Grand Bali Beach is a lovely place to stay. The largest (and tallest) hotel in Sanur - views from the tower rooms are lovely - the evening low tides over the reefs are beautiful. The hotel lobby bar has a great four piece band that plays most nights. Would definitely recommend the Bali Beach Burger and the pizzas by the pool. Sanur is very quiet but taxis to busier areas are very cheap - only 10000 rupiah more expensive if you use the hotel service (which is very convenient). Massage and water sport people working on the beach are lovely and give a great service - Wayan the reflexologist is fabulous, His sister Ita W (Massage No. 5) gives terrific manicures and her husband Katut is 'The Man' for jetskiing, fishing, snorkelling and trips on the Balinese outrigger canoes. I recommend learning a little Indonesian if you can - everyone really appreciates it. We had a terrific holiday and will definitely be back! Sanur is maybe not the best, perhaps, if you're after Exciting nightlife (such as nightclubs), but the peace is nice and Kuta is a quick taxi away...

we like almost everything about this place. location is very convenient, at the heart of sanur that has plenty of shopping & dining options around. the staff were extremely courteous. the room type that we had booked does not allow for extra bed which we needed for our mum, therefore they upgraded our room for free!! (we still have to pay for the extra bed, but the fact they bumped us up for free is really heartwarming). the room to which we got upgraded, is really spacious with walk-in wardrobe and spacious bathroom & bath tub. one downside is the wall between our room and next door seems to be made of thin gypsum board so at night we were able to join in the conversation of our neighbors. as our 9-month old son was with us and it was already past 11pm, a few bang on the walls sadly ended the short relationship we had with the newly found kind next door friends. we intentionally skipped breakfast at the hotel because we wanted to have local breakfast and thankfully there's a hidden gem not many would know- a warung nasi bali (balinese mixed rice) located just off sanur about 10 minutes drive from the hotel, which was recommended by our kind driver. the beach side view of the resort is quite relaxing, though we didnt have much time to swim on the beach or soak under the sun. sanur beach is famous for its calm waters, so we had nice morning & evening strolls by the beach. there are two pools in the resort, one by the beach side which looks older but with nicer view facing the beach; and another further inside which is nearer to our room and looks newer & nicer. local & international food are easily accessible outside this resort, and together with the so many small independent retail kiosks, these provide pleasant walk whether you are looking for shopping or not. a bit surprised to know that this resort is rated (or rated themselves) as three star. easily a four star for us- but our standards are probably lower than yours.

I had a great stay in Sanur Beach Hotel. Staff were super friendly. Everyone we met along the way greeted us with a big smile. Our suite room was real big. Although hotel is old with older furniture, they more than made up for that with a very well maintained & clean room. Private beach was awesome. Olympic size swimming pool was superb. Breakfast area was huge with a great view as well. Some good choices. Nothing bad to say about the hotel. If they can upgrade the furniture, think this will become a much better hotel. Overall totally enjoyed my stay in this hotel. I only moved to Sanur after spending 3 nights in Kuta. Due to the continuous rain & dirty beaches in Kuta, I thought my trip to Bali was ruined till I moved to Sanur Beach Hotel. The place was just amazing. Wished we could have spent more time in Sanur though. I will highly reccomend this hotel to anyone. Was well worth the money. They had this Spa place which looked like really good although very expensive, but I couldn't try it out as they were fully booked.

This hotel has the most comfortable bed and pillows that I've ever experienced, including big 5 star hotels. The room is large and spotless, with a mini fridge, safe, robe & slippers, and excellent AC. The hotel staff are all very friendly. The pool is clean and refreshing...the only one we experienced in Bali that wasn't like getting into a hot bath in the outdoor heat. The cabana beds are so comfortable, too bad there are only 3 of them. If you're a sun worshiper, I'd advise getting to the pool early since the sun disappears behind the building at around 2pm. The hotel restaurant, Spice, has great food & service, but a very limited menu. The hotel Spa is the Mandera chain so it's a lot pricier than most. The gym is small but has everything you need for a good workout. The only drawback to this hotel is it's proximity to the beach - around a 20 min to walk to the Sanur beach club where the hotel guests are given vouchers to use. It includes a beach lounge chair and towel.

We loved our stay at the Inna Sindhu Beach Hotel. The staff we very courteous and friendly. We had a lovely room with a great view of the beach (However, not all rooms have this but they have lovely views of the gardens and pool) The building and rooms are a bit worn, however we did not mind this as the value for money was very good. The rooms were very clean and the beds the most comfortable we have experienced in hotels anywhere. The pool was very clean, the water warm and it wasn't crowded. Pool and beach towels were always readily available. We loved the restaurant which was open and beside the boardwalk along the Sanur beachfront. We could see the beach and beach activities from our table. The restaurant was very good value for money, the steaks were tender, other food was also good and the restaurant staff were very friendly, attentive and helpful. We thought the hotel was very well situated in Sanur being close to the beach restaurants and activities (more activities than further south or north along the Sanur coastline). The beach was very clean and sheltered, seemed safe for children. You could hire bicycles locally (in the street of the hotel). We intend to return as we were very pleased with our holiday.

