This is the best hotel we ever stayed. The staff are very friendly, helpful and thoughtful. We request for a morning call as our daily tour start as early as 4:00AM local time and the front desk staff never failed to follow up with us about the our preferred breakfast so that they can get their chef to prepared for us to take out. The breakfast is a complimentary with the room we booked and yet the staff is thoughtful to prepared it for us. I think the manager really train their staff well to understand the true meaning of hospitality where even a 5 star hotel might able to provide this kind of heartfelt service. The room is very clean and the bed is super comfy. Daily room service to tidy up our room was given an excellent service as well. This is a worth staying hotel as a very reasonable price lets not mentioned their buffer breakfast where we manage to enjoy it on the last day of our vacation. Thank you so much Ayaartta Hotel Malioboro, you have make my trip memorable.

The exterior of Melia Purosani looks very pretty. It overlooks the cityscape and the position of our assigned room is facing where the sun rise and sets. The deluxe room is huge for 2 persons, and every day there is a complimentary snack. It's a nice gesture after a day out traveling! The restaurant where it serves breakfast has very good chef! the Nasi Padang is our favourite on the Menu. Generally the food quality and taste is above average as it suited our taste buds. One of our good experiences in Yogyarkarta! This hotel is definitely a must-visit! It's a stone throw away from Malioboro shopping district, the Ambarukko mall if you would like some variety shopping and it's a 30-45 mins away from Airport. Such ease! Thank you to the staff who worked tirelessly over the Puasa Holiday to make our experience in Yogyakarta one of the best!

We booked four rooms during our trip to Yogyakarta. The staffs are amazing, they do their best to meet our needs. We requested for connecting rooms and they fulfil our request. We love the pools and also the outdoor garden. The only improvement for them is to clean the room carpet as stains are visible. We had wedang ronde (ginger drink) at night and the peanut we had were stale and they have no kolang kaling / palm fruit / atap seed. We didnt have breakfast there so I can't comment on that. The hotel is located within walking distance from malioboro street, but far enough so we were not stuck in traffic. Nearby the hotel, there is a gudeg place that is nice and cheap. We love our stays there and will come back again when we go to Yogyakarta

The moment I step my foot inside this hotel, I fell in love. <3 The staff greet me and my friend warmly and they are very polite and helpful. The room was clean and room security was excellent. They provide daily room service and they provide kettle but no refill for complimentary tea and nescafe but it is still acceptable for us. Bed and pillow were really comfortable. This hotel is nearby Malioboro road and Malioboro mall. It is also just 100 metres from Tugu Train Station (Yogyakarta Station). If I ever come back to Yogyakarta, I will definitely stay here again.

This is a new hotel. Lucky for us! The hotel upgraded our reservation from a deluxe room to an executive room for free without additional charge. At that time because the deluxe room on high floor is not available. The staff hotel are friendly and the room is clean and comfort to stay.. The location is quite near from Malioboro and Yogyakarta Palace ... It is about ten minutes walk. And if you need Bakpia Pathok for a gift from Yogyakarta, the location is also near too..

We enjoyed ur 4 days stay at Neo.. The location is perfect, very near to Palace, plenty of restaurant around and not in traffic jam area.. It was pleasant neighbourhood. The Alun Alun south and Taman sari is basically on walking distance, if you want. THe parking lot is spacious. Our room with double bed was larger that twin beds on 8th floor. but a bit noisy from little kids with families. Minusses are the pool was only for kids, and the pillow is too soft, we didn't notice that were additional pillows on the closet. Recommended and will stay again

Great location (3 min walk to the beginning of Malioboro st), cleanliness and breakfast-to-go (as most tours in Yogyakarta start very early). Can choose American bfast (omelette, sausage, bread, sliced fruits) or Traditional Indonesian bfast. There’s a vegetarian option too. Jus need to inform reception the day before. Receptionists all speak good English which made everything a breeze. Beds were super comfy, toiletries gd. All in all a very pleasant stay. Our only peeve, as the other guests point out is the soundproofing. We could hear pple talking or walking in e corridor, the flushing of toilet bowl next door and even the shower (we were in Rm 615). Good thing our kids were in the Connecting Rm to ours..otherwise we’d be writing abt noise from there too as the door/wall are so thin. But since we have not stayed in other hotels in Jorga before, we cannot be sure if other hotels don't have the same issue w soundproofing as well. Best is jus bring ear plugs 😉

The most pleasant stay that I had in long time. The location is great, and the staff was friendly and charming, just like the beautiful city of Yogyakarta. A truly heartfelt service Breakfast buffet was excellent, great coffee by Illy, with egg station and all. Food choices were rotated every morning. BUT, It has the worst shower design compared to what I have seen so far.

