Artistic style, cozy feeling, newly built, 10-mins walk to malioboro, right at the opposite of the famous Oseng Mercon Bu Narti, friendly staffs (front office only, other staffs never care to say greetings when meeting guests in the corridor), clean room, comfy bed, 100-120 size for singles, various breakfast choices (mini model of 4-stars hotel breakfast), but they charge 40 thousand for children above 6. A mix feeling of 4-stars hotel and home, really worth to come back... going anywhere at very cheap transportation around city by grab, becak, or transjogja bus, the city itself is quite clean if compared to jakarta, just miserably cannot find delicious street food like anywhere in bali, at least they dont match with my appetite...

Hotel located right in middle of Yogyakarta city! Very near to Marliboro street with just 10 mins by car and also to Prabaran Temple . The service staffs from Swiss café where we had our daily buffet breakfast were excellent especially Della! The buffet breakfast were great with varieties local and western choices . The receptionist and the bell man took care of our request without hesitation .There are free shuttle by hotel to & from Marliboro street and also to airport Only the house keeping forgotten to refill our tea bags for the few days after make up our room. This hotel has an awesome and spectacular view at the roof top pool side with every second of lighting effect from the pool especially at night . We had SPA treatment and Javanese full body massage but didn't enjoyed much as what we had in Bali. Overall I am very satisfied with this hotel and would recommend this hotel for its beautiful room , clean, location and friendly service. Thumbs Up Swissbell Boutiques Hotel!

The exterior of Melia Purosani looks very pretty. It overlooks the cityscape and the position of our assigned room is facing where the sun rise and sets. The deluxe room is huge for 2 persons, and every day there is a complimentary snack. It's a nice gesture after a day out traveling! The restaurant where it serves breakfast has very good chef! the Nasi Padang is our favourite on the Menu. Generally the food quality and taste is above average as it suited our taste buds. One of our good experiences in Yogyarkarta! This hotel is definitely a must-visit! It's a stone throw away from Malioboro shopping district, the Ambarukko mall if you would like some variety shopping and it's a 30-45 mins away from Airport. Such ease! Thank you to the staff who worked tirelessly over the Puasa Holiday to make our experience in Yogyakarta one of the best!

We booked four rooms during our trip to Yogyakarta. The staffs are amazing, they do their best to meet our needs. We requested for connecting rooms and they fulfil our request. We love the pools and also the outdoor garden. The only improvement for them is to clean the room carpet as stains are visible. We had wedang ronde (ginger drink) at night and the peanut we had were stale and they have no kolang kaling / palm fruit / atap seed. We didnt have breakfast there so I can't comment on that. The hotel is located within walking distance from malioboro street, but far enough so we were not stuck in traffic. Nearby the hotel, there is a gudeg place that is nice and cheap. We love our stays there and will come back again when we go to Yogyakarta

This hotel is not without its problems, but it was good enough to extend our stay and go back again. The room is spacious, with a big window, but it has only one chair. There is no safe in the room. The TV is a bit small by today's standards, but works alright, and has about 60 channels. The carpets and furniture has stains but otherwise both the room and bathroom are clean, although the taps are a bit dicey. The wireless internet connection is adequate to check emails, and do bookings, not fast enough for Skype. You need a password to connect, and the login process is a bit awkward. The signal strength was reasonable (in all the 5 rooms that I've tried) but occasionally drops out for a a second or two, and reconnects automatically. The service is excellent. The front desk staff speak adequate English to be helpful. On our return they did not have the booked double room and gave twin room instead for one night. In the double room that we got next day the aircon did not work, and they gave us another room, but after we moved it turned out that they have lost the key to this room and we had to move again. However, when I asked for a complimentary dinner for two (as a compensation for the inconvenience) it was granted without hesitation. Breakfast was included in the room price. The breakfast is buffet style with ample of food and ample of choices (4 fruit juices, dozens of different food, eggs cooked freshly in any style, tea and coffee, different breads, toaster, more than half a dozen of fruits). The hotel has a swimming pool, which is clean and hardly anyone uses it. It its quite pleasant place to relax. The location is hard to comment on, it depends on where do you want to be. Malioborough Street is of course the main drag (with all sorts of shops, ATMs, supermarket etc), the hotel is on its North end and the Palace is on the South end, within walking distance. Start from check in, its make me happy, so quick, only 2 minutes. :) I booked deluxe room and the staff upgrade to executive room, :) i feel so lucky.. without any extra charges. The bell boy are friendly, his name is DITO, the room are CLEAN and BIG, AC so cold :) all perfect for me. Only one thing, probably they need to put one more light so..its not too dark in the night, we were stay in the room for 1 night because feel so tired and get food poison after eat on the street lol Its nice to stay 3 nights in this hotel, i spend 2 night in Jambuluwuk hotel, i'm prefer stay at Cavinton Hotel. The room service and the food are OK but not taste so good. All good for me. It's really nice and feel comfortable to stay in Cavinton Hotel, good price and perfect location, not too far from Malioboro street. Taxi and becak so easy from Hotel, the staff will help to organize it. Its really high recommended to stay in Cavinton Hotel and I will be back with my family and friends. Thanks.