This is a new hotel in Sanur and as expected, the bedding was all brand new and so comfortable! The room itself was a nice size, great HUGE TV, massive bathroom and even a chair on the deck overlooking the pool with a drying rack (so handy). The staff here were incredible, so helpful and friendly, it was sad to say goodbye to them after a week. We ate at the restaurant and the food was definitely better than most other places on this street, served in a very nice setting (inside or out, your choice). We were in room 304 which is at the back of the hotel and we experienced no noise problems at all. This is Bali so you expect to hear scooters, dogs, roosters, bar music - but we heard nothing. Deep slumbers every night! Can't say enough good things about this place, loved it, will be back again.

Artotel is a very value for money leisure hotel. Staff and services are excellent. All staff are relatively young and energetic, always show smiles, helpful and attentive. Room functions very well. Location is convenient, it is just 2 minutes by foot to Sanur Beach, 5 minutes to the tourist center. Breakfast is delicious. Only regret is the religion music may happen sometimes in the evening because the hotel is next to a temple, the music will last from 21:00 to 24:00, it is a minor concern if you sleep earlier.

We really enjoyed our stay here and looking back, I think we should have spent more time in Sanur than in Seminyak (this was our first time to Bali). We stayed in a Deluxe suite on level 2 where our balcony overlooked the pool. The room was spacious, clean and with good aircon. The coffee espresso machine was a novelty which we took full advantage of. The resort restaurant was great and serves a great variety food, mainly western though. For breakfast, you get to select a meal from the menu, and there are fresh fruits, breads and pastries to help yourself to as well. We went in the off season, so the hotel was not busy, which meant the pool was not busy. However, when there are people in it, you can hear them if they are talking loudly or yelling. Another great thing is Kejora has a sister hotel - Segara Village Hotel located a 5minute walk along the beach. It is much bigger and has beautiful gardens and multiple swimming pools. Therefore if Kejora pool is busy, go here. The Sanur beach at the back is nothing spectacular, however a clear sky sunrise is a treat to watch (if you're awake at 6am). The hotel itself is located on a not too busy street with a convenience store nearby and many restaurants. Its great if you want to just sit back and relax.

I stayed here for on week in July 2013. It was a last minute booking since I was originally going to spend a week in Yogyakarta. The location of the hotel is its best feature since you can walk down a small street directly across from the hotel to Sanur Beach. The hotel was clean, service was good, and the breakfast was more than adequate. I liked the little nooks and crannies, and the fact that were a number of pools and gardens which made for a very pleasant atmosphere.

Happy :) the hotel is great.. I think this is the best or one of the best hotel in Sanur.. The hotel itself is beautiful and the accomodation is very cheap? However Sanur is not a perfect place if you wat to go to the beautiful beach.. The beach in Sanur is for masses and bery public ( u can not even wear a swim suit, or worst you cannot even atay long at the beach beacause sand is not fine, and as ive aaid very public..

This is a delightful hotel, open, clean, with well-kept gardens and with easy access to a nice, clean beach. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We had a King Room, which was spacious with a large bed. There are two nice pools; during our stay one seemed to be used mainly by adults and one mainly by children. The rooms are in small blocks end-on to the beach, they do not all face the beach. One disadvantage, which applies to many hotels in Sanur, is that the hotel is right under the flight path of planes departing from Denpasar airport. This is particularly noticeable late at night and early in the morning.

We stayed here about a week. It was wonderful villa with great new facilities, as expected. The kitchen was helpful for light cooking when we felt lazy to dine out. Although the location is a bit far from nearest town/city. Therefore, it was no problem at all, because we rent a motorcycle for our daily transports anywhere we wanted to go. The staff was the best asset to the hotel. They made our stay exceptional and they served us every inch of their hands with truly hearts. Walking distance to the Sanur beach makes the additional plus to the hotel. Breakfast (especially bakmi and nasi goreng) was also great and we liked those very much. Highly recommended for those who is seeking a place to escape from “the real world”. Definitely we will come back again, because we missed the bugs-sprays men that always came around 7PM in the evening...