Overall comfortable stay. Bed was comfortable, good water pressure, plushy towels, toothbrushes were provided, everything works! Room was either dim or very bright,had to ask for refill of shower gel twice in 3 days, water from bath flows to toilet area when you take a shower. Front desk staff helped with restaurant reservation. Even security was helpful and friendly, she showed us to some yummy rumah makan padang for our first meal in jogja. Hotel is so centrally located, you can walk to Kraton (Yogyakarta Palace)and 5-min to Jl.Malioboro. Hotel cafe has some great local items, prices averaging around USD4. Took a while for staff to settle the bill though. Overall, good job!

it is my 2nd stay at this hotel, friendly and polite staffs. Clean room, comfy bed and breakfast is ok. Hotel located at the heart of Yogyakarta Malioboro. Easy access to everywhere, shopping malls, restaurants and local culinary streets food. Opposite is the Yogyakarta train station, mind with the sound of the train. Will stay here again for my next visit to Yogyakarta.

Over the past year we have spent 3 months travelling throughout SE Asia and this hotel is my favorite of any place we have stayed. The hotel looks brand new. From the location, the facilities, cleanliness and the value for money, this hotel simply can't be beat! But if that isn't enough, the staff here are some of the most friendly, helpful we have met anywhere. We felt like we received the service one would expect from a 5 star resort. We felt like we were were part of the family. And thanks to some Javanese language lessons from the head chef, our entire trip will be one we will never forget! You simply won't find a better hotel for the money. In fact, I doubt you could find a better hotel for twice the money! I can't wait to come back some day.

Before choosing my accomodation for my stay in Yogyakarta, I had checked out the Customer Reviews for the various hotels listed by Agoda. The reviews for the Phoenix were mainly positive but one can never ever be sure until one gets to experience the hotel personally. And what a wonderful and memorable experience it was. The Phoenix comes with all the amenities and trappings that one would expect from any modern hotel but it retains an old world charm that would endear it to any discerning guest. It's a pity that I did not get to try out its spa or its gym, due to a packed itinerary that included a pre-sunrise climb up Mt Merapi and excursions to Borobudur and Prambanan, but there is no doubting the excellent level of room comfort and, except for the problem i had with securing smaller denominations of the local currency, the admirable promptness of response whenever I had a service request. The location of the hotel was excellent, with a 24-hour convenience store less than 100 metres away, beside which is the Tiga Nyonya Restaurant, an oasis of epicurean delights. The Malioboro Street, the main shopping street in Jogja was also nearby as was the Kraton (the Sultan's Palace). While I usually eat outside of any hotels that i stay in, i did have one meal sent up to my room - Mangut Kerapu Lolos Duri, a dish based on an ancient Yogyakarta recipe, which was served with steam rice and, on request, a not insignificant portion of sambal terasi. It turned out to be one of the best meals that i had during my stay in Jogja. The staff members were very welcoming and always had a smile on their faces. When i had asked for names and locations of good restaurants offering local fare, the recommendation provided by one of the hotel staff was spot on and led to my enjoying a simple, inexpensive yet delicious lunch of rice with bebek goreng (fried duck) at a nearby eatery. I was on official duty trip to attend a training agenda at the 101 Tugu Hotel Yogyakarta during October 8 - 10, 2018. I get my wife to join me on that special occasion, we both arrive on October 7 (Sunday) and enjoying staying in Yogyakarta. During Oct. 8 - 10 , every 8 AM - 4.30 PM was my time to attend the course (training) after that time, my wife and I went sightseeing around Yogyakarta and enjoy the moments, enjoy the food experience, very exciting .. .. Room was okay,place are convenence. Breakfast was average (you can’t expect a grand breakfast with 3 star hotel. Availability of table and chair for breakfast is limited. Hairdryer is not available in room,have to call reception and need to eait another 3 hour because it was lend to other guest. So please make sure you bring your own hair dryer if stay at this hotel. Overal,i give 7 of 10 for this hotel

We stay there during weekends. My children is very happy because this hotel has swimming pool and the location is nearby center of yogyakarta city and palace. We can spend our time for walking around malioboro, buying some gift, cloth and other street food. The staff is harmful and helpful, they always try to keep relationship with all guess. Next time if I go to yogyakarta I planned to stay at this hotel.