Enjoyed our stay, we booked for one night. The hotel was very clean, the staff is very friendly and the breakfast is outstanding! We liked it so much that we booked for two extra nights. We have been travelling for 2 months straight now in asia m, but this has to be the best and most choice breakfast we have seen so far. They have almost everything! I would give this hotel the maximum score if they also had a gym. But thats personal.

Me and my wife had a very pleasant stay at Ibis hotel. The staffs were very friendly and helpful. It had nice and comfortable room for couple like us. Even though the hotel is very near (walkable) to shopping area - Malioboro road - the hotel surrounding is a bit quiet once you enter the hotel lobby. And of course the hotel is very near to many historical places in Yogyakarta and we also don't have any issue with the transport. You can get it easily outside the hotel. Even though not many choices, the breakfast overall is very good. The only things that need to be improved is the internet connection in the room. It difficult to get connected. You have to go to lobby or garden area for better connection. We have travel many places, and I would say Ibis Styles Yogyakarta is one of the best we have stay and I would like to recommend to other people especially couple to choose this hotel if ever you visit this great Yogyakarta city. Hotel is in a central location, walkable to the infamous Malioboro street. Convenience shops and the mall is just around the block. Relatively new hotel, so not much amenities as yet. Room i took didnt have a fridge, ants came within 6hrs of leaving consumed drink. Sound insulation needs an upgrade, sounds of doors slamming along the corridor were louder than the nearby railway and the moving trains. Staff were pleasant at best.

Over the past year we have spent 3 months travelling throughout SE Asia and this hotel is my favorite of any place we have stayed. The hotel looks brand new. From the location, the facilities, cleanliness and the value for money, this hotel simply can't be beat! But if that isn't enough, the staff here are some of the most friendly, helpful we have met anywhere. We felt like we received the service one would expect from a 5 star resort. We felt like we were were part of the family. And thanks to some Javanese language lessons from the head chef, our entire trip will be one we will never forget! You simply won't find a better hotel for the money. In fact, I doubt you could find a better hotel for twice the money! I can't wait to come back some day.

Booked 2 rooms for 3 nights at 101 was one of my best money ever spent. rooms are new and clean, staffs verfy helpfull eventhough for guess with cars there's very limited parking space (free valet service available). the view from hi-tea spot is great. my only regret for hi-tea was why there's only one complimentary session per room, when there should be 3 complimentary since i booked for 3 nights, or must i reserved in different names and days in a row? one thing may i suggest, the door closer in every room slams the door, it disturb my baby and everyone whose trying to sleep. the 101 hotels must find a way to keep that door closer closed firmly in silence. beside that, it's a perfect comparison between price and place. various meal for breakfast and half rate for kids breakfast, still cheaper compared to other hotels even with 3 stars hotel at malioboro. looking forward to come back next holiday season with my family...

It was a pleasant stay. We got a twin room that is spacious. Bathroom's pretty big too compared with other hotels. There were ants but I don't know if that cannot be helped in this area. There's a laundromat across the street which was very cheap. There's also a tour agency where you can get bookings for the next day. I found them cheaper than booking tours online.

We stay there during weekends. My children is very happy because this hotel has swimming pool and the location is nearby center of yogyakarta city and palace. We can spend our time for walking around malioboro, buying some gift, cloth and other street food. The staff is harmful and helpful, they always try to keep relationship with all guess. Next time if I go to yogyakarta I planned to stay at this hotel.

My friends and I choose this hotel to stay for 2 nights for the following reasons: Location wise it is close to Malioboro where we can shop and dine anytime we want. Very near to tourist attractions. We book a Smart Twin Room, it is simple but it has everything we need, a comfortable bed, a shower and a space big enough for our luggages. We will be out the whole time during our stay, so I guess this is the best deal we got. Breakfast Buffet is good, there are quite a selection. For a 2 star hotel, I think Amaris is a good choice for budget travelers but with a good hotel experience. There is only one comment though, I hope they will use fabric conditioner with the towels, to smell good :)

I have travelled to many countries as a tourist and for business. I have stayed in many hotels but this is by far the best 4 stars hotel I have ever come across. The staff were very attentive, helpful and full of smiles and well mannered. Not just in the hotel, I found people in Jogja are very friendly too. The buffet breakfast has so much variety and very good quality. The hotel has old style Javaish design and yet looks very new. Their attention to details can be seen in through the hotel cleanliness and thier care for customers. Higly recommend this to anyone visiting Jogja.

