditional silver smiths and Baltic material makers on the way. He also drove us the next day to our next destination and the next day, making sure we got on the boat to Penida Nusa and that we got tickets for a decent price. Overall I thoroughly recommend staying at this hotel and meeting this lovely family :)

      Nice cottages in Perasi”

Staff, cottages, proximity to surf beach

The cottages had a nice rustic feel to them, and the staff were really helpful and kind. Nice welcome touch with fresh flower leis and delicious fruit shakes. Nearby is Jasri surf beach, a really mellow spot that's nice and secluded. The only down sides were the pool (small, water too warm, felt a bit grimy) and the gecko poop (an inevitable part of cottage living but not for everyone -- just reflect on all the mosquitos they ate!).

      Location, Location, Location

This area of Bali is quite nice. The rooms are not bad but unfortunately on a hill. Which equals great views but scooters blasting up the hill all night. Don't recommend for light sleepers. Great staff.