Staying for couple days, The location with this price value is the main reason why i choose MG hotel. A couple minutes from Yogyakarta main tourist destination, Malioboro. The room are ordinary regular hotel room. This is a new hotel, Air Conditioner is functionally great cold as it should be, showering using hot water is relaxing after full day traveling, thou there should be a mirror in the toilet. Breakfast should be more creative, not Fried rice every single morning. In conclusion.. love this hotel, the moment. Would stay again if i had the chance. :)

I arrived too early in this hotel on my first day in Yogyakarta. Unfortunately, they were fully booked and I may not be accommodated for check-in. I just asked the receptionist if I could stay in the lobby while waiting, and he said yes. It was 5am, and no restaurants were open yet. By 7, I told him that I'll have breakfast first. If you'd ask me, the wait is worth it. Facilities are nice, my room is also nice, with cable TV, hot shower, etc. I definitely will recommend this hotel.

Had a room at the 5th floor, with a terrace overlooking the skyline near the lift lobby. very quiet, not noisy at all. Excellent customer service. Room was bare minimum with attached toilet and shower, enough for me and my wife. No wardrobe,fridge, safe box in the room. Bottled mineral water is provided in the room. Surrounding the hotel are some of the best local food you can find. Right at the heart and beginning of Malioboro street. The hotel is adjacent to Malioboro Mall, where you can find the usual fast foods (didn't try it though, prefer to try local food). Wifi is very weak in the room, except for the lobby area. Breakfast was limited to a main meal and some side meals. (Indonesian cuisine only). We had our driver/guide. very knowledgeable, on time service, even at the crack of dawn, and he knows Yogyakarta very well. You can even have customize tour at affordable rates. Foods to try and recommended: 1) Nasi Gudeg 2) Nasi Rames 3) Terang Bulan (Apam Balik) 4) Sate Ayam (the ones sold by the Javanese Women at the square at the end of Malioboro street, towards Kraton) 5) Ayam Goreng Suharti Resto 6) Grilled Gurame at Kali Opak Resto, near Prambanan Temple

Stayed 2 nights. Staff were very friendly, got a free upgrade to a better room. Swimming pool and bar on the roof. Ideal location, just off the shopping street and next to the main tour booking street. Also short walk to the sultans palace. For me very important: the hotel was very clean! During the day we saw things being cleaned (table legs, skirting boards etc) which I'm sure most western hotels never clean. The only thing that could have been better is less noise. The best rooms are on the 6th floor, as is the pool, so from early in the morning the lift and the children made quite a lot of noise. Would definately book again though!

The room is spacious Staffs are friendly and attentive The hotel is quiet. It took me 10 minutes to walk to Malioboro (the main street of Yogyakarta) The bathroom is clean but the hairdryer was hooked at location difficult to use (above water tank of closet). The tissue roll is hooked on the wall too far to reach while sitting. Breakfast is not as good as you would expect for the rate. Some Yogyakarta budget hotel offer better breakfast

there is no substitute to abadi hotel jogja when you visit yogyakarta by train. coming out from the train station across the street is the hotel. no need to get a taxi or bejak. the hotel is worth enoough for a few days/nites stay with its very reasonable rate. they have free breakfast and including an afternoon tea/coffee snacks with native delicacies/sweets. the staff are very friendly and courteous, first and foremost, the chef cook, tono. bejak (trikes) are just infront for malioboro tour with all the batik stores. vans are available at hotel counter for borobudur and prambanan temples tour that include other areas in a 8-10 hour rent at rm400,000. you experience being a “millionaire” in indonesia with their currency in use, by the thousands and millions in denomination.