Pros: Close to the malls and easy accesss to the shops nearby Friendly staff If you want to buy cheap clothes, the store is next to this hotel. Can bargain and the price is cheaper than the ones sold at the Malioboro St. Cons: Quite a hidden place where the car cant go in and the supir can only drop you from far (not advisable to those with lots of bags. In the early morning, there were so many young teenagers hanging out in the balcony. I smiled at them and they just ignored it. Maybe they were not the staff but the reply was quite rude. The toilet door can't be closed because it was broken.

its quite near from jalan malioboro, walk 5minutes and you arrived. or you can took becak for 5k rupiah only to arrive in jalan malioboro. good budget hotel. its a clean room for me. will booked for another trip if i visit jogja with my friends. and tha staff is nice, cause reccomend us for so place worth to visit in jogja. and even the security in the front of hotel is super nice. he call for our online taxi to pickin up us. and also nasi pecel in front of the hotel in the morning is very nice and cheap, its only 10k rupiah.

Had a room at the 5th floor, with a terrace overlooking the skyline near the lift lobby. very quiet, not noisy at all. Excellent customer service. Room was bare minimum with attached toilet and shower, enough for me and my wife. No wardrobe,fridge, safe box in the room. Bottled mineral water is provided in the room. Surrounding the hotel are some of the best local food you can find. Right at the heart and beginning of Malioboro street. The hotel is adjacent to Malioboro Mall, where you can find the usual fast foods (didn't try it though, prefer to try local food). Wifi is very weak in the room, except for the lobby area. Breakfast was limited to a main meal and some side meals. (Indonesian cuisine only). We had our driver/guide. very knowledgeable, on time service, even at the crack of dawn, and he knows Yogyakarta very well. You can even have customize tour at affordable rates. Foods to try and recommended: 1) Nasi Gudeg 2) Nasi Rames 3) Terang Bulan (Apam Balik) 4) Sate Ayam (the ones sold by the Javanese Women at the square at the end of Malioboro street, towards Kraton) 5) Ayam Goreng Suharti Resto 6) Grilled Gurame at Kali Opak Resto, near Prambanan Temple

The hotel is at a nice area, close to many things you'd like. There are lots of food vendors right outside the hotel. The design and architecture of the place is nice, with a park/common area at the center of the hotel. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable, especially considering the very low price of this place. The check in process was also quick, I only had to show the booking confirmation in my iPad. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting the city.

Room 526 had bed bugs. We were shocked to get bitten and found 3 big and fat bed bugs but we don't blame the hotel. We understand that bed bugs are usually from previous guests perhaps. But the issue was addressed immediately and they quickly searched for the pests and their nest, and upgraded us to the executive room. Location was great as its very near to Malioboro Street. Staffs were all polite and helpful. Breakfast spread were awesome during our 4 days stay there. Infinity pool was beautifully located at the rooftop. Price was reasonably affordable, even their room in service food order was quite cheap and delicious. Anyway i think the price for private driver for 12 hours booked by hotel is too expensive at IDR550,000. We only spent 6hrs because the package was only for two places but driver cant take us to other location just because its not in the package. In other Indon cities, i only spent IDR400,000-450,000 for 12 hours and could take us too many places. They were not calculative about the far distance which made us willingly to give the drivers tips.

Great hotel with excellent range of breakfast (Indonesian and western). Location is perfect....it's 13 mins walking to Malioboro Street so you won't see and hear much noises at night. My young nephews didn't mind to walk that far. When they tired, we catched a becak for Rp 15k or Grab taxi for Rp 13k. The hotel is well guarded with friendly staff everywhere. Room is big enough and clean. During breakfast, I was glad that the management facilitated big group of guests separated from other guests so it wasn't crowded and chaotic when we had our breakfast. The hotel consists of 2 main buildings that's connected with stairs. The main obvious difference between the two are from the floor, one is with carpet floor and the other is without carpet floor. We stayed in the room without carpet floor. The room seems old, yet clean and big. The best part of this hotel is on its location, very nearby the famous Malioboro street. The staff also friendly and provide good service. Overall, it's a good and recommended hotel.

I check in the room after I arrived Jogja from airport. It is centrally located and took around half hour from airport to hotel. I have a brief tour around Jogja city - have lunch at Gudeg Yu Djum (which is really nice and must try). It is quite hot during the day so I go back to have a nap. At night i go out for a massage at De WAVE SPA, and then a dinner around the street stall. The next day woke up early for a sunrise tour to Borobudur. It is highly recommended to join the sunrise tour because it is much less crowded and the morning sunrise is really attractive and beautiful. After that i back to hotel and have the breakfast.

The hotel is very well located at the center of tourism activities in Yogyakarta (near Malioboro). Although the road in front of the hotel is quite narrow and the hotel itself is not big (well..., big enough compared to the other hotels at the neighborhood)the service is comparable to those three stars hotels. The food for the breakfast is beyond expectation, served in not many variety but in good quality. The rooms are nice and our kids really love to stay in. Even the best always has weaknesses. The waiting time before checking in was quite long (02:00 p.m.)and the welcome drink should be better if serving the orange juices or other standard drink instead of traditional herbal drink (beras kencur) that only be preferred by limited persons.
