Hotels near Yoko Gushiken Monument

The room is quite big and we chose a sea view room so it was wonderful! Beds are big! We could see sunset from the hotel grounds and it felt very relaxing. The staff were super friendly (starting from the hotel pick-up from the airport), we really loved our stay here! The onsen is a little small, but they have other facilities, two pools, table tennis/pool table for us to enjoy ourselves. The best is the star terrace, remember to visit it!

The hotel is new so all facilities are kept in very good order. The washing and drying machines are very useful. Hotel staff is considerate, guests can borrow free washing powder from them. The well equipped kitchen, we could cook our own meal. The hotel is not very big but still provides more than enough parking lots for guests. Thank you for the staff who helped me booking the local tour by making so many telephone calls. The only drawback is that the reception closes after 10pm.

Hotel itself gives an impression that it hasn't been updated for some time now. However hotel staff are very friendly speak both English and Japanese to cater for local and foreign tourists alike. I was given a clear guide about the hotel's policies, amenities and also a useful information about the local area. Hotel Rasso also offers complimentary drinks to all their guests (certain times), free bike hire for those wishing to explore the ishigaki island. Whilst the hotel room itself wasn't exceptional, it was clean, neat tidy and contained all the necessary amenities. My only complain about this Hotel would be a rather bad smell that comes out from the bathroom. I wish hotel management would take a note and make a required maintenance of the pipe system to allow guests to enjoy relaxing evening baths. Bonus: There are bath salts available for free to all guests at the hotel which was a nice touch! Recommended.

Great location, easy access (5min walk max) to airport bus, 2-10 minutes walk to get to many restaurants, local market, shops, etc. Staff was friendly, check-in easy. Facilities were okay! Understand that with the Ishigaki humidity, some aspects are bound to be expected. Given these circumstances, room was clean and adequate. Very hard bed - if you're not used to it, might not have the best rest, but it was okay. Balcony and the view were great to have. Toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash) were great and much better quality compared to "higher end" hotels I've stayed in across Asia for work. Next time I'm back for work I would stay again just to have the balcony view, close access to everything and the nice toiletries! If you're the type of person that wants to spend most of your vacation in the hotel, look elsewhere, but if you want a place that is ideal for you accessing everything else Ishigaki has to offer, this is great.

The hotel is perfectly situated; max 3 minute walk to either the bus terminal and ferry terminal. It is also very close to the local shopping arcade and restaurants. Hotel staff is absolutely friendly and lovely and have gone above and beyond for our stay. I had difficulties booking activities prior to our trip as most I found were mostly in Japanese and I emailed the hotel and they very kindly organized it on my behalf. Breakfast each day had a different selection of local flavours you could choose from to have onigiri freshly made before you; they were delicious! The double room we stayed in was a decent size for two adults, and the beds were large and comfortable. Highly recommended and would definitely stay again!

it's a very comfortable room in a very nice location. it is very close to the airport and provides necessary facility for a comfortable stay. stove, microwave oven, toaster, kettle, fridge crockery, cutlery, pots and pans are provided and there is a washing machine in the balcony. unlike other japanese hotels, pyjamas were not provided so you might want to bring your own. the staff members are very nice and helpful. i drove around but there's also a bus stop right outside the hotel so it was rather convenient too. as the hotel is very close to the airport you may here the planes if you stay in the hotel during the day but it did not bother me as i go out during the day.

This hotel is just next to the bus terminal. I didn’t even need to use my GPS to find this hotel. The room and the beds (we got 2 twins beds) are not big but can fit two adults and two 5 & 8 years old kids. We moved the two beds next to the wall so no one fell down to the floor at night. Haha. At your stay, if you don’t need any house keeping to clean your room or just need them to change the towels and make the beds but no need to clean the floor, they will give you some gifts when you check out. I like this idea a lot. Regarding the service, I have to give them a big thumb up. Before I went there, I emailed them to help me make some restaurant booking. They helped me to call the restaurants one by one. This is a huge help for me because not all Japanese can speak English. And Belinda is from Hong Kong. Yeah! I can speak Cantonese with her and she helped me call the local tour and massage shop to make the booking. Thank you so much Belinda. I definitely will choose Cucule again.

