as soon as i arrived the hotel, i felt it was a white palace it was not gigantic nor extravaganza. more likely, it gave the feeling of calmness and relaxation in a white horizontal structure. my parents stayed in a villa which was a bit distantly located from main hotel, but you can easily access to villa with a buggy (24-hr driver service)with no charge (tip will be appreciated when you check out or everytime you use buggy if possible) the villa was fantastic with personal pool & jacuzzi inside. inside the villa, you have nespresso machine, ipod adapter, guess every gadget was accommodating & if you need anything else personal, then it will be provided. spa was a world-class one so you should try. i stayed in a hotel and everything was perfectly accommodating. i used a gym couple of times. it was not a huge one but everything was in there as far as the gym equipment goes and everything was new & trendy. if you ask for a personal yoga or pilates class, it will be provided as well. more than anything, i loved the pool!!! there are 3 pools in the hotel and two pools are just the extension of the woods and you feel like you are happily naked in the nature :)one pool exists purely for swimming purpose. so you have everything as far as water needs goes. bar was great, too. cozy & trendy there is jazz performance every night (from i guess 7ish pm or so) in a whole, it was a great r&r i totally recommend this luxurious & great hotel!!!

I am always amazed to read some reviews on Tripadvisor and the things that people complain about. This is a fabulous hotel, truly 5 star. It is not cheap - but I have paid more for a 5 star hotel in central London and this is a resort-style location. Rooms are gorgeous with state of the art sound system, bathtub, rain shower. The pool area is huge and fabulous for sunbathing or just chilling. There is a great swim-up bar. Breakfast was good, they will cook you any kind of egg dish, tomatoes etc if you ask, and there's nice dum sum and pastries. The hotel is beautifully designed - very suited to the 'trendy' young set. Because of this, they do tend to hold events there - on the Saturday I stayed, there was a Belvedere Vodka party taking over the whole pool area with loud house music, lots of wannabees and models. I could understand why families with young children would be peeved by this as it was very noisy - though there was still plenty of room in the pool and an area reserved for guests. I didn't mind as I enjoyed watching and taking advantage of the cheap cocktails. However I would advise calling up to check in advance if there is going to be a corporate event like that happening, in case it would bother you - the hotel is not going to be able to inform all guests if you book online. Overall, a lovely little staycation in a luxurious room with comfortable swimming and sunbathing. Sentosa Cove itself is also lovely with a great selection of restaurants and a few bars where you can happily hang out all day with a book, looking at the yachts. Do go for a recce early, and book yourself a table at your chosen restaurant, as they get full up quickly on weekend nights.

Our family lives in Singapore and just wanted a quiet retreat far a way from the city. Sentosa Resort and Spa set at the eastern end of the island was exactly what we were looking for. If you just want to get a way from it all, this hotel fits the bill. It's a fair distance from the main attractions such as resort world and universal studios (10 minutes via the complimentary shuttle bus) but is just a 5 minute walk to a couple of small "beaches". The hotel also offers complimentary shuttle service to nearby VivoCity. We chose to enjoy the hotel facilities and the gym and pool did not disappoint. My husband and daughter said the gym was the best they have ever used. Equipment is high end and easily accessible. The pool is a "swimmers" pool at 33 meters long. It has a designated lap lane and one long side of the pool is shallow while the rest is deep. There is a pool bar serving drinks and snacks from 11 a.m. and a casual restaurant with pool views We did have an issue with the first room we were shown but manager worked with us to make sure we were not disappointed. We had originally booked a Deluxe room which allowed an extra bed in the room for our 16 year old daughter but when we arrived we found the room was much smaller than expected and the extra bed could only be accommodated by moving other furniture out of the way. The management agreed to a complimentary upgrade and arranged for expedited cleaning of a "family room" which was really two rooms connected by a small foyer and shared bathroom. This made all the difference in being able to enjoy the hotel experience and we will definitely be return customers. if you are traveling with children (young or old) the family room at Sentosa resort ad Spa is the perfect accommodation.