Grand Inna Bali is true to it's name. This Matron is spread over around forty hectares ( inclusive of golf course), along Sanur Beach There is the high rise: the Grand ( offering sea view rooms), then The Garden and the Resort with leisurely spread bungalows. There are few swimming pools, bars and restaurants to choose from. The Service is nice, swift and attentive. Sanur Beach with dozens more restaurants, is at your doorstep. Local shops, markets, cheep eateries, massage and beauty shops are 5 minutes walk away. We stayed at the Resort; in a comfy bungalow surrounded by pretty gardens. I spoke to many guests who have been staying here every year ( some have been coming here for 15+ years ). Breakfast is excellent, location is great, Service is top, value is unsurpassed. We stayed for a week and came back a week later ( after some islands exploring ) and we will stay here in future; this is a nice home away from home. Great area with fabolous plenty flower and tree, location were amazing, close to airport, denpasar down town, sindhu market, jazz and grill bar, also surrounding with great restaurant and bar along the beach with cheap price, hotel is front of the beach giva a plus, you can whach sunrise when enjoy breakfast, breakfast good to with many kind of american and continental menu, staff give their best to serving guest,very kind and profesional with smile, excellent service, we feel like we are a king and queen here, quite atmosphere and ambience give us comfort and want to stay here more and more, clean room with good facilities make it a place like a paradise, hotel has big swimming pool adult and children, beach also clean too, white sandy sanur beach very calm and safe given us a unforgetable memories, we definitely will return in nearly, hotel very recommended and we give 10 of 10 star for this hotel,thank you Inna Bali Beach Garden

The Sativa Cottages, Sanur, was the fourth hotel in 4 consecutive weeks that we stayed at in Southern Bali. It was the cheapest, and, in terms of value for money, by far the best hotel. We stayed here for 7 nights. Essentially I agree with other Reviewers here, that the Sativa does the essentials very well, and just needs a lick of paint. However the slight shabbiness of the property is minimal, and in no way detracts from positives of this hotel. The rooms are very clean, so you never feel an uneasy lack of hygiene as you do in some hotels. Most of the rooms are in 4 unit cottages set around a pool area. The rooms are of an adequate size, they have excellent air conditioning and a very plentiful supply of hot water. They also include a fridge, TV and sofa. We stayed in a groundfloor room which included a huge terrace area (at least 100 Sq feet) with both table ,chairs and a good soft seating area. I loved this terrace area for it’s space, convenience and, surprisingly, privacy. It’s the ‘outside annex’ to the room that so many hotels in Bali could learn from. The upstairs rooms have a beautiful balcony area looking onto the pools / gardens. Buffet Breakfast was very good given the price paid for the room, and far surpassed the breakfast provided at 2 hotels charging 70-100% more per night in the same area. The breakfast is ‘eat as much as you want’ (can ? !), I thought that the fresh fruits, freshly cooked eggs and pastries were good. The hotel is surrounded by little shops, bars and restaurants. It’s a 5-10 min walk to the beach where more restaurants can be found. Sanur beach is a developed tourist site, however, on the whole that development is low density and low rise, there is nothing over 4 stories here other than one large hotel at the far Northerly end of the strip. If you’re looking for a good mid range option in the centre of Sanur, which caters well for families, couples and singles then I think you can’t do much better than the Sativa

Ari Putri Hotel is located quiet end of Sanur. The hotel grounds are beautifully decorated with massive stone carvings and lush plants, which gives a very traditional and authentic feeling of Balinese arts and culture. During our holidays, we really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Our room was big and airy. The location of this hotel in Sanur was easy to find and within walking distance of good restaurants, shopping and the beach. We found all the staff were very friendly and ready to help. The breakfast was a good quality with a varied selection of different foods. The restaurant food in the evening and by the pool was excellent quality and very good value for money. The air con worked well and was not noisy - everything in our room worked well. We were very very happy with this lovely hotel in Sanur. During our stay we met the owner of the hotel Mrs. Agung Mas Partini who always ready to help all her guests with a big smile...she is very sweet too. Our special thanks to 2 other front office staffs Mr. Ngurah Darma and Ms. Made Indari. Overall our experience at this hotel was very and we recommend this hotel to others.

Bumi Ayu is amazing, I have zero complaints. Super friendly staff, lovely restaurant, awesome pool, nice rooms, just everything was great. Before we went there, we read reviews on it and there were some bad ones, but to be honest, the guests that would have written half the stuff they complained about must just be miserable people. Sure there's the occasional spot of mould in the shower, but it's a hot, damp place. I've worked in 5 star hotels with Mouldier showers than that! It's a close walk to the main road of Sanur which is full of amazing bars and restaurants and shopping. It takes hardly any time at all the walk to the beach, you can also just rent bikes and Vespas for super cheap. The reception was marvelous in booking tours and airport transfers for us. I'm planning on travelling back to Indonesia soon, and Im going out of my way to go to Sanur again just to stay at Bumi Ayu.