The view from the room is excellent!! Everything in the hotel is good, it is clean and the staff are super nice! However I'm not quite satisfy with the rooms arranged. We booked 1 premium ocean view room and 1 superior room for 1 night. We are family and we wish to have 2 adjacent rooms. The staff said there is no vacant adjacent rooms that suit our room type and finally we downgraded both the rooms to deluxe. There is a price difference and it is unable to refund since we booked via the agent....

Price: Patina offers the best value for money. Unbeatable price with breakfast included in the rate. Breakfast - breakfast, with a great selection of fantastic western and authentic Japanese food, pastries and drinks Staff: staff that work in shift could barely speak English, however they are very helpful. Travelling around ishigaki with buses is quite a headache to some due to the infrequent schedules, however the staff still try hard to explain any question we had the best she can, offer us a bus schedule and circle in the stop/places we wanted to go. Expected some time to do the talking though. Room: clean, with nice amenities. There is a green incentive where u can collect points for not replacing the toiletries. However, we forgot to fill in the form the first night, the toiletries were still replaced though Location: unlikely other hotels in ishigaki port, patina was not conveniently located right next to the ferry terminal nor the bus terminal. However walking to these two terminals is just within 5-10 mins. It was nicely located in a quiet area away from the busy Main Streets yet still within a walking distance. Sometimes it is nice to have a little relaxing walking back to hotel after a full satisfying dinner with summer breeze. *This won't be a big problem for those who travel with car. Overall experience - great value for money, with nice Japanese coffee and cold green tea at reception that the guest can enjoy all time. The only thing regret about Patina is that it was so popular that bookings were full. We managed to book for two nights only with agoda online and regretfully booked another hotel which is closer to the port/bus terminal on the third night. Wish we could have stay the whole time at patina.

The hotel is located about 10 mins walk from the downtown Ishigaki, which is great because you don't have to drive and pay for parking. If you just don't like waling, the hotel even provides rental bicycles that are free for the first 2 hours. The only down side about this hotel is that the parking space outside the hotel is not quite enough. During our stay, we had to park to the free parking lots provided by the hotel, which are a few blocks away. Overall speaking, it was a pleasant stay.

This island is definitely best with a car or motorbike. Like many hotels it’s a drive to get to places of interest (but lovely driving around this beautiful island). Hotel is clean though a little dated in the rooms. Prices on the island are very inflated you would get something really nice on the mainland for this price but here you would have to pay 2-3x that. I recommend visiting outside of the height of summer as it gets boiling and humid! Skip ugly Okinawa main island and come here instead!

This hotel's location is great! Located near downtown where most of the bars and restaurants are located. There are two Family Mart stores walking distance from this hotel. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful despite the language barrier. We were very lucky to get our rooms at a discounted rate through a booking agency but I feel that all of the hotels on this island are overpriced for what they all offer. Nevertheless if I find the time and a great deal on the hotel again then I will be returning to this same hotel!

I intend to stay in Ishigaki for two days but we face the no.9 typhoon , it hit the ishigaki hard so all the airline are cancel We need to contineued stay in the hotel and need a help from all hotel staff The hotel staff help us a lot (try to call airline for us , help us as much as they can) All the facility and store in Ishigaki was closed , the hotel help the guess by provide a dinner (curry night!) for all of the guess I really appreciate the service mind of the staff !! And cleanliness of the hotel

It was a great hotel in a good location, close to the pier and bus stop station and near city center as well. There are 24 hours drug store and convenient store, but supermarket is a bit far away. The hotel room is like an apartment, there is a kitchen and a big fridge and microwave, it is great when you can store some microwave foods for late night. There is also a private beach nearby where you can paid to get in, is cheap. Worth a try.

Great location, just next to the main street of souvenir shops, restaurants and family mart. A very new and clean hotel which was just opened on 18 Apr 2019. The room is actually for 3 ppl with 3 beds but as my booking is for 2 ppl, they have removed the third bed so the room is relatively spacious in Japan. There is a balcony of the room too. The breakfast looks good but our booking didnt include that so we didnt try it. The only drawback is, the room is a bit noisy. You can hear the noise from the corridor and the shower of the next room. The windows are very sound-proof though.
