Hotels near Ujung Water Palace

If you are looking for a place that is quiet but still would like to go out and do a few things, this is the place for you. The hotel was perfect for what we wanted. It is right on the water and the view was magnificent day and night. It was quiet and peacefull with exceptional staff running at your every need. The room was quite clean and the bathroom very spacious. The food was great and prices reasonable. Not too far away are the water temples in Amlepura and White Sand Beach is also close by. Just down the road is great shopping and beautiful restaurants. But for us we were just content with dining at the hotel and listen to the waves. Best time ever!!

this was a pleasant surprise. upgraded to seaview suite, the room exceeded expectations. roomy, exceedingly tidy and the best inclusions (water pressure and hot water poor). staff were excellent, friendly, guests not stand-offish and pleasantly approachable and the pool clean and refreshing. food at breakfast was poor, needs more than provided, surely two eggs wouldn't ruin the bank. coffee and tea shocking. tea insipid, coffee grainy. you could also supply a little fruit juice and offer 2nd cup of brews. location to candi dasa cafes and shopping good and shuttle bus very useful. food and drinks reasonably expensive, go outside 80% of time staff lovely, will arrange most things.

i cannot say anything bad about the alila as it was defiitely a lovely resort. i did find it a very sterile environment as it is particularly popular with europeans looking for a very quiet location where they can stay put. nothing much to do at night - no dvd player in room and only 5 tv stations - which were all awful. you needed to dress a little fancy for dinner and food and drinks were very expensive for bali. candidasa blew mind mind. it is small without all the very typical kuta shops. there are lovely restaurants - do not miss going to la zat - food and location super special and great prices. an absolute must is the "white sand beach" - fabulous white sand blue warm waters and great little beach hacks serving food and drinks - its a day trip for sure. we found all services provided by resort expensive so just did all the same things direct with the locals and cut prices by half - especially the snorkelling tours. if you have a wedding in mind - check out the water palace - it is perfect for that special day. i need a little life around me so this resort was not my husbands or my taste but will suit those looking for a very upmarket retreat. spa was lovely but also very expensive.

We really enjoyed our stay at Sagara. The room is very tastefully decorated and very large with great Aircon and cable TV (with all the channels). The pool area is very pretty with great views and nice beds in the sun or shade. We walked to a few beach bars close by and dinner at Vincent's just up the road was a highlight, some of the best food and service we have had in Bali. Please note on the 2nd floor side there is some construction work going on next door which woke us up early. If you are looking for a sleep-in I would suggest booking a downstairs room.

This hotel is one of those "too good to be true", but in fact it is true. A small hotel where all the rooms face the ocean through huge glass windows. There is a small bit of lawn and then there's the ocean, and waves, and islands in the distance. We took the "Royal" room, and it was HUGE with a high ceiling, and a bathroom as big as a small hotel room, with a shower big enough for two. Rooms come with a nice breakfast that's served in a lovely open air room. The pool is clean. There's a water kettle in the room along with a fridge. Not much on the TV, and I had to pay for hot water at the restaurant, but I was fine with that. There's lots of stuff to do in the vicinity; Padung Bai, the bat cave, Tirtagangga, etc. But, the best is the Virgin Beach about 15 minutes away.

If you are looking for some peace and quiet, book this hotel! Really... think no further, just book it. We stayed in the cottage with fan (no aircon) and it was fine. Being right on the sea, we actually didnt need any aircon cos of the sea breeze. Only thing is bring your own snorkels if you plan to snorkel... none of theirs worked. The restaurant is a bit pricey but there are other options nearby. Overall, the nicest place we stayed in in Bali and we both really recommend it very highly! We wish we could have stayed longer.

Villa Mandala was a lovely location and lovely place to stay, the room was spacious and very comfortable, I think though it is in need of some minor refurbishment, the blind in the shower was broken, the mirrors were getting sad and the towels needed replacing. The grounds were spectacular and the staff so friendly and helpful, unfortunately I'm not sure if it was cause we were there during Galungan, but lots of things were not available from the kitchen, food and drink wise, but the staff did thier best with what they had, and the cooking was wonderful. Will certainly be going back.

This is a cute little hotel. Very homey and relaxing atmosphere hotel. Their Balinese style architecture is the best! Their room concept with terrace and outdoor bathroom is what I like the most! It is not by the beach but they have access to beach that have beautiful view for sunrise and sunset. The hotel is located by a lotus lagoon that also very beautiful. I think this is the benefit of the hotel. Very helpful staff too, they will help us to book car rental, motorcycle, massage, snorkeling etc. Walking distance from convenient store, etc. What they need to improve is just choice for breakfast

first time in Candidasa, a great place to chill out, across the road from Geringsing Bungalows is a most enjoyable Bar/Restaurant. Forget Breakfast and go over the road to Water Garden a good breakfast for a great price. Get a Driver for a few hours and check out The Water Palace, The Chocolate Factory and White Beach (all beaches are dirty looking because of the volcanic ash). We had 4 nights before heading into Kuta/Legian/Seminyak and the associated madness. We did see 5 dogs and a rider on 1 scooter, he stopped at the beach access and the dogs shot off like fleas, something i'm sure you only see in Bali