Nice rooms, but a bit on the small side. Quiet. Clean. Great staff. Wifi worked great everywhere! Wonderful breakfast and dining area. Started our trip here, and would have ended it here as well, but they were all booked up! Short walk to the beach. The beach is very nice compared to other beaches in Bali! The walkway with beachside cafes adds a wonderful ambiance to the whole area. Sanur is great!

great stay here, pool great with tropical garden, standard room large without safety box and not noisy enven if close to main street. beach 5' walk: take the hotel street just in front of puri sading. restaurant offers good value for money than others in sanur. u can also try flashback's guesthouse close which is different but also great (more traditionnal design). beach not the best to swimm, only high tide. great walking beach. seems good place to explore islands near and water sport.

Nesa Sanur is in a perfect location, really close to restaurants, shops and short walk to the beach. Pool great for those who want some shade. If you are a sun worshipper there is limited opportunity to sun bake for extended periods beside the pool, only a couple of sun beds are in the sun for part of the day - this suited us though. You can get a bemo (local shared van) up and down the strip for 5000Rp (approx 50cAUD) which we used on the odd occasion in the heat of the day, but other options exist closer to the hotel within minutes walk. Restaurants highly recommended: White Orchid - main strip to the right 100m (although more expensive, but with entertainment/live music) Mona Lisa - main strip to the left 500m El Concodor - main strip 100m to the left, quite cheap and huge range (we ate here 4 times) To go to the best part of the beach - go to left on main strip approx 350m and go down lane way at Cafe Smorgas at the end turn left. Many restaurants and some stalls

Fantastic. This was our third stay and we were as thrilled as on pervious trips. The staff are friendly and happy. The pool is very clean and a great size. Being a small complex of 16 rooms it is quiet and very relaxing. Only a few minutes walk to the beach. Nbreakfast included at Luhtus, the most lovely cafe in sanur, staff and owners are treasures, coffee and food delicious. Also Ayu spa is behind the cafe, and again great, staff are the best and so clean and friendly. Cannot recommend highly enough, thank you mahendra, Liliana, Ky, Ayu and made. Koming and Wedi and all the staff. 😊

Fantastic hotel,excellent atmoshere for the buffet brkfst after a walk along the beach,wonderful Balinese feel about the hotel and its lay-out,1 hr spa was absolute heaven,in the middle of Sanur for shopping both ends,1 hour free shuttle bus to anywhere in Sanur,Hardys supermarket only 5 minutes up the road,Staff are Magnificent and the pool is fantastic with sun on it most of the day or you can go to the Parigata Beach club,5 minutes along the beach (free to guests),pick-up a towel and lay on the sunloungers,will be staying here again next year as well,love it.

The hotel suited me. Not many frills, but everything I needed. (except - not that it mattered that much - no English language tv channel). The hotel is slightly tucked away down an archway, but there is a sign outside. BE WARNED: Agoda booked me into the Svarna Hotel, but google somehow automatically marked it up on my Google map as the Sanur Beach Hotel in a slightly different location. Google cannot be persuaded it has got things wrong! I spent a little time looking for the hotel in the wrong location. The hotel does not serve breakfast, but has an arrangement with the neighbouring Swastika Hotel 20 metres down the street. Breakfast is served in a cloister next looking out on the Swastika Hotel garden and pool. A great location for a very adequate breakfast. I loved the setting but was glad I was staying in the more modern Svarna. So overall, for me: good. Compact, modern and comfortable. Just make sure it's not raining when it's time for breakfast!

We loved our stay at Fave Tohpati. Very hip & modern hotel, well-maintained, crisp clean rooms and super friendly staff. Internet is very fast compared to rest of Indonesia & Bali and the breakfast fresh & delicious. The only catch is that the hotel is located in Tohpati and not Sanur as in the Agoda site... a taxi to Sanur will cost you 47k IDR one way. For the rest : great hotel !

My Wife and I have stayed in a 5 star hotel in Sanur before and we found this hotel to be just as good if not better. The pool is small, but even at peak time in September it was never crowded due to the size of the hotel and guest capacity. They have a lady that offers Massage by the pool for a great price (she is negotiable by the way) daily and the cost of drinks and meals at the restaurant are very competitive. We will definatly return to Mentari Sanur for another enjoyable stay in the future.

Hotel Palm Garden is in a perfect location, two minute walk to Sanur Beach, shopping and restaurants just around the corner. When I checked in, I was greeted with a yummy glass of cold juice. I was two hours early and was going to wait in the lobby for my room and they had it all ready. That was nice! It set the tone for a good stay. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful, there are rock/stone pathways to each room, the pool, the restaurant. Beautiful flowers everywhere. The pool was beautiful and relaxing. I decided the beach was too crowded for me so I stayed at the hotel pool and just relaxed there. There was such a good feeling being at the pool at Hotel Palm Garden and being in Bali, it just felt right. Now, one thing, when you enter the rooms, it's a little bit of a concern because they are very dated. However, they were spotless and big and there were men there all day long tidying up the grounds and the rooms. I will for sure stay there again when I'm in Bali.
